    Why does this thing lock up so frequently and need to be reset in the first place? It always seems to lock up at the most inconvenent (and cold) times.

    Thanks for the video, it was very useful. My Intellifire sometimes forgets that it should respond to "on" and "off" from the remote control ... even though it continues to understand things like flame level. My solution, discovered accidentally, is to turn the fire "on" from the module (slider to the right I guess) and leave it on till it times out (6 hours?). After that, my remote seems to work fine. Anyway, I thought I'd share this.

    Why does my module keep locking out? This happens all the time! I’ve changed batteries the 3V wall remote many times!

    We've had three service technicians from two different companies in for our Cerona 42 fireplace. Technicians is a loose term, more like component replacers. After two new control modules, the unit still doesn't function properly. The fan blows constantly, even when off and the flame sometimes will not go off, requiring the gas to be closed in order to kill the flame.

    After resetting the module, my pilot light turns on but the flame doesn't. After a few minutes, the module light starts blinking red three times and red once and keeps alternating in that pattern. Could you please help me find out what the problem is? Thank you.
    P.S. The electrical lights won't start from the controller to the unit.

    In my module i have three blinking red lights and one green one, do i change the sensor igniter?

    If it looks like this. Cause their constantly changing boards .. not this one yet but soon if better wsk. Mlt...or 400 get it right cause simple is better. It times out over summer and 593-592 locks out hard .. replace

    I did all that you said and got the pilot light to come on with my remote but after ~30 seconds it defaults back to green/red light blinking and pilot light goes out

    Our Escape I35-F has an inaccessible control module. You have to disassemble the fireplace to reach the unit. BAD design.

    Idk what the point is of this system just a thermopile and a wall switch works fine even in an outage and you don’t have another remote to add to the mess of the living room

    I have there heater can't find a repair service, I'm out over
    $ 230.00 the phone number your on hold 58 minutes and she won't help you. NO ONE WORKS ON HEAT AND GLOW.

    Heed my warning people, never ever buy one of these products, because they are pure junk!!!! I've only had this product for a short time, and it is nothing but a struggle every time I want to light it!!!!! Extremely frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!

    So here we are January 2021 and my fireplace has been broken more than it has ran in the last 8 or 9 years this equipment is junk and I just found out from my installer who never told me this in the past when he was out here to fix this thing 4 or 5 times that the place I bought my fireplace stopped carrying Heat and Glo about 8 years ago, this place is a huge fireplace retailer in Michigan so that should tell you something... Just stay away from this crap I told my wife this will be the last repair we put into our almost $4,000 dollar fireplace actually after all the parts and repairs probably a 8-$9,000 dollar fireplace I just can’t stress enough they make junk I am going pellet stove after this breaks again, cuz trust me it will fail again oh and you have to buy their overpriced special pipe with their name on it(at least when I bought mine) you can’t go to a regular stove place and buy regular stove pipe you have to use theirs or it VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY what kind of shit is that, crazy how that works. Look I’m not sure of the products they make now but if this particular retailer in Michigan isn’t selling them there is a reason why. I usually don’t like to say never but I will NEVER buy anything from Heat and Glo ever again not even parts cuz remember she breaks again this thing is going in the dump, cuz I would feel bad selling somebody a fireplace that i know is a lemon and it will only be a short time they can enjoy before it’s next failure. Oh and if your wondering why I said it was broken more than worked is because it worked for almost 3 seasons the way it should then during 3rd season toward the end it stopped, so this was expensive to get fixed every time ($400-$500) and didn’t always have the money to fix my $4,000 fireplace that shouldn’t have been FAILING me that’s why it sat sometimes. So I broke down again bought another new module and another pilot and I’m going to do it myself this time cuz I’ve watched my installer do this so many times I can save paying the labor for the repairs this time....yayyyy junk junk junk would never ever recommend this company for anything Sorry.....

      Thanks for your detailed description, with which I agree wholeheartedly after inheriting one of these non-functioning masterpieces. Can I ask where you found a replacement control module? I'd rather not enter the retailer community, if I can avoid it.
