"If you don't want to stretch it"... That Ruckus is literally 10in longer.
What is the range/mpg after the swap. Just wondering if a bigger gas tank is a good idea?
Is that a long case gy6? What the website to purchase might buy one end of this year . Is that for 2016-2018 ruckus ?.
Ugh, if only the kit was cheaper, way too much.
The quality reflects the price I promise!! :-)
How much is it
@@RollingWrench where can I buy the kit I need it asap
Whats the new mount that comes with it now? And i see your all sold out on the rear rim and tire
That's definitely a stretch. The wheelbase has been lengthened quite a bit. Are there any engine swaps that actually keep the stock look?
No, that’s as close as you can get
@@RollingWrench
Do you mean that the GY6 can't get shorter or that no other engine can get shorter?
Carl Siemens both, the short case gy6 won’t fit the wheel. If you bring the motor any closer it will hit the frame.
Is there any way to make it more compact? I suspect not. What would be an option to keep the overall dimensions but get some extra power?
Get a short case 150
I want to do a gy6 swap I I just dont think I can do this myself :/
So...how do you smog these ? Lol I'm getting one next year I would love for more info thanks
I just found out about you guys and I just love your website and if I ever buy a used Honda Ruckus I am definitely going to getting parts from you guys and would you guys deliver too Canada
Hey I'm very interested in buying one of these Ruckus I can't seem to find locally where I'm at could you give me some information on where I could buy and where I could get one that is already built out to maybe the 170 or out to the 250 and an idea of what one like that would cost thanks
Matt when will this Kit be back in stock? Please let me know. I'll be running my GET engine for a while, but would like to have this as a stand by or winter build.
Stock look??? WTF? umm, no. Looks like a Ruckus front end with a garbage china motor trying to hump it.
Explain the garbage China motor? What is your experience with failure to the GY6? My experience shows the GY6 is bullet proof. In last 10 years I have only seen but 2 motor failures. Are you educated on subject? Or just like to be negative?? Curious??? Clearly you don’t like the look. But thanks for sharing your thoughts lol
The rear wheel just has such a big gap from the frame. What size shock is that?
You can choose the stance with a lowered shock or different engine mount struts
When will you be getting these in stock?
Would i be able to put a lowered seat with this kit ?
Ya, definitely
Do you when you will have this conversion kit in stock? would be a great winter project for me.
Where can i get a 20 inch long rear shock
Will this kit work for a short case gy6 (743mm)
No unfortunately. I have test it
@@RollingWrench thanks for getting back to me, guess I'll need to try source me a longcase gy6, cheers
Can you put a fatty on the rear?
Has anyone done a gy6 150cc Honda aero
So does anyone have a whole kit for short case?
Short case won’t work. The tire / wheel won’t fit.
@@RollingWrench thought one of the other companies sells a kit.
@@chuckley54494 short case will only fit a low profile 10 inch wheel. Like found on a buddy scooter or metropolitan scooter
This kit need to be few 100....not arm and leg .....
Yaaaa, that would be nice. Unfortunately that’s unrealistic :-(
Where can I get the kit
Does the swap helps the existing fuel pump issue?
Please explain?
Hi um looking to do my GY6 swap in Thailand, i was wondering how much everything weighs
I’m not sure of the weight. I looove Thailand! I’ll fly out there and help you build it!!!
Rolling Wrench ATV Scooter & Motorcycle i actually think i can do it myself, i have never wrk on a moped or bike before but i do kno how to do engine swaps and custom fabrication and weld too. I got into the bike scene when i bought my family a honda zoomer(same as rukus). If i see videos on how to do certain things with mopeds i pretty much could copy or even make some custom designs to it. But im guna have to wait and see first
What model years does the conversion kit work with?
2002-current
Will the stock rear wheel work with this adapter or do I have to buy a new wheel when doing the swap?
The stock wheel won’t work :-( you will need a GY6 wheel
I'm trying to get a 150 swap done for fairly cheap, my ruck is my daily and I was run off the road the other day, I have a 150cc motor with a wheel is there any reason I can't just use that wheel or 2ill it not be centered?
@@thefatninja942 if it’s a skinny wheel that came with the GY6 chinese scooter you can use that. But you will need a skinny engine mount. Here is a link : www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/products/honda-ruckus-stock-look-gy6-mount-skinny-tire
Is that the skinny mount? And what wheel is that? I'd like to do this swap but I already have my motor.
Joseph Galanin . It's the skinny mount. We sell the wheel if you would like one. There are a few mods you will need to do to make it work. We will have a build series out very soon.
Rolling Wrench ATV Scooter & Motorcycle Repair where is the wheel? I couldn't find it on your website
Joseph Galanin we haven't put it on yet. It's $100 if you want it. Send us an email and I can send a invoice. Rollingwrenchdenver@gmail.com
@@RollingWrench when will you come back in stock will the skinny tire 10inch wheel for the GY6
You dont need a fillage ?
Awesome sauce as always
Can a lowered seat be used with the non stretched kit?
Yes :-)
Out of stock.
For now yes. Wheel are the hold up :-(
How much is the kit? And is it really worth the trouble of doing over stock? What's stock GET vs GY6 150cc comparison?
I would say it’s totally worth it. Your going from 2.5hp to 7hp. Major increase in power! :-)
Rolling Wrench what's the top speed of a stock gy6 swapped ruckus? I've priced a frankenbuild together for about 1300.
Around 55 but if you live at sea level you get about 20% more power. $1800 for our kit:
www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/products/honda-ruckus-gy6-conversion-kit-oem-look
1800.00??? I sure hope that includes everything including the engine.
