@@djvillan it's already on the second lowest general option and on - 38.3db on OBS 😭 It's so low already that if I at specific points don't speak loud enough and slightly whisper it just isn't getting registered, so I don't know what to change really.

Mamamoo is a real cinderella story in kpop. From their early days when they did their own styling and choreography, to filling stadiums and having respect for their talent from across the industry.
mamamoo is rare in K-pop, which all members have successful solo albums and activities and still an active group
They're not standing by age, they're standing in their standard positions as decided very early on in their career. They will always stand in that order whenever they can: Moonbyul - Solar - Wheein - Solar.
By age: Solar is oldest, followed by Moonbyul (a year younger), and Wheein and Hwasa is the same age (but Hwasa is younger in months).
I always find it funny how their standard position is almost by age and by height, but just barely misses both of those. If solar and byul flipped it'd be age order, if wheein and hwasa flipped it'd be height order. As is, their order is just... weird, but if they're in any other order it's very weird both for them and for us fans

I feel that as individual singers, these 4 ladies have really versatile vocal, which makes such a big difference when they are in the MAMAMOO group and when they have their own solo projects.
For Moonbyul, she has been mainly rapping right from the start and had minimal singing lines in MMM songs. Her voice tone in the group tend to be on the lower end. But as she ventured into her solos, her singing vocal VS rapping vocal is really different, and you'd get to hear her doing all sort of ranges, while her voice is really soothing and warm, like a warm river flowing through.
Solar (Yong Sun) is the belting vocal in the group, which I think that's why in her debut single, she focused more on her lower tones and sultry vibe. (which you might have also observed when she sang with Byul in Bada Boom).
Wheein is the backbone of the group, the lightness and full-bodied tone in her voice seems to blend into everyone's voices and added volume to the whole song. I've always loved it when I hear Wheein and Byul's vocals singing the same line. While doing solo work, Wheein's voice got a lot fuller and resonates like you're in a field and hearing nature singing all around you, it really draws you into the feels.
Hwasa (Hyejin) is the jazzy, sultry, headstrong vocal of the group, and you might notice her starting those songs when it calls for the strong, fierce, attention-grabbing vibe. Even though Hwasa's image when on stage is very fierce and intense looking, Hyejin is a very warm and emotional baby. Thus, most, if not all, her songs have very emotional and soul grabbing feeling to them.
HOWEVER, all 4 ladies are extremely good in understanding and blending their individual singing styles/tones to whoever they are working with. THEREFORE, when MMM is in a group, their dynamic is just totally amazing. Even though you can see 4 individual personalities every time you see them, you will forever recognise the vibe of MAMAMOO and whenever they sing, their genre is famously known as MAMAMOO.

As any moomoo will tell you Mamamoo is best when live because of their amazing vocals, stage presence and bff team chemistry. The stage is their playground and they're even better when they have an audience to play with too. I Miss You is the only song in this medley without an MV so watching the Queendom performance is the best way to appreciate the full song. For that "Fan-dora's Box" round of Queendom the contestants had to perform a song suggested by their fans. Mamamoo took the spirit of the fan round to heart by partially re-writing I Miss You to turn it into a love song to moomoos. They were the only ones to take that approach to the assignment and there was not a dry moo eye in the audience by the time they were done.
Btw, Mumumumuch wasn't really a comeback since they didn't promote the song. It was meant as a gift to moomoos as part of their two CD career retrospective album I Say Mamamoo: The Best, which included brand new recordings with new arrangements of 21 of their hits and favorite b-sides plus Mumumumuch and another new song. The last title track they promoted was Where Are We Now, a vocal masterpiece from their 4 song all-ballad EP WAW which was released a few months before Mumumumuch.

They stand out in all girl group, with their amazing vocal stability, their live performances, their charisma, their visual, and their goofiness. Also they are the Gril group with most Female fans, you can truly feel the girl crush here.

Every one of their Queendom performances are incredible. Opening with my favorite live performance of Decalcomanie. Totally deconstructing AOA good luck for the cover round. Hwasa and Kei (from Lovleyz) duet on Wish you were Gay. The performance of I Miss You and finally Destiny, probably my favorite Mamamoo song.
At some point you will want to watch Purple Hawk's guide part one and two. All the members are amazing humans as well as singers. And the other total vocal flex live is Immortal Songs Medley. Immortal songs is a contest show where the performers cover songs by famous Korean artists. The medley video is a part of one of their concerts.
Oh yeah! The Purple Hawk's guide when it comes to introducing members of a group, is the best one not only for Mamamoo but for the whole industry I think! ^^
It's so funny because you knew them first as solo artist, and when these four came together you were so overwhelmed 😂 mamamoo are 4 individual and complete artists but when they come together it's so good and feels so epic, their chemistry is so good.

When Wheein and Byul dropped their comeback albums, MAMAMOO's collective songs/discography has officially past 365 songs.
So even if you react to 1 song EVERY SINGLE DAY, it will still take you more than 1 year to complete everything. Also, they have all mentioned that they wanted to release FULL solo albums this year too. So expect to add another 50 songs this year again...

Yesssss, would definitely wait for your reaction to their discography. They already had 14 albums under their belt. Also you might want to catch-up their solos as well. I think it is safe to say that Mamamoo don't have bad songs. So yeah, just pick any song, you will never do wrong choice with Mamamoo.
This is my absolute favorite kpop group, they always go further in every sense, they really have everything! voices, personality, looks, presence, friendship and amazing chemistry, this is an all rounder and I really hope you dig deeper into their discography cause it's full of GEMS, they make the best music I listen to and sometimes I wish I could forget it all to discover it all over again. Thank you for giving them a chance and I really want to see you reacting to a lot more of them :)
Really enjoyed your reaction to hearing them live for the first time and to their discography. I was also introduced to Mamamoo through their Killing Voice performance. Their beautiful vocals were obvious standouts but what really captured my attention was their playful antics and dynamics, both vocally and in their interactions with each other. The ease with which they performed this like they just dropped in, belted out some perfect harmonies while having laughs is just too cool. They're so comfortable performing and know how to work the camera to draw you in. Since becoming their fan and seeing more fully what they're capable of, I see now that the Killing Voice was just the tip of the iceberg of showing just what these girls can do. Looking forward to your journey to discovering their discography and who they are as a group. Aside from checking out their MVs, as many have mentioned, they are really best experienced live so checking their Immortal Songs Medley is a definite must. Hope to see more Mamamoo content soon!

When they debuted on June 19th, 2014, RBW was a very small company and they had to prove themselves as well as doing their own choreography, makeup, etc. They cut their teeth by busking and doing college festivals. In 7 years they have released 3 albums and 11 EPs. Each one of the girls has released solos, and numerous collabs and OSTs. Appeared on many TV shows such as Queendom, Immortal singer, masked singer, and Hee-Yeol's Sketchbook. Makes me feel a little lazy.

WELL YES Solar is FINALLY having her first solo album on March 16th ;A;
She also has another solo song "spit it out" and other special stuffs but what I love to recommend the MOST is her ost "Adrenaline", like I strooongly recommend to check it!
She's my bias, but still for now my fav solo artist of Mamamoo is Hwasa, I totally dig the style she goes for. I really can't choose an all time fav singer in this group like, it depends too much of what song or what line and so goes on... but my fav tone is Wheein's. Finally Byul is to me, for now too, the most versatile soloist between the four of them. She reaaally likes to explore and I'm all in for this; and she's DARING (lyrics wise heh)

More Mamamoo reactions please. All their Queendom Performances are amazing. Mamamoo never disappoints. Btw, they are the winner of Queendom 1. You can also watch Immortal Medley Songs and Mama 2018-2020. They are at their best element on live performances.

😂 They’re just amazing. I really love their personalities, vocals, songs, and live performances too. For me, their songs are just masterpieces. They’ve every genre of song /+210 songs/. Whatever song chooses you would like it.
