Warmed up to them years ago, by listening to Hwasa who is far right. Fell in love with these ladies with the song I MISS YOU. That fkn song hits your soul. My favorite Kpop group and all of them have solo work. Moonbyul the rapper, SOLAR, Wheenin, Hwasa from the order you see. They all can rap btw.

Oof Mamamoo is just in a league of their own. Incredible vocalists Far left is Moonbyul, one of the most credited idol songwriters in the industry. "Shutdown" by Moonbyul is a favorite of mine with gorgeous, poetic lyrics. Second from left is Solar, vocal powerhouse and leader of Mamamoo. "Honey" by Solar is a good one. Second from right is Wheein, she recently signed onto L1VE label for her solo work and favors r&b in terms of the solo work she releases. "Watercolor" and "Make Me Happy" are two incredible songs by Wheein. Hwasa is far right, super sultry, and oozes sex appeal without even trying. "Be Calm" by Hwasa is an all-time favorite of mine.
Some will say, "Best vocals in K-pop." In fact, a few other groups have one or exceptionally two vocalists on this level but that will be out of seven or even twelve members. In this group, even the rapper auditioned as a vocalist and made the group only to be converted to rap just prior to debut after another girl left the group to get married. Now she's one of the top rappers in K-pop. I intentionally didn't say female. The one on the left and the one on the right are designated as rappers but all can rap. The two best dancers are said to be "In charge of performance" because they started out performing choreography to enhance the song rather than athletic dances that would interfere with their vocals. And they did their own choreography. Starting in 2019 they started hiring choreographers and upped their game because people said they couldn't dance. Hwasa, considered to be the weakest dancer, won the award for best solo dance for her song Maria at a yearend award show against competition known for their dancing. I don't know why no one told you about them, but some might have been afraid you'd find out about them. I'll leave the suggestions to others, but you'd be a fool to not watch more of them and you don't seem like a fool. Enjoy.
I really enjoyed how you appreciated them. The MV's of any of these songs are great place to start. Eventually you'll want to see their ultimate vocal flex, the Immortal Songs Medley. That's a clip from the middle of their concert in 2017. Immortal songs is a competition show where the contestants cover songs by famous Korean artists. Mamamoo was the first idol group to win and they appeared many times. If you get to the point of wanting to watch a guide Purple Hawk's, while somewhat dated is the best for getting to know them as individuals. All 4 have successful solo careers as well. Moonbyul the rapper writes all her own raps and is the most credited female idol in Kpop. Also let me just put in a plug for their younger sister group Purple Kiss. Their debut Ponzona is good place to start.

Imo kpop fans take Mamamoo for granted and are more likely to pay attention to the trendy new groups than older veterans like MMM. MMM has been around since 2014 so they're one of the most senior girl groups still active. They're generally acknowledged as the premier female vocal group in kpop and you won't regret falling into their rabbit hole, one of the deepest and most fascinating in Korean music. Yes, they can dance tho you'll probably get comments saying they can't. In performance MMM focuses on delivering excellent vocals (they don't lip sync) and for the first 4 or 5 years they did most of their own choreography, which they tailored to allow them to sing well while using hand mics. In 2019 they started hiring famous choreographers and doing more complex dances that forced them to ditch the hand mics for headsets on a few songs. People who say MMM can't dance misunderstand their performance philosophy, which is more old school entertainer in style than the current trend of groups who focus on dance, do intense, knife-like choreo and lip sync the vocals. As evidence of their dancing skills they've won a group dance award and Hwasa, the member on the far right, won the 2020 MAMA solo dance award for her song Maria, beating out nominees like dance legend Taemin of SHINee. Not bad for someone who's usually considered to be the worst dancer in a group not known for their dancing. Moonbyul (aka Moonstar because Byul means Star) is indeed the main rapper but Hwasa (far right) is also a member of MMM's rapper line and the other two members can rap as well. Moonbyul is also an excellent singer and she recently won a landslide victory on a tv show called The Second World where 8 girl group rappers competed as singers. You could say they're the four moosketeers of kpop - all for one and one for all. :) I Miss You is one of MMM's vocal masterpieces. There were lots of tears shed when Mamamoo performed I Miss You on the 2019 female competition tv show Queendom. In that "Fan-dora's Box" round of Queendom the competitors had to perform a song suggested by their fans. Hi there! Just found this channel, yea Mamamoo is one of the best vocal Kpop groups out there for sure, I love their music. If you want to hear more of them they have a lot of songs not on this medley, some of my favorite are: Gleam MV - (actually an ad song for glasses but its so good) Piano Man - (one of their early songs that has similar vibe to the first song on the medley) Taller Than You - (a funny joke song about their heights and who is taller, kinda sounds like an early eminem song lol) Alternatively, you can check out their solo work, as each of them have released songs as soloists while still being in the group. I will rank some of them for each member based on my own personal preferences: Solar - (Spit it Out), (Honey) Moonbyul - (Eclipse), (Shutdown), (Absence) Wheein - (Watercolor), (Easy) Hwasa - (Maria), (Twit), (Im a B) There are a lot more songs but I will leave that there for you to decide. Another Killing Voice that blew me away was BigMama, they are an older quartet of women in their 40s-50s that are absolutely killer vocally. They have a very soul-inspired sound to them, and are highly trained, one is even a musical professor. Consider checking them out!

Great reaction and I hope you do more. Literally any video is good. This one was Live by the way, yeah they can sing that well Live and they sound that good even at the end of a 3 hour concert. The hit just about every genre from jazz, big band, reggaeton, latin, pop, rock, r&b, there are even a couple of US country flavored songs. They really are at the top for best vocals and as good for live performances, they put on shows complete with comedy skits, audience participation and etc. They also write lyrics and compose the music, Moonbyul ( the rapper) is the most credited female singer for lyrics in korea. Wheein has that sweet honey voice, Hwasa(yeah no comment, Watch egotistic if you want no comments for all 4 of them) and Solar is the steel lungs belter who I have seen belt like that live after 11 minutes of singing and dancing to a Despacito cover while swinging around a stripper pole holding a mic in one hand. They do albums, OSTs, solos, covers in 2022 alone they did over 25+ songs in that 1 year. Solar is my bias, favorite singer after Prince. She starred in a musical and released one of the songs end of last year on her Solarsido youtube channel where she has a lot, like a Cover of michael jackson man in the mirror. Moonbyul2da and Whee In are thier respective channels. Hwasa (No comment) has a channel but really isnt active like the others. Their backstory is basically they were told they were too old(at about 21 for Solar) not pretty and too short by Korean Idol standards(I know they are 4 of the most beautful women ever) and were told the only way to make it is to become the best vocalists ever and best performers to go with it. So they did it and that is why they are that good. The video was a few years ago when they were mid 20s or so. Now Solar is 32, and Hwasa is 27, and as you know voices get better over time, women sound better, they are doing a Tour right now, still singing that well live. Watch anything Live, watch their MVs most tell a story like Um ah Oh Yeh or are hilarious like 1 CM, beautiful like I Miss You try Paint me as well, the lastest songs are 1llella, 1,2,3 eoi and LIEC which are all great. Solos I would start with Moonbyul Lunatic and Eclipse, Wheein is Water Color and Make me Happy, Hwasa is Maria and I'm a Bich, Solar well I would watch her whole Face album and all 5 songs on the live performance video. Honey is the main song watch that MV, her Spit it Out. also her OST Adrenaline. Best vocals on an OST call Woo Hoo and a live song about pikachu while dressed as pokemon, yeah insane vocals, Immortal Songs, Immortal songs 2, Delilah, Save me from myself are all covers which are insane. Dont worry at some point you will go from supporter to full Moomoo, its impossible to not love those vocals.
Mamamoo is rlly one of a kind and they might lost their hype but they are very popular and after the big 3 girlgroups with in the 3rd gen (twice, Blackpink, red velvet) they definitely belong to the top kpop girlgroups. The others that are rated the best are outstanding but not of this caliber. They Mamamoo are up there with Envouge here in the states. The harmonies are on point.

Moonbyul (in the sweatear) is the rapper in the group, ands can definetely sing, yet Hwasa (grey swetpants) and Solar (black dress with white stripes) enjoy rapping as well, but do it on other selected tracks or in their solo songs. If you wanto to hear Solar have a rapping moment, you can look up "Honey", it blew aways so many fans with her skills. And there is a song called "1cm" where all of them rap, it's a weird and funny song.

Of course you never heard them. They Kpop stans mostly focus on the group that are coming from the big company! Mamamoo’s company are small and they are the first group debuting under the company. Mamamoo are one of the top4 girl group in korea. International? They could be as famous as other group (they still are) but their company sucks. Wasting their talent by not promoting them properly.

Moonbyul the rapper writes all her own raps and is the most credited female idol in Kpop.

Sorry nobody turned you on to Mamamaoo previously. Imo kpop fans take Mamamoo for granted and are more likely to pay attention to the trendy new groups than older veterans like MMM. MMM has been around since 2014 so they're one of the most senior girl groups still active. They're generally acknowledged as the premier female vocal group in kpop and you won't regret falling into their rabbit hole, one of the deepest and most fascinating in Korean music.
Yes, they can dance tho you'll probably get comments saying they can't. In performance MMM focuses on delivering excellent vocals (they don't lip sync) and for the first 4 or 5 years they did most of their own choreography, which they tailored to allow them to sing well while using hand mics. In 2019 they started hiring famous choreographers and doing more complex dances that forced them to ditch the hand mics for headsets on a few songs. People who say MMM can't dance misunderstand their performance philosophy, which is more old school entertainer in style than the current trend of groups who focus on dance, do intense, knife-like choreo and lip sync the vocals. As evidence of their dancing skills they've won a group dance award and Hwasa, the member on the far right, won the 2020 MAMA solo dance award for her song Maria, beating out nominees like dance legend Taemin of SHINee. Not bad for someone who's usually considered to be the worst dancer in a group not known for their dancing.
Moonbyul (aka Moonstar because Byul means Star) is indeed the main rapper but Hwasa (far right) is also a member of MMM's rapper line and the other two members can rap as well. Moonbyul is also an excellent singer and she recently won a landslide victory on a tv show called The Second World where 8 girl group rappers competed as singers.
I agree that many girl groups consist of singers with high soprano voices that are often indistinguishable without a visual aid while the MMM members have four distinctly different timbres and vocal styles. They're an all star group and each has a successful solo career on the side but they're also best friends and their bff team chemistry is evident when they blend their unique voices in perfect harmony. You could say they're the four moosketeers of kpop - all for one and one for all. :)
I Miss You is one of MMM's vocal masterpieces. There were lots of tears shed when Mamamoo performed I Miss You on the 2019 female competition tv show Queendom. In that "Fan-dora's Box" round of Queendom the competitors had to perform a song suggested by their fans. MMM took the spirit of the fan round to heart by turning I Miss You into a love song to moomoos (their fandom). Before long there wasn't a dry moo eye in the house.

Great reaction and I hope you do more. Literally any video is good. This one was Live by the way, yeah they can sing that well Live and they sound that good even at the end of a 3 hour concert. The hit just about every genre from jazz, big band, reggaeton, latin, pop, rock, r&b, there are even a couple of US country flavored songs. They really are at the top for best vocals and as good for live performances, they put on shows complete with comedy skits, audience participation and etc. They also write lyrics and compose the music, Moonbyul ( the rapper) is the most credited female singer for lyrics in korea. Wheein has that sweet honey voice, Hwasa(yeah no comment, Watch egotistic if you want no comments for all 4 of them) and Solar is the steel lungs belter who I have seen belt like that live after 11 minutes of singing and dancing to a Despacito cover while swinging around a stripper pole holding a mic in one hand. They do albums, OSTs, solos, covers in 2022 alone they did over 25+ songs in that 1 year. Solar is my bias, favorite singer after Prince. She starred in a musical and released one of the songs end of last year on her Solarsido youtube channel where she has a lot, like a Cover of michael jackson man in the mirror. Moonbyul2da and Whee In are thier respective channels. Hwasa (No comment) has a channel but really isnt active like the others. Their backstory is basically they were told they were too old(at about 21 for Solar) not pretty and too short by Korean Idol standards(I know they are 4 of the most beautful women ever) and were told the only way to make it is to become the best vocalists ever and best performers to go with it. So they did it and that is why they are that good. The video was a few years ago when they were mid 20s or so. Now Solar is 32, and Hwasa is 27, and as you know voices get better over time, women sound better, they are doing a Tour right now, still singing that well live. Watch anything Live, watch their MVs most tell a story like Um ah Oh Yeh or are hilarious like 1 CM, beautiful like I Miss You try Paint me as well, the lastest songs are 1llella, 1,2,3 eoi and LIEC which are all great. Solos I would start with Moonbyul Lunatic and Eclipse, Wheein is Water Color and Make me Happy, Hwasa is Maria and I'm a Bich, Solar well I would watch her whole Face album and all 5 songs on the live performance video. Honey is the main song watch that MV, her Spit it Out. also her OST Adrenaline. Best vocals on an OST call Woo Hoo and a live song about pikachu while dressed as pokemon, yeah insane vocals, Immortal Songs, Immortal songs 2, Delilah, Save me from myself are all covers which are insane. Dont worry at some point you will go from supporter to full Moomoo, its impossible to not love those vocals.
Mamamoo is rlly one of a kind and they might lost their hype but they are very popular and after the big 3 girlgroups with in the 3rd gen (twice, Blackpink, red velvet) they definitely belong to the top kpop girlgroups. Coming from a small company as the first group from them literally build that company with pure talent. And also a quite big fandom.

“Don’t” by Loco and Hwasa is a great collab done in one take and when you know that Loco could barely look at Hwasa unless he was in rap mode because he had a crush on her, it just makes it so much better.
Mamamoo is so underrated. They are the best female K-pop groups that I have heard of. They have the best female rapper in the group and the best singers. The others that are rated the best are outstanding but not of this caliber. They Mamamoo are up there with Envouge here in the states. The harmonies are on point.

Moonbyul (in the sweatear) is the rapper in the group, ands can definetely sing, yet Hwasa (grey swetpants) and Solar (black dress with white stripes) enjoy rapping as well, but do it on other selected tracks or in their solo songs. If you wanto to hear Solar have a rapping moment, you can look up "Honey", it blew aways so many fans with her skills. And there is a song called "1cm" where all of them rap, it's a weird and funny song.

Of course you never heard them. They Kpop stans mostly focus on the group that are coming from the big company! Mamamoo’s company are small and they are the first group debuting under the company.
