I was really dissapointed they made forceful great sword not work with land spear. With all the multi hit skills spear has, it would of been great for might generation

yea completely agree. It may be done on purpose due to balance reason, it could also be because Anet is incompetent.
With a few minor tweaks, and maybe a rework of the primal burst (since sword primal is strictly better) spear could be a lot of fun
I liked ele and mesmer spear wise
