Well, it depends on wether you use your headlight or not, if you have a race fairing without a headlight, you dont need the bracket on the left side of the frame, if you do use the headlight you Will need m... The shop where i bought the steering damper had one in store, but you can also make one your self, i can send you a detailed close up if you need
From wich year is your srad? Because 96' and 97' dont have the preparations on the left side of the frame, you could weld it on and if you weld it on the Wright position you also dont need the bracket on the left side of the frame... As for the clamp around the fork leg, when you buy your steering damper at your race shop they Will most likely provide you with the Wright diameter fork clamp... If your Bike does have the preparation on the frame you can also mount your damper reversed, if you do that you wont need the aditional bracket on the frame, just keep in mind that if you fall on the left side with reversed damper, you'll probably brake it Because mounted like This is sticks out a bit
My bike is 99 so its already prepped on the frame side of things. I have an ohlins steering damper already fitted with a harris "y" frame bracket. The only thing with it is that its not as stable as the original bracket so my mirror's are really shakey. Do you know what size fork clamp you have on yours. My forks are the upright version. Not the upside down forks.
Hi Man, I've got a little question about your steering dumper.... I am searching for one for my GSXR 600, year 1997.... Can you tell me, where did you buy it? Thx for some tips!
+Vojtěch Adam i bought the stabilizer at www.race-shop.nl but i'm not sure if the 600 has the preparations on the left side of the frame, if not you can mount one beneath the lower tripple clamp or above the upper tripple clamp
1st off, video was too short. lol Enjoyed the video tremendously, thanks. I have an opportunity to pick up a 99' at the moment. Do you still have your 99', if so how many miles/km do you currently have? One I'm looking at has 36k mile or 58k km. I'm interested in it because it still has factory graphics and paint scheme, it's not all hacked up and repainted. Has some nice upgrades, but 36k miles sure seems like a lot on a bike.
Haha! Nice! Yes, still have the bike, its a few km's shy of 70k at the moment. Its still in excellent condition and i've no doubt it my bike wont cross the 100k km. I've bought it in 2011 with 37k km on it, in the end its all about the maintenance. If its a good bike technical wise, you wont regret it, cheers mate
@@gixxer7501991 Cheers! Thanks for the input and your bike is nice eye candy. Had a mint 97' 750, then a 02' 750 but never a 98' or 99' fuel injection. If this guy drops his price a bit I'd pick it up. Hard to find clean late 90's- early 2000's GSX-R 750s. Love the factory colors and yours has to be one of the cleanest survivors. Thanks again for sharing the excellent video. Hopefully we'll see another soon?
I have the standard fairing so I use my headlight. By looking at the video it looks like you have a clamp around the fork leg and then a bracket to mount onto the frame. I feel pretty confident about fitting it to the frame. I'm curious as to where to get hold of the clamp onto the fork? if you could help that would be great. detail shots of yours would be good too if that's ok.
