    Great video, another reason to buy a Microwave! The parameter tweaking on the Matrix sounds horrible at the start.

      Not sure which OS it was ... 6 years ago... most probably the last official Oberheim V1.13

    For improved Matrix-1000 sysex response, check out the 1.1.3 firmware eprom, image available at the "oberheim" Yahoo group.

    These are great, I don't have any of those synths, so i voted for DSI evolver to be next next on your web site.

    Did you program those melodies (especially the matrix 1000 one) yourself? Or are they from a MIDI pack? I noticed you have some great melodies, like on these, the tx81z and the prophet vs too.

    • @stereoping
      @stereoping  7 років тому +2

      Thanks a lot for your kind comment. No midi packs used. It's all original right from the brain into the DAW, roughly played and fine tuned pushing notes with the mouse around. I wished i could play better on the keyboard to have it more directly

      Stereoping really good, I'm about to buy a Matrix 1000, do you still make the controller for it?

    Die Hintergrund-Sequenz nervt nicht nur, sondern sie verdeckt auch viel von den klanglichen Auswirkungen der Editierungen.

    Bad ass! Anything for the new yamaha reface dx ? There are tons of parameters buried in menus.

    • @stereoping
      @stereoping  8 років тому +2

      Didnt check out the reface yet. Still i got a bunch of old Yamahas like DX7,TX7,DX7II,TX802,FB01 sitting here and waiting for a hardware midicontroller to be developed. Things go so slooooow when you got to manage everything in a 1-man company.

    Hi,
    Does all the all m1000 black version parameters are fully controlable (as on as live) and recoverable with this device ?
    Regards,

    • @stereoping
      @stereoping  2 роки тому

      No, the Synth Controller just covers the most important parameters.

  • @leor.111

    Nice! Could you explain how to get the sound at 1:25 - 1:30 please ?

    • @stereoping
      @stereoping  9 років тому +1

      I think you mean the AlphaJuno sound? High reso, high vcf-keytracking, low/mid cutoff lets the filter walk with the notepitch. Second inportant issue is the envelope: null attack, level 1+2 full up, level 3 (sustain) at about 30%, fast times for t1,2,3. This gives you kind of guitar shape - now set a long release time (T4). In total you get a resonant filter walking with the pitch, a defined plucked-envelope with a kind of reverb from the long release. The waveforma are not that important, they all sound cool somehow.

      Thanks :-)
      .. JV1080 ... i got one for checking it. Love the sound and a controller might surely help editing. But this small Controller is definately the wrong hardware. I am working on a BIG one for Microwave and Matrix. Maybe this could be the JV1080.

    If you tweak a sound on the MKS-50 and you like what you did, can you save it in the MKS-50's memory?

    • @stereoping

      There is a nice 2.0 eprom you can get that speeds it up quite a bit. It yeah I agree

    hello stero ping!(apologies for the long post but this i feel is crucial) i am writing because i like the idea of what your doing but there was no other place i could find to contact you even on your website. midi/sysex controllers have been done before even for some of these clasics and even better genric ones with nosb lighting feed back. if your going to do this kind of thing in 2017 then please think and add value for your users instead of adding expensive and unnecessary clutter of boxes and cables at best.and at worst simply exploiting users $. you dont need 3 boxes u only need 1 you have all the code for the different synth boxes parameters if you want you could even include easy plastic laminate screen templates for all the syths users could switch between if you really couldn't find away to over lay all the parameters in generally the same nobs for most syths..please do the logical practical ethical and cost effective thing for your users and studio musicians and have one box than can control all these functions for as many hardware synths as humanly possible ( the code values for what is controlling what parameter no the many synths could be switch by one switching knob). using all these multiple boxes for just midi/sysex is crazy expensive and wasteful to do this any other way. you are coming out with your huge synth synth programmer wich is a 19inch rack size version of these and you still are using them to ave othl only one synth like a mks30 or a matrix1000 i have both of these and 1 of these new controller will likely cost more than i paid for either. this system is crazy in practice and will have your business fail in the long run. listen to me because i want you to succed make the new 5s0nob syon provided it nth programmer universal with a button or nob on the back or front that can step through controls of different synth then you will have something that may reach a large market saturation provided it has been setup to control 10 or more of the most popular rack synth and people will be able to justify the monitory, phisiclal space costs of incorporating your controller into there studio.

      (Ps whats written is not meant as an attack but rather as suggestions and support from some who want
      your project to succeed long term ,all my best and feel free
      to get in touch.

      Dude, on their website they clearly state that you can change the firmware of any of their controllers to one of the other synths it supports.
      Under FAQ
      "Can i dump the 1016r-edition firmware into my Synth Controller in Microwave edition?
      Sure. The hardware of the Synth Controller is compatible with all firmwares. It also does not matter whether it’s the DIY-kit or the assembled version. Btw, if you jump over to ‘Manuals’ you can download PDFs for printout of all faceplates."
      It's just convenient to have it ready to control a specific synth right out of the box as opposed to having to set all the parameters yourself.

    • @PabloInformation
      @PabloInformation 7 років тому

      that's great that at least that's available to do a hardware dump but not very practical in a working studio if i have to do a firmware dump every time i want to conrol another synthesizer with my controller.we test sounds and make music the fly so to speak:

    • @PabloInformation
      @PabloInformation 7 років тому

      SOLUTION - STEREO PING >>>> Please Read Bellow FOR YOUR OWN SUCCESS!!
      (1) it costs next to nothing to add knob that's labeled and scrolls between all available firmware on the fly . even better add it as a function on the new forthcoming 50 nob programmer that has a screen and just make it a 2 digit number you scroll through to find the specific synth you want to control at the moment.

    • @PabloInformation
      @PabloInformation 7 років тому

      (2) this will eliminate the need for most additional boxes , streamline workflow for hardware synth studio owners and create an attractive and compelling value proposition for syth owners to flock to this controller as there solution which intern will make your brand famoous and eliminate thate need for unnecessary aditional boxes were it can just focus on adding new firmware to compel even more studios with various synths to buy the ONE UNIT TO RULE THEM ALL ;)

    Nice product but WAY out of the range of a typical working musician. Typical, you have to be well off to afford the synth and even more well off to purchase any upgrades like this. Whats new?
