  • I try to avoid laying any kinds of poisons in our garden.
I make an exception when it comes to rats and mice.
I do not allow the rat poison to remain out more than 2 weeks.
By that time it is easy to work out whether it has been eaten or not.
I have never seen a hedgehog in our back garden area.
I will make sure our grandchildren do not go near the tube containing the poison.
We do not have any cats or dogs and none live nearby.
A rat did get into our house years ago. It was difficult to remove. I do not want that ever happening again.

Well let's hope you get the Blighter Tom, i would also have quick look round in the garage to see if there is any signs of nest building, you don't need me to tell you the damage they can do too your car, good luck.

Hello Tom , good job and good luck , we get the old one here not so much now as I have stopped feeding the birds , may have to start again if we get a hard winter . I still use the old style neck snapper trap i put peanut butter under the bait plate seems to work quite well. Thanks Tom.

I might have to get me one of those traps if this method doesn't work. I like seeing the birds coming and singing.
