My sons CoArc wasn’t found until he was nearly 12months old, his surgery was at 16months. He also had a VSD repair. Today’s he’s a healthy 14yo teenager! We see our Cardiologist regularly, so far things seem stable 👍🏻

my mom knew for the full nine months and I was born at 37 weeks and I had a lot of problems at birth I was born with aortic stenosis sadly they didn’t find out until I was born I had heart surgery in April 2001 when I was 2 weeks old I got to go home for one day then they called my parents to tell them they have to rush me to the hospital. Thank goodness ever since then I have not needed another heart surgery and it’s been over 20 years since I got the surgery
I found out shortly after birth that my son has CoA. He is now 7 weeks old. Hia surgery is scheduled for this month. His dad and I are terrified. We are praying for a safe surgery. My first child was born with Arsa and my second child 37 weeks now I was told after fetal echo, has a coarctation as well and will have to stay in the nicu and may need an operation. I’ve been scared out of my mind and it’s all I can think about. Please pray my baby isn’t gonna need any operations🙏

I had a coarctation repaired in 1962, I was one. Just quibbling over language: I don't have congenital heart disease, as a disease is acquired. I DO have a defect, however. I tell people I am defective, it's worth a laugh.
Hello molly can I talk to u . My husband is 40 now he got news after a CT scan than he has coarctation. Problem we are sacred to take stent please guide is there any problem after doing the procedure. Pls send your expérience we are in France .

My baby has the same and has VSD. He is barely a week year old. You don’t know how much hope you have given me.
Same case with my daughter, she had underwent surgery this Mar. 14, 2024.

@@GH56789 yes this is routine! I daily take Bisoprolol and Irbersatan for blood pressure . But otherwise i have no complaints

My baby is the patients having the same problem it repaired via surgery in pakistan but it again occurd what to do really worried...
