      Hi Joanna, I think that is what these appliances are for- you and I want dinner/ lunch/ breakfast easy, simple but tasty! And super quick. Yes I can make “fancy” or complicated dishes but sometimes you just need tasty and quick. And I do love these potatoes- sometimes I make them just for a snack instead of chips. Thank you!

    I love roasted potatoes. I think I may add my onions half way through. We like them lightly brown. That will be good with carrots too. Would the potatoes and carrots have the same cooking time?

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 роки тому +1

      Good question-I have to admit I haven't done carrots. But I would make them a similar size and they should be about. the same time. I will try. tis tomorrow morning;(have to work this evening) I have roasted carrots, sweet potatoes and the like together and it came out great. I will keep you posted.
      Great idea with the onions-will be trying that as well. made then in. the Ninja foodi and lets just say the onions were well done.(took 40minutes in the foodi) Thanks Cynthia!

    I wouldn’t want to upset you in the kitchen. You and that knife look like you’re old friends.😁😁 I love to roast potatoes in my Foodi using the recipe in the included book. After awhile I discovered that I like to spritz them with some EV olive oil before serving. They actually absorb the oil and are delicious. Then I tried leaving the olive oil off and melting cheese over them. Same thing, they absorb the oil from the cheese and are great. So what are some other toppings to try? Wine? Balsamic vinegar? Pancake syrup? I’m open to any suggestions.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 роки тому +1

      That knife is my bestie in the kitchen-lol. You can use any dry seasoning=ranch, Frank's red not seasoning, anything that you like. As far as liquid-I usually just use olive oil. Will have. to give this some thought. Thanks 7heRedBaron!

    Oddly enough, I was thinking about roasted potatoes last week. I wasn’t sure what type of spices to use until your video. Those looked delicious, can’t wait to give it a try at making them. I was proud of you for not crying when cutting the onion, haha. On the potatoes, how long did you let them soak in the water, and can they be any type of potato, or do they roast differently? Kind of a stupid question, but I’m a rookie, so just wondering.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 роки тому

      No such thing as a stupid question! I only soak these for a few minutes while I cut up the onion. When I do French fries I do it for several hours sometimes-I peel nd slice them and let them sit until. dinner time then dry them off and make. fries. The only potato that I haven't roasted are red potatoes but I have mad them in the regular oven and they work. out just fine.
      In regard to. spices you can use whatever kind you like. I have used Crazy cajun, my usual rosemary and thyme just anything.
      Thanks Denny!

      The only drawback with the iPhone is that I am. unable to see whats in the frame and have had to reshoot videos because so much was cut off but now I just replay vids to make sure everything is in the shot before moving on to the next shot.

    So you do your potatoes and set aside, then you do your chicken in the meantime your potatoes go cold ?, why not just do them all together in your conventional oven ?

    Oh, Lisa, I sat here watching your wonderful video and had to smile to myself, I just love the way you make any excuse to "let's do a taste test" and then a few minutes later "let's do a taste test" I lost count how many times we had "let's do a taste test", you are a lady after my own heart your enthusiasm for food and cooking and eating is absolutely fantastic and it's also catching as I find myself doing this a lot now, I like to experiment and last night I did a meal in the Ninja Foodi with sausage prawns cheese and potatoes - awesome!!! • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 роки тому +1

      When I roast them they are crunchy. on the outside and soft in the center. Maybe not browning them so much-this would ensure a soft center. Or do you mean they. are not cooked in the center?
