I am sorry for your loss. I completely understand, I lost my husband 3 years ago, and without my faith there's no way I could've continued on for my children. I'm living in our last home together, and it is wonderful to have his handiwork and landscaping as a daily reminder of all we built together. May God give you peace on those days of sorrow, and may your home continue to be the safe haven that I'm sure your husband would want for you. Be Blessed.

I grew up in a military family who traveled wherever my dad was sent. Thankfully my parents instilled in us to see each move as an opportunity for adventure.. and it was! Later I married a man in the military and instilled the same approach in my children. I'd always worried they were just putting on the brave face when a new duty station was announced but many years later when they were adults that told me each move had been exciting. They grew up traveling the world and loved it as I had. What I'm saying is.. find the opportunity for adventure in your move. You'll get to meet new people and experience a new place. Yes, the physical act of a move is a pain but you have movers who will do a large part of it! Hurrah for those movers! Take your time settling into your new home - there truly is no rush! Sudden moves that come without warning. My life as an Army wife was punctuated by them. One time we had been on a new assignment for a few months and 2 weeks before Christmas my husband said he was being reassigned to Germany and we were going too, me and our 4 young children. No Christmas? Nope. We had a very unusual Christmas celebrating the birth of our Savior with people in a foreign country, speaking a foreign language and all praising God for sending His son. It is the one Christmas I remember the clearest. Do not fear, or be anxious. God has this move in a plan that is beautiful for you. And this might turn out to be the best Spring and Summer that you will ever remember.
