I bought this lamp shade , and didn’t care for the color of the shade. Instead of returning it, I thought, hmm? What if I am paint it to match my MacKenzie Child decor that I have. 🐑🖤🐑 to my surprise it painted of nicely w it h regular latex paint. It took me about 20-30 minutes to finish it out. I taped off the stripes, and etched the stripes in gold, lightly. It totally turned out so cute. You could do this with any color to match your kitchen. I ❤the way your lampshade turned out, especially that you painted it loosely and not perfect. It looks great with the sheep! The lamp goes well on your countertop too.

You can add a 40 watt bulb and the bounce back of the glow at the bottom of cabinets will be more subtle.

I am a lamp nut. I have a lot of small lamps in my kitchen, all very different and all antique. One beautiful hand painted shade. Oh I would love for you to see this one.

You can use a gold paint marker fat tip and still get an uneven look. It’s way faster !!!!

Its cottage core or country and it is in right now. I love your home, like you I love color tried the white and minimal look and its to depressing for me. Love Mackenzie Child just could never afford her. I love the lamb light. Your home is beautiful and well done. I love the white look just not for me to live with.
