  • A video that I made to help you all get things running, this video focuses on the fuel pump and air conditioning after the swap. This is done on a '93, I'm sure there is lots of changes throughout the years on these cars, so use your judgement please.

      650 CFM Holley street demon, works very well, I highly recommend; you'll need to meter and jet it down however; it's setup very rich out of the box.

      Mine did, I honestly don't know if they all do, it's easy to look and see....

      I think the TBI engines have holes for a mechanical fuel pump, but there's no cam lobe on their camshafts to drive a mechanical pump.

    What intake are you using and where did you get it from?

      The short block is the only part of the motor that is original, it’s got 70’s heads, any pre ‘87 intake will work on mine. If you have the ‘87-‘93 heads you need to use, edelbrock performer 2104, weiand action plus 8204 (smummit 226016 is the copy of the weiland 8024), or weiand speed warrior 8017... I think.

    What type of distributor did you use on your swap?

      Just a plane old GM HEI, it fits under the cowl, you can even change the cap and rotor easy, but you need to pull the intake off to pull the distributor, not enough clearance for that unfortunately.

    How did this effect the gauges?

    • @amateurism1
      @amateurism1  4 роки тому +1

      Jofan's Garage all gauges work the same, there's one wire you need to take from the harness and run to the distributor for the tachometer. If you need more details, ask.
      Obviously, I continued to use the existing oil pressure and temp sensors in the setup to make the claim above true.

    Is the motor a Gen 1 chevy motor

      If that was a question, yes it is, they were all gen 1's or slight variants of until '93 for the GM B bodies.
