Chris Edwards fixes dozens of Amigas each year that require HOURS and HOURS of his time, parts, and knowledge. He does this mostly for free. At the most charging for shipping or getting a small donation for his efforts. Most give him NOTHING and he doesn't ask them to. He spends $16,000+ a year, roughly, based on what we've seen in his videos. So you know what? IF someone sent him a bunch of stuff for free (in this case it was NOT FREE) ... he's F'n EARNED IT . Hold and Modify HAS SPOKEN...BELIEVE IT.
My jaw dropped and heart skipped a beat when the new A3000 keyboards came out. I got to drink some water and take a nap.
Man, those keyboards! Unreal hotness.
The best commentary from a retro computer channel, your videos are always informational and quite entertaining.
Thank you for the kind words!
Very nice Chris you put and amazing amount of time and energy into our beloved Amiga's. Thank you
I just have 2 words. Holy Crap.😊
I think my heart stopped a couple times. Holy cow!!!!
Yo it was great seeing you on Bill's stream last Sunday. I really enjoyed that. Thanks again for all the great work that you do.
Nice haul Dr Chris. As we say over here in Blighty.. You Jammy Git! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
Love the custodian moniker, but Amiga Janitor has a ring to it. Wendell from Level 1 Techs refers to himself as a Digital Janitor. Made me think of that.
HAHA. Some folks think UA-cam "end game" is becoming famous. Making piles of cash. NOPE. THIS. Congrats Chris!!
I have no idea what in the hell I was looking at with most of this stuff, but I am happy that you are stoked that they have been delivered into your care. As always, keep up the Good Work.
Hi Chris, What a nice box of Amiga goodies. I like that to see. Enjoy it. Greetings from Steven from the Netherlands
I covered all my keyboards with plastic wrap and taped them on the bottom, which saved me from lots of heartache and extra unnecessary work later on.
I am very happy with my BackBit ChipTester Pro.
What, no video for the John Homes card. 🤣Wow, your loaded for bear, nice haul. OMG, new keyboards, I've only dreamt of finding new Amiga stuff in some old dusty store somewhere, it could happen. Take care and Viva la Amiga!
its on patreon coming soon
No Milky way and Toblerone looking for custodian?
10Base-T is twisted pair. Connector looks like 10Base2
BNC burned out on mine. So I plugged in an AUI for twisted pair. That works. Unlikely to get parts to fix the BNC side.
I have the external ZuluSCSI on my CDTV - works like a champ.
I need to find some people to let me be custodian of their old stuff. Currently all I see to get is old crap that my relatives don’t want and cant be bothered to eBay.
well its just my wording . i dont want to use the term hoarder. paypal credit loves me.
Never seen anyone get so excited about keyboards! :D hahaha
I get excited alot
You hit the Amiga lottery Doc🎉
so did paypal credit
Fantastic haul. I will be interested in the Cybervision 64 project, when you decide to install it. I have a Cybervision 64 card, that I would like to install in either my 3000 or 4000.
its on patreon now
Lucky guy 😂
Paypal credit thinks so too
Score!!
Dude, I am in SLC county, he should have let me be the keeper of the stash! Ha, granted I have my own collection of Amigas... I should probably send off my CSPPC to Chris to see if he can get it to run stable... neither of my A4000s like it, the memory fails. Stanchu upgraded it ages ago, and I never have been able to get it to be very stable (though I suspect a lot of that is due to AmigaOS4 not being very stable, as I am having a shit time getting my Sam460LE to not lock up randomly.)
its not a keeper of the stash, its a purchase
@ChrisEdwardsRestoration Ha, it is funny that most of it is SCSI stuff. I was looking earlier into options out there for a UW SCSI controller, since I can't seem to get the CSPPC to be very stable. But still already have 68pin hard drives and CDRW.
These keyboards made me sweat a little ❤❤❤
i dont know who else to ask because nobody seems to help me out here !!!!! does a drawbridge read dragon 32 or 64 discs ? thanks.........
Ask rob
Smith. He made drawbridge
OMG, why don't people send me boxes like that? I obviously need a UA-cam channel ;-)
well visa and mastercard and paypal credit had alot to do with that box
@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration Well, that is very similar to my experience of getting new stuff then 🙂
Promo sm 😂
Who "donates" multiple BFG's, 060's, ReA4091's, keyboards? Its really strange. Cool, but strange like someone who is wealthy who wants 15 seconds of fame or something. I am sure you will put them to good use and congratulations on winning the lottery.
who said donates. it was a purchase. did you read what started as a purchase of a video card spiraled out of control? nope
Many, including myself interpreted what you said to mean you purchased the video card and everything else was donated. Who buys something and then describes themselves as being the “custodian” instead of the owner. Plus your over exaggerated gushing sure presented yourself as being the recipient of a large donation of Amiga stash.
I said im the custodian of my 3000 tower for several years. But it was purchased. Sorry you feel angry
