I'd still prefer an older R6 or R1. Something between 1998-2007 (Motorcycles 100% made in JPN and built like tanks without all that electronic BS). But I can see why this will sell well. It's a faired motorcycle with a very good amount of torque which is perfect for city riding. But not a crazy amount of high end power that'll throw you off when pushing it. I saw somewhere that the riding position is more akin to a sport tourer so it'll be more comfortable too. One of these might be my bike when I'm like 40 or 50 yrs old for sure... Your break down of the R9 is the best on UA-cam. The triple will sound interesting. I used to have a Street Triple with tuned SCProject and it was insane. Lol
The R9 will be a better bike than the R6 on the street all day every day. It gives up a couple HP up top in the last 5% of the rev range, but it dominates the R6 in the other 95% of the rev range. The cp3 has a wide radiator. They made those winglets to help the fairings fit around that rad without looking too weird or changing the model of radiator.
@@MyToxicMasculinity that’s actually pretty smart, no? Instead of having to change something unnecessary, they were able to do something cool with the looks, and add something that’s actually functional for track riding
@@Maddox9171 Because it doesn’t make sense. You can tell by the photos that the radiator sits back far enough where the winglets have no correlation to it. The dude is just making shit up. the R9 is the bike I dreamed of, that thing has literally everything I wanted except full Öhlins, but we got stylema, data recording, apparently we can use maps/navi as well and it has CC. So for me its the perfect replacement for my 2022 mt-09 I'm mostly a street/canyon rider with a few trackdays, so I cant complain about the R9...until I either test sit or ridden one.
Im soooo excited to pickup my R9. Cannot WAIT to compare it to my 24 ZX6R. I think Yamaha gave us exactly what we wanted...people just dont want what they ask for, once they are given it. I rode an MT-09 and man that tq is crazy fun. Makes you respect it a bit different than a 600cc bike. A lot of silly excuses/opinions will be changed once this bike is out in the wild! ;)
My dream bike has always been the XSR 900 GP which is an mt09 in classic sport bike fairing. Hopefully they'll keep that bike going and make a new one on this spec so if I ever have the spare income to go motorcycling again I can swing a leg over one!
Could not agree more. In 2000 the average power of the 600cc bikes was 95 hp to 100 hp and about 45 ft-lb. The 2006 R6 made around 108 hp. In 2012 the GSX-R600 was making about 109 hp and 47 ft-lb. In 2015 the ZX6 was making about 114 hp with 47 ft-lb. The idea that a 390 lb bike with about 115 hp lacks power, is nonsense. These are recently dyno measured figures. GSX-R600 (stock) 110.6 hp 46.8 ft-lb CBR600RR (stock) 118.3 hp 47.2 ft-lb YZF R-6 (stock) 116.8 hp 45.5 ft-lb ZX6R 636cc (flashed piped, filter, tuned, at higher redline RPM) 122.08 hp 48.88 ft-lb GSX-R750 (stock) 126.6 hp 55.52 ft-lb None of these bikes are slow or lack excitement. MT09's stock measured power is close to a GSX-R600. MT09 2024 model (stock) 108 hp 65 ft-lb Despite the R9 engine being the exact same CP3 as in the MT09 with taller gearing, what people haven't realized is that the R9 has a supersport RAM-AIR induction system in the headlight recess. This means it will have an entirely different fuel:air map and ignition mapping, which will make more power and torque than a stock MT09 CP3, because it will flow a lot more air and fuel through the same 890cc at a higher than one-atmosphere intake pressure. MTO9 currently has about the same horse power as a Suzuki 600. The R9 will have stronger power as its speed increases and its induction mapping kicks in. A flash-tune and pipe will unlock even more hp. As for the torque, the MTO9 absolutely slays the measured torque of a stock GSX-R750. 55.52 ft-lb verses 65 ft-lb. That's about 16% more grunt everywhere in the rev range. The R9 will have even more torque than that, as speed rises, due to ram-air induction mapping. It may exceed 70 ft-lb at higher speed. What is for sure, the stock R9 will be able to out accelerate almost any stock 600cc supersport. So I don't think there is any lack of get up and go with this bike, it will indeed become "a beast". I predict you'll demo ride it and immediately want to buy one, because it will kick the stuffing out of an R6.
As an Zx6r owner, the r9 is not a bad bike whatsoever. It offers something different that should please many. The zx6r or the gsxr600 are very sharp tools and offer a certain experience that is much more narrow in scope.
Spot on. Premium suspension, brakes and electronics, and torque up the ass. Smoking price as well. I’m in the books for the first black one here…let the internet hate, it’ll come sooner! I was about to grab a GSXR 750, but this will be worth waiting the winter for.

Brude, I definitely agree with U about the R9. I took my bike today to the dealership to get serviced & Yamaha Corp was there doing demo rides with their bike lineup. I tested the MT09 SP & that thing was spicy 🔥 They also had the R9 on display at the dealership floor & let me tell U, at least to me it was very striking to look at in person in a good way. Back in 2019 I got a job at a parts store and I met a guy who rode his bike into work. He would park it outside in front of the store and I would have to see it every day as I walked into the building to start my day. This was before I ever got into motorcycles so, I never really thought much about it. It looked cool, but not enough to spark my interest. As I got to know him, he’d say “Hey, man soo when are you gonna get a bike!!” he’d ask sarcastically, while giving me a little smirk. I’d always say “Nahh man, you know.. bikes just aren’t for me. Im into cars.” and he’d laugh and just walk away. But every time he started it up to leave.. I just couldn’t get over the sound of the freaking engine. It was like music to my ears! I later found out it was an XSR900. For the next 2 years he’d ask me that same question every single day. And every single day I’d heard him as he blew past us, redlining leaving for work. Until one day, I finally gave in and said.. “Ok! I’ll give this motorcycling thing a shot. Sheesh, how good could this actually be!” I was going through a breakup at the time fun fact. I signed up for the MSF course and spent the next few days learning about how to operate a motorcycle safely. A year later I bought my first used bike on craigslist. And on that very first ride on my way back home, I realized I had just made one of best decisions of my life. And in a way, it started with the MT09 platform all those years ago. Cant wait to see what Yamaha has in store for us. Excited to ride the R9 👌🏽
I think most of the people complaining about the R9 would never buy a brand new bike from a dealership anyway so their complaints aren’t valid. You can request a bike all you want but nothing speaks to a manufacturer like your hard earned money. Personally, I was sold on this bike almost immediately when the press release dropped. The R9 is gonna be an absolute banger 🔥
Thank you sir. I have not lusted for a bike like I am this one since the r6 first came out in 99. Lol. From now on instead of arguing with people about all the same points you just made I'm going to link your video to them. You didn't miss a single thing that ive been arguing. It blows my mind wondering why people thought the r9 was supposed to be better than we think it is. Everyone knew it was going to be the cp3 but can't wrap their heads around why it's not got 150 hp. People are weird and you hut the nail on the head with every point you made.
For me, the design alone sells it. I know it's not as great as the R6, but its styling is unique. It does look like what you really want to have in a sport bike. Plus, inline 3. One of the best sounding bike engines ever. I really wish someday I could ride one.
2 wheel dynworks got their CP3 tune to 119 hp with an exhaust and tune. Its pushing very similar numbers to the R6, with almost double the torque and earlier in the rev range.
quickshifter/autoblipper, R1 electronics, Stylema Brakes and LAUNCH CONTROL....and it has the option to send custom text on the dash during tracks all of this for that price
I have a mt 09 sp and love it so I'm kinda excited about the R9 it's been years since I had a bike last one I had was 06 R1 I miss that bike but life takes over. The mt 09 is basically a computer on two wheels
nothing will replace the r6. There wont be a 17k redlining bike coming to street line anymore by Yamaha. Its one of a kind. I love to wring my r6 neck every single day. Putting on 15k miles a year on mine and I am enjoying every second of it
Quality analysis. I actually like it. It seems super practical and will likely be a bunch of fun to ride. Pricing is great. What’s is there not to love? If you want a pure traditional 600, get the new Honda 600RR or the Kawi 636. This will be a great bike night, speedy cruiser, and occasional track day bike I bet
Seeing the R9 in person I really like all the features and controls/ riding position. I also rode the MT-09 SP at a demo day and loved it. I can’t say anything bad about the engine or chassis. Not a big fan of the R9 looks. To me it just looks flat but to each their own.
I have a older 2018 mto9 that I love it's been a great bike other than the suspension being way to soft for jumping curbs every day the motor is awesome it will serve up a wheelie on demand even after 50k miles on it after buying a new set of stiffer springs and a new rear shock it's been a great bike
W take!!! I'm saying this is going to be dope. I want to get one. If I get it you can ride it - I live in Tacoma and have ran into you a couple of times and said hey.
I bet nobody on an R9 is going to get ”smoked” by an R6.. The CP3 is truly a monster of a 900cc 3cyl.. At least the ones sold here in Europe.. Put an open exhaust on it and you can really feel it pulling noticeably harder
I was able see the R9 this past Saturday down in San Diego at a Yamaha demo event. The rep said it was 1 of only 2 currently I believe in the US. He was explaining some of the differences between the MT09 and R9 did mention the new gearing and estimated top speed about 160 but couldn't really say. From the reaction of the people and the price that it has I am sure they will be selling out very quickly. How they do in the racing circuits we'll have to wait and see but my guess is that it will be a hard-to-get bike.
I agree with what you said and very well said too. I like how the R9 turned out. Even though the winglets I can live without. At this point it will be between it and the RC990. I have a great KTM dealer. So if the Yamaha dealers charges a markup like the last time I went with KTM, I'll go with KTM again. No markups. I do not tolerate markups. lol.
The R9 is a great design. I'm trying to convince my boy to get one next year. If you compare to a liter bike you'll be disappointed but when compared with a 600 which is the price point of the r9, it's a winner.
As an RS 660 rider, I feel like the R9 is a significant power upgrade. And the real thing to think about in terms of power isn't peak HP, it's 'power under the curve.' The R9 should have a MUCH wider power band.
I think we should wait to see what the numbers are after a full exhaust, air filter, velocity stack and tune before anyone complains. It may push a good amount of power
I think the people hating on it just dont really understand how widely enveloping motorcycling is. I currently have the GSX-8R, and while I love it, it is slightly underpowered. That said, i have no desire for a liter bike, but got to ride an MT-09 and fell in love with what it offers, and i will get an MT-09 next lol but some people prefer fairings and such so the R9 would be the go-to. To me, there's no right or wrong with a specific bike, its just either for you, or for someone else
Had a ‘23 MT-09 and once I had full bolts ons, intake mod, and an ECU flash, it was an entirely different bike. I felt a larger difference in the tune on my MT-09 than my MT-10! It’s a crazy engine
Yeah the MT09 is a blast, the 9ne i got to ride was a 2019, soni can only imagine the refinements made to them since then are g9nna make it even better@PrestoninParadisus
the R9 looks insane literally the best looking bike they killed it ..anyone that says theirs something wrong with the engine go ride a cp3 & find out how good that engine is ...
I’m extremely perplexed how the R6 was discontinued due to emissions / low demand but the recently released CBR600 which is EXACTLY THE SAME BIKE is alive and well and is sold out everywhere in my country.
The Bike fits for what I wanted for my second bike. The MT-07 is my first bike and I love it in city but highway and more squid stuff I want more power. The R9 is what I want and will see if it does good once people gets there hands on it.
I have an r7 now, I do really like the r9, all the electronics, brembos, and 3 cyl power sounds perfect and not much more than the 7 for what you get. I heard something about a bmw s750rr triple though and Im waiting for that to come out and what not before making my decision. I think the r9 is going to be perfect street bike, and I mean street literally, as well as a great track bike, and meet a lot of riders needs. Will see in a year or 2 what I end up with but I like the where the market is going at least.
I'm going from a ninja 400 I've been riding and intend to keep for almost 3 years. The only bike I'm looking forward to is the R9. I want more but low end that I know. I'm fucking excited about this! I believe Yamaha just made the best bike for a street rider.
I'd like to defend the R7 because it is what a lot of people would call a "starter bike" and it doesn't start quite as low as an R3. I don't own one myself, but I have a friend who has let me ride his. It has enough torque to make up for being in the wrong gear, and if you slap an M4 exhaust on it, I can tell you it sounds sick. That being said, it is not the R6 in any way. Separately, I'm looking forward to the R9 based on my experience on a speed triple and knowing the reputation of the MT09. I don't think we can complain for the price and tech. And I still refuse to accept that the R6 is completely gone. Give it 10 years, bike manufactures will realize the 600series was really the backbone of the bike industry.
Love Triumphs, but won’t buy because they’re proprietary for servicing & your marriage to them on almost everything 😢 Japanese is open market on everything you want 💯%
@@ChrisSauer-oe5ve I've never had any issues, I had a Street Triple previously. Parts can be out of stock occasionally but that's true for any Euro bike.
The r9 debate is so insane to me... people fuckin LOVE their Mt09s its like the end all street bike for most people... i cant wait for the r9 and am happy to upgrade to a sportbike without being restricted to something like a gsx750 or a liter bike
The best part of the r9 is going to be the CP3 engine which is tried and tested... I'm super nervous about all the other new electronics as this is a first gen (i have a preorder 😬)
Truthfully I think the only thing that I don’t like is the body styling. I love my r7 and how it looks but the r9 just has small changes that irk me in a way I can’t describe. But I love everything else the bike will equate to. It’s not the shell but the heart underneath that makes every bike truly special. And so with a trusted platform like the cp3, it’s gonna be a beast at everything it was meant to be
People need to get over r6 now, it’s not happening. Would love to own one definitely. R7 is a great bike as a beginner to enter R series if you skip r3. R9 is closest you will get for R6 with euro thingy. At the end of the day they all will sell in great numbers. Just got myself new R3(waiting delivery) guess whats next >>r9 ❤.
I remember chatting with ya at Tukwila about how I'm not sure what bike I wanted, but this R9 fits the bill!! Picking mine up in March! Would love to see you do a comparison video between this and the R6! If you don't pick one up I'd be happy to have you check it out!
How is nobody mentioning the GSXR 750? That is the real comparison here. More HP, a lot more torque, lighter, and though it's retail may be higher I will lay odds I can get one for cheaper(significantly) than any R9 for a solid year and beyond cause they are always priced to move. Someone will say "electronics" and to that I say "meh". This bike could have and therefore should have beat gsxr 750 numbers imo. I'm shopping next spring and I think the GSXR will be getting my $. The R9 makes me sad, I hoped for better.
Yeah I scrolled down ur the first one to mention the 750… I had a gsxr750, that’s the bike id like to see compared to r9. I bet r9 has torque sooner in rev range + electronics but does that make up for being down 30-40hp?
If you know your supersports or super-bikes then you will want a 4 cylinder like the R1, S1000RR, ZX-10R, GSXR-1000 or a V4. This is a cost saving effect using the 3 cylinder engine from the MT-09/XSR900. I’m glad Yamaha is still manufacturing them even though it doesn’t have the DNA of an R6 or R1. RIP R6…
The problem for us older dudes is that when in our day's you say 9, it ment a fuxcing strong and ridiculously fast bike. 6 was 6, 7 was 7, and 9 was 9....now 9 is 6😂
When you really think about it we've hit a plateau on motorcycles. They're not going much faster than they did 10 years ago and the suspension and tire technology is really the only thing carrying them much further forward. Other companies like BMW will continue to offer a very competitive 1000cc bike. I understand Yamaha fans will be upset but the company understands what kind of bikes people should be riding on the streets and the R9 is exactly that motorcycle. I don't think high performance bikes will stop being available to the public though.
I think the white and yellow color way is dope and the features yof u get are great. Brembo calipers and braided lines upfront and cruise control and ton of torque. I think it should’ve came with a little more power and higher rev range . Price is right there with all super sports .
I agree that the hate is unwarranted. Whilst I was hoping that Yamaha would tune the HP up, it's fine as it is. I am somewhat disappointed in the styling. I'd seen renderings floating around on the internet that looked really good. I guess it influenced my expectation.
People constantly associating the R9 with R1, or saying it's replacing or competing with a superbike class, or saying it's replacing or competing with the supersport class...... Get your noggin' out of the comparisons and look at this machine in isolation for a second. No one is taking your Xbox away from you, no one is stealing your dog, no one is evicting you from your apartment. Get over it.
It's priced very well in the US. In Aus, it costs more than $23k AUD, about $15.5k USD, and it's $2.5k AUD more than the Striple RS, which is a bit ridiculous.
i love my r6 track bikes, but theyre an 05 and 06, really hoping this r9 "fels small" because i could sell my 2 r6 and get an r9. the electronics on the r9 are crazy for the price and the low end torque should be crazy out of corners. hoping to see a demo at an STT track day next season

Just because something is discontinued and another product pops up, doesn’t mean it’s a replacement. Businesses don’t work that way. Kawasaki is a perfect example of this with their large stable of available bikes.
Wish the sold the GP in the states, that thing is SICK
@@victyper301 I have the '22 XSR900, and I recently rode it on the track at Barber. I was thinking of getting it reflashed but after its TC light went on and stayed on until 90 mph out of Turn 4, I'm thinking I'll leave it alone. Curiously, I saw a GSXR750 and a TLR1000R high side in front of me on T4; you ride without TC at your own risk.
Your break down of the R9 is the best on UA-cam. The triple will sound interesting. I used to have a Street Triple with tuned SCProject and it was insane. Lol
After staring at the bike for some hours, I swear this bike looks incredible
The headlight is truly hideous but the rest is quite nice. I wonder if the all-black version hides the headlight "styling"
The R9 will be a better bike than the R6 on the street all day every day. It gives up a couple HP up top in the last 5% of the rev range, but it dominates the R6 in the other 95% of the rev range. Unless you are running in advanced on a track day or racing and chasing a podium, the R9 will be the better bike.
Why not just get a mt09 for the street?
@@wayneaustin4886 Oh, I like naked bikes... MT-10, Monsters, super dukes, street and speed triples... owned them all. On a Ducati Streetfighter V2 at the moment... But the MT09 is a great bike, but giving it a fairing for aero, serious electronics, a true supersport chassis, better brakes and suspension... It's gonna be awesome for sure.
@@wayneaustin4886because not everyone wants a naked bike? 😂 acting as if a bike has fairings it has no choice but to be thought of as a track bike when Yamaha made it. Relax
@@wayneaustin4886 Its honestly just preference. I love the look of the R9 more than the ugly ass head light of the mt09.
whos to say the r9 cant be used to " running in advanced on a track day or racing and chasing a podium" ???
I think they'll be everywhere at the track. You always see a few old Daytona's out there, and let's be honest, we can't all be buying second hand bikes forever.
As an owner of a 24’ MT-09sp for me I’ve always loved & enjoyed the i3 for great torque & light weight. 💪
At 60 I’m not a hooligan anymore lol but still enjoy cracking that throttle when needed & filtering through traffic 😎🇵🇭
I don't think anyone has EVEN mentioned one thing it includes "cruise control" guys like really come on it is going to be a sweet bike. Cruise control bruh
Im with you on this i really want one
I have an 24 mt09 and love it, I’m sure the r9 will be awesome as well. It’s got everything you need for the canyons.
The cp3 has a wide radiator. They made those winglets to help the fairings fit around that rad without looking too weird or changing the model of radiator.
That is dumb af.
@@MyToxicMasculinity that’s actually pretty smart, no? Instead of having to change something unnecessary, they were able to do something cool with the looks, and add something that’s actually functional for track riding
@@swarzn8r
His comment is dumb.
Oh that makes so much sense, I didn’t even think about that 🤦♂️
@@Maddox9171
Because it doesn’t make sense. You can tell by the photos that the radiator sits back far enough where the winglets have no correlation to it. The dude is just making shit up. Saying they added winglets because the radiator is so big is just dumb. The R1 has a massive radiator and an oil cooler and they didn’t have to cover them up with winglets. They did winglets because winglets are “all the rage” nowadays.
The new R9 is the bike most riders should have but don't know it yet.
the R9 is the bike I dreamed of, that thing has literally everything I wanted except full Öhlins, but we got stylema, data recording, apparently we can use maps/navi as well and it has CC. So for me its the perfect replacement for my 2022 mt-09
I'm mostly a street/canyon rider with a few trackdays, so I cant complain about the R9...until I either test sit or ridden one.
I'm sure they will come out with the sp version shortly after release so then you'll get you full ohlins suspension.

Lucky you!! Guessing you are from american market? Still waiting for it to be announced in the asian market and get it as my 2nd 😄
Im holding, maybe they'll announce an R9 sp
Im soooo excited to pickup my R9. Cannot WAIT to compare it to my 24 ZX6R. I think Yamaha gave us exactly what we wanted...people just dont want what they ask for, once they are given it. I rode an MT-09 and man that tq is crazy fun. Makes you respect it a bit different than a 600cc bike. A lot of silly excuses/opinions will be changed once this bike is out in the wild! ;)
This was a very educational video. Would be dope to get more like this.
It’s a bike you have to see in person to love. I’ve demo the MT09sp twice (23 and 24) and I just want to ride it to the max.
GSX-R600 (stock)
110.6 hp
46.8 ft-lb
CBR600RR (stock)
118.3 hp
47.2 ft-lb
YZF R-6 (stock)
116.8 hp
45.5 ft-lb
ZX6R 636cc (flashed piped, filter, tuned, at higher redline RPM)
122.08 hp
48.88 ft-lb
GSX-R750 (stock)
126.6 hp
55.52 ft-lb
None of these bikes are slow or lack excitement. MT09's stock measured power is close to a GSX-R600.
MT09 2024 model (stock)
108 hp
65 ft-lb
Despite the R9 engine being the exact same CP3 as in the MT09 with taller gearing, what people haven't realized is that the R9 has a supersport RAM-AIR induction system in the headlight recess.
As an Mt 09 track day rider, I am over the moon for the R9.
Spot on. Premium suspension, brakes and electronics, and torque up the ass. Smoking price as well. I’m in the books for the first black one here…let the internet hate, it’ll come sooner! I was about to grab a GSXR 750, but this will be worth waiting the winter for.
Congratulations!🎉
Hope you enjoy it!!

Or you might just get a surprise. And end up hurting or dead.
Torque on this bike is gonna be awesome
Brude, I definitely agree with U about the R9. I took my bike today to the dealership to get serviced & Yamaha Corp was there doing demo rides with their bike lineup. I tested the MT09 SP & that thing was spicy 🔥 They also had the R9 on display at the dealership floor & let me tell U, at least to me it was very striking to look at in person in a good way. If that bike has the MT09 power plant with Supersport ergonomics, it is sure definitely bound to hurt some feelings & win titles on the track. Gotta say I LOVE ur content & Ur raw honesty whether people like it or not. 😁👍
The bike literally looks so good. The hate on it is whack. This will be my first sports bike too.
Finally a new bike that i’d love to buy to replace my recent bike! Combines top notch technology , enough power for me and price ! 👏👏👏

Yep! 👍
R9 is a great bike 👌
Do I sense sarcasm?
Yamaha is the only metric manufacturer producing exceptional motorcycles we can all afford.
I absolutely love Yamaha
I’ve ridden them for years
For me, the design alone sells it.
I like the R9. I could definitely see myself getting one in the future
I have a mt 09 sp and love it so I'm kinda excited about the R9 it's been years since I had a bike last one I had was 06 R1 I miss that bike but life takes over. The mt 09 is basically a computer on two wheels
I’m super excited for the R9 but what I really want to see is the XSR 900 GP make its way to America. That bike looks amazing!
This bike is gonna have a big "fun to ride" aspect, 93nm / 119hp power is both practical for streets & race track usage
nothing will replace the r6. There wont be a 17k redlining bike coming to street line anymore by Yamaha. Its one of a kind. I love to wring my r6 neck every single day. Putting on 15k miles a year on mine and I am enjoying every second of it
The CP3 engine is a beast!! This R9 is going to be a best seller. All you need for the streets
The R9 and the XSR900 GP are two interesting new releases IMO…. even if they are essentially the same bike.
The R9 is everything I hoped it would be
Quality analysis.
I don’t really think it was designed for curb jumping 😳😅😂
W take!!! I'm saying this is going to be dope. I want to get one. If I get it you can ride it - I live in Tacoma and have ran into you a couple of times and said hey.
Keep it up slick! Good job on the video!
R6 and r1 are uncomfortable af to ride on the street. I’m glad they made something that you can use it kind of like a r7 with more power.
My go to guy for an opinion on the R9 over anything, thank you sir🫡
Will be the best-selling Yamaha in the Supersport family. Even in countries where the R1 is still road-legal.
Love the sound of the triple. Wish it revved higher like the old 675Rs though.
No markups. I do not tolerate markups. lol.
I agree with that
The R9 is a great design.
Mt 09 was a beastly Hooligan bike I loved it
I think the people hating on it just dont really understand how widely enveloping motorcycling is.

I think maybe a track or updated r9 sp edition would be something that might make them happy
They will have a GYTR version

I like it for the electronics features and the MSRP so Im buying it for sure. Also my first bike is Z9 and my second would be R9😊

Just dropped a deposit on one. I’m super excited
Truthfully I think the only thing that I don’t like is the body styling. I love my r7 and how it looks but the r9 just has small changes that irk me in a way I can’t describe. But I love everything else the bike will equate to. It’s not the shell but the heart underneath that makes every bike truly special. And so with a trusted platform like the cp3, it’s gonna be a beast at everything it was meant to be
Spot on!

R9 is closest you will get for R6 with euro thingy.
At the end of the day they all will sell in great numbers.

Anyone who wouldn’t prefer the r9 over the r6 is insane. Significantly more torque and about the same hp, no brainer

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
@@CompoundPGSXR has max 127.9hp at 12,600rpm.
Don’t know where you are getting 30-40 more HP even with a tune wouldn’t be that big of a difference.
6 was 6, 7 was 7, and 9 was 9....now 9 is 6😂
😂
XSR900 GP bring it to the US now!!!
Amen brother!
THIS!! Hopefully the XSR900 GP makes it here
When you really think about it we've hit a plateau on motorcycles.
I would love to hear the discussion between the r9 and mt09 sp since they’re priced so closely
I bought the 2024 Yamaha mt09 and its the best bike I have ever owned, so if your a supersport fan the r9 cant be wrong.
Hated?? Who are you talking to. You've got no clue dude. It's the most anticipated bike of this decade, arguably.
Alot of people do shit on this bike and haven't even rode it yet. He is right...but I love this bike and I'm GETTING ONE LOL. I can't wait either.
Blame your government for the prices, I bet it’s mostly taxes 😅
Currently on mt07 was going to get a r1 but now looking forward to riding a r9
I had a 22 MT07 as my 1st bike. Sold it, and went with the 23 Z900. I know the MT09 has better electronics, but I hate the look of the MT09.
They actually said it is the number 1 in aero they have built
i love my r6 track bikes, but theyre an 05 and 06, really hoping this r9 "fels small" because i could sell my 2 r6 and get an r9. the electronics on the r9 are crazy for the price and the low end torque should be crazy out of corners. hoping to see a demo at an STT track day next season
