Interesting content! Keep it up!
Thanks!
I wish Chicago would start building some more supertall skyscrapers. We're falling behind!
Good stuff! Chicago has so many un-built projects that would have made such an impact to the skyline.
Imagine all of those 5 skyscrapers were built! That would be insane!!
I remember watching the Sears Tower under construction, while staring out the windows of Regenstein Library at U of C. This was about 52 years ago, in an earlier millennium. In college days I spent my winters in Chicago and my summers in Washington DC (hometown). Talk about stupid! Aaaanyway, thanx for all the updated info about Chi-town.
Can I bring back the The Illinois when I'm the architect ?
That would be really cool, it might be possible with today's tech!
That Miglin-Beitler Skyneedle proposal is GORGEOUS.
If _The Illinois_ had been built, it would have been much cooler on its top floor.
Chicago's skyline is so organic and well placed, compared to the New York City skyline. Had all these supertall buildings been constructed, Chicago would hands down have the tallest and best skyline in North America.
I was worken at the 42nd ward!! When the Spire tried going up!
Thank you for calling it the Sears Tower. No one calls it whatever it's called now.
A while back, I read that Mr. Wrigley (the chewing gum guy) wanted to build one that would rival the Empire State Building. I think this was in the 1940s or 50s, of course.
The Illinois looks kind of like Jeddah Tower!! Wouldn't be surprised if they (the saudis) ripped off the design from it
The guys on number 3 is high
Wait this isn't Geoguessr.
Just imagine if Chicago built all those towers you could compare Chicago to New York Chicago would win easily as number 1 for skyscrapers.
No fair!!!!!!!!!! 😞😣😢😭😥😩😫😠😡😤👎💔 Especially with the cancelled Skyneedle Tower, the cancelled Old Post Office Twin Towers, & the cancelled 7 South Dearborn Tower. The 7 South Dearborn Tower would have been a mini Burj Khalifa.
Yes those new new Yorkers are making fun of us for not having more taller buildings and not having a more expensive metro system and not having high speed trains
OK note to self " Never plan a skyscraper taller than the Willis tower in DT Chicago.".
Willis Tower?? Nah that’s still the Sears Tower to anyone in Chicago and the Chicagoland area

Certainly a shame about 1, 2,4 &5
One Mile is too long
He's lying bc Costa Vista is starting.
Well we know where they got the idea for the Burj Khalifa they stole it from the Illinois there's no doubt
4:30 Millions spent to move into a far less impressive, ugly building. Dumb-de-dumb-dumbbb
