teams always looked to survive against him and attack other bowlers, thats probably d reason waqar and saqlain have higher wickets per match ratio than akram. If dey played him like other bowlers then he would have atleast 100 more wickets in ODIs.

@Billa Shahzad I know one in the 2003 wc waseem akram bowl around 138-142kph even his fastest bowl 144.6 kph so how hen he bowl at these tiny sppeed even same ok n this series shoiab speed s hi ow only around 137-139 kph how .
Bowling is all about skills, that's why even Sohaib Akhtar has been thrashed sometimes but bowlers like Akram, McGrath, Anderson (test) rearly beaten.

Actually at 140+ ball doesn't swing much.Dale Steyn was an exception though.With the reduction in speed Wasim bhai became more lethal.

Wasim controlled explosive batsman like Nathan astle like anything.. In 2001,his age was around 35-36 but still his control, perfect line length..Normally fast bowlers peak is between 18-19 age till 29-30..Normally for fast bowlers it is observed for 10 years they are effective and at their peak but wasim till 37 was in great form after completing 17-18 years of international cricket…bowling around 130 but still not allowing them to open bat..medium pacers must learn regarding line length..Vow ..legend..Love from India

Everytime I think of wasim akram only one thing come to my mind a "great bowler". No one can say anything without this two magical word when praising this meticulous artist of the game of cricket. What he can do with the ball its just amazing. The only God gifted player in world cricket. A true legend who fascinated this game to a higher extent.
