(Today , speed gun only measure speed at bowler's end , not at Batsman's end. i-e; 145kph of 1992 would be 150kph of 2020) During recently concluded Ind v Aus T20I series , Broadcasters (with latest Speed Gun) showed that a ball bowled at 150kph reached Batsman around 85kph. So, we can't compare Wasim / Waqar speeds with today's bowlers because of Advancement in Radar Technology & Change of Rules for measuring Speed of bowlers.
I had met Wasim Akram when he had come to Bangalore to inagurate a commercial building. I spoke to him and he was a very humble man and spoke with everyone with a smile on his face. I appreciate his genuinity. Truly a gentleman of the game

Wasim was the complete package but the one thing that made him deadly was the fact that, he was a thinker. This is an aspect never mentioned. For him, every delivery was part of a larger plan. Every delivery to every batsman was part of getting them setup to fall. Amazing. To say he is the best left arm fast bowler is doing injustice. He would find a spot in every top 10 bowler list of all time. One other thing about him which I find shocking. In his later years, he actually became a pretty darn accomplished batsman. Shocking.
