Thanks Mr Paice for your time and the fantastic quotes… and thanks everybody for all the great flattering compliments… that's my job but rock is mainly my biggest passion since my kid-days… of course been in front of such a huge living legend like Ian made the job easier, he is a total pro with a big big heart! Oh, I'm a drummer as well so imagine how the privilege was precious for me! :-) Some interviews simply happen to turn out magic and this is certainly one of em!
jimmy sonhil Hi, thanks for you message and compliments, at the end he simply grabbed "Made in Japan", it was his choice for signing, then we asked him to sign our pick, "Made in Europe". :-) Glad you enjoyed! Keep on rocking Jimmy!
LINEAROCK, thank's , so ,so much for upload!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IAN PAICE is a nice person, magnificent musician and drummer, living legend , and yet , so humble and down to earth.......... Many, many GREETINGS, to IAN PAICE , and to linearock, from Mica........
What a fabulous interview. Kudos to the interviewer for asking thoughtful questions, and then allowing Ian to respond in kind. I have always thought Ian Paice to be the most down to earth and humble member of Deep Purple, and this interview confirms this.
I met little Ian 3times and he was the nicest most gracious and down to earth person I ever met. best drummer I have ever seen. It was a complete honor to meet him for sure.
Ian Paice was a huge influence on me. He was incredibly inventive and way ahead of his time considering there were no video lessons or you tube etc to learn from like there is today. It is great to see someone who has been so successful, be so humble and who genuinely still loves to play. Go Ian!
Truly one of the top 5 drummers in rock history, just check out live in Copenhagen 1972... that solo is on par with Buddy Rich... definately one of the most motivated hard working drummers ever...
Erano ragazzi meravigliosi!!!
What an articulate and interesting gent, thoroughly enjoyed this interview, and the hostess approached it seemingly from the perspective of an enthusiastic and knowledgable fan. Wonderful!
Absolutely magnificent interview! Saw them in Orlando on Saturday, my 3rd DP concert! Mr. Paice, a brilliant drummer, and a class act, enjoyed every second of this interview.
The lady interviewing did a great job in asking thoughtful questions and letting Ian speak his mind, without unnecessarily interrupting him, as many 'so called' interviewers do. It's always great listening to Ian Paice, one of the greatest drummers to ever hit a pigskin.
Fantastic Interview and congratulations to Deep Purple for "Now What !?" their best album since Purpendicular in my opinion. And yes.. I quite like Abandon, Bananas and Rapture of the Deep :)
I don't think I've enjoyed an interview quite so much as this. Paice is a very humble, positive, and articulate guy. I learned a lot about music. creativity, and the business side of creativity from this interview. Thanks for posting it.
ı saw him recently and could not believe the "High stand of performance" he displays.. he played like a youngster at the top of his game... I was saying "God bless you brother!"
An absolutely amazing drummer and such a gentleman at the same time! This year, when I saw Deep Purple live, he did an extraordinary drum solo! What a night that was! Probably people do not talk very often about him, because he didn't smash things up like Keith Moon or because he wasn't a heavy drinker like John Bonham was.
What a pro! Sorry #ianpaice, you have always been one of the great players, because of the enthusiasm you keep, your natural musicianship, and your desire to be the best YOU can be at any given moment. You will always be my favourite drummer/musician, for these reasons.
Great bloke, and an underrated drummer. He's never mentioned when everyone's going on about Neil, Cozy, Vinnie, etc. but he's superb and deserves more recognition.

But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.[29] And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.[30] And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.[31] So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.[32] Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
[33] Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?[34] And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.[35] So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
