  • How to lay out/rough in and bedroom. I forgot to mention receptacle heights. We put them at 13” to the bottom, 15” to the center. There isn’t a code requirement on receptacle heights. I will go into this in more detail on the next room.

Just wondering if you ran the wires up and over the window and over rather than through at the roof hip bearing as well due to a dull drill bit or are they enforcing some kind of code kink down there. Also wondered on your last one if they let yall leave your staples loose at the boxes there or was that staple filmed "mid install". Thanks for the vids. Im a licensed master plumber with a full mechanical license here in Tennessee and am scheduled to tale my electrical exam next month. These vids help a lot.

I leave a little slack in between the staple and the wire. The staple is for a guide and some support. If the staple is tight against the wire the you will have a nuisance tripping arc fault breaker. The breaker will think the wire is pinched and will not work. Then you will have problems and the sheetrock will already be up. As far as the Romex being under or over a window, it really depends on whether or not there is a receptacle we have to get to. I have a 18” auger bit so I’m able to drill through all the studs! I always go back and put nail plates on where they are required.
