- Lore video for the Lorde system. A Machine cult robot unit has lost its programmer and they are continuing their last orders. The human defense force has to deal with them and decides to send the penal legion up to the top of hill 783.

I loved the intro story to the game. A fun idea, so fun that to be honest I would have liked to have actually seen it play out as a battle report with rolling dice etc.
I love the narrative approach! It feels more real.
I just wanted to say thank you SO much for these videos. I'm so glad I stumbled across this channel, I've been looking forever for OPR content on UA-cam and I only see one or two paid sponsorships from the usual Warhammer channels, not full on OPR aimed content such as this. It's also REALLY cool that you do your battle reports in narrative format. This is exactly what the hobby needs! I'm still in the printing and painting phase and haven't actually played a game yet, but I'm excited to get on with it and roll some dice! The only question is... do I make a Fantasy Mummified Undead or Dwarf army first, or go Grimdark with Dwarf Guilds or Human Defense Force!
Thanks for stopping by! When I first got into OPR the system looked perfect to tell stories. After looking around everyone was talking about being "competitive" and finding the best combos for stuff. So I decided to do it myself and having a great time doing it :)
As far as armies my answer is which army is your headcanon best for?
@@WarbossFitz Yeah I'm like you, I enjoy the stories and crazy stuff that happens at the table. Currently we're REALLY enjoying Cyberpunk: Combat Zone, me with my Maelstrom gang and her with her Tyger Claws. She's still kicking my ass but last game she only survived by one hit lol. Things will likely change next time because Maelstrom seems to have more Gonk (minion) abilities and I didn't have models for them until recently.
As for OPR...IDK man, I'm probably an Urist at heart as I play a redheaded Dwarven cleric with a surly attitude and a healthy love for ale in our D&D campaign. And I've already got a full set of amazing Highlander mini fantasy Dwarf STLs and the new official OPR Grimdark Dwarven Guilds look amazing too (likely paint 'em up like Deep Rock Galactic), so it'll probably be dwarves, and they give me an excuse to use my drinking horn to really get into the mood lol. Might print up some War Daemons for my SO and add in some "not Diablo" heroes/demons from BiteTheBullet as she's a huge fan of that series, and IIRC war daemons can be used in Fantasy and Grimdark but not sure what the differences are.
Also got my eye on Vampiric Undead...and love Orks too even got a few NOT Speed Freak models printed...even got a NOT Rogal Dorn printed and a love for Cadians...there's just too many...

How long did the penal legion take? You really have a nak for this!!!!!!! Love the small scale to so looking forward to any bat reps you do!!!!!!!!! If I can throw in an army idea I'm a sucker for tomb kings / empire of dust:) Love what your doing Buddy, you do AWESOME work!!!!!!
The penal legion I made about a year ago. I remember painting them at work when I was snowed in there. Overall they took about a month. But its one of my biggest armies. About 450 guard, 80 stormtrooper/arbiters 9 of every weapon team. I can't remember how many extras like ogrins and ratings. If I remember right in 40k 9th before the codex it was 6000 points. In resin it was about $60 worth
Like it I think some soul snatcher cults too harken back too the earlier xenos on the station .

it was a bing search. I think i put "transpartent png rifle muzzle flash" . it brings up lots of different ones, if you do it make sure it has the white and grey checkers behind it then right click save file and your set
