    A very thorough tutorial on multicam editing. Especially your troubleshooting aspect of the video was very helpful. That you are aware of the possible occuring problems and solve them in advance for others is what makes you a very good content creator on these kind of tutorials. Most of the time people lose more time on solving problems than on the understanding of the subject itself.

Not just everything I wanted to know but also explained very clear and understandable for a beginner like me. Thank you again!

    This video has been so useful for me over the past day or so - I'm just digging through old footage of a live gig I recorded with multi cam and I never got round to editing it. I have a live audio feed from the sound desk at the club and 3 cam angles - and this video has really perfectly explained how to match everything up and how to use it on the timeline. Downside for me was that all the 3 camera angles had issues where the camera was stopped and restarted, plus it was very loud and the mics on the camera were overloaded so could get a good auto match on audio, it was painstaking to match up, but it worked out well after watching this! Cheers!

      @@JasonYadlovski it turned out all right but there's room for improvement. I do have a question on what do you do when you've created a multicam clip but when you take it over to edit it stop coming up as two merged videos in the timeline and then no longer wants to sync for editing in frame match. I deleted it started over many times but that issue still pops up.

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  3 роки тому

      I would recommend that you make a multicam clip in the Edit tab, not in the Cut tab sync bin. I find that generally you will end up in the Edit tab anyway and I feel like it's a better workflow to do everything in Edit. I haven't had any problems in the Edit tab and I don't really use the Cut tab much, so I'm not sure why it would be doing what you mentioned.

  • @RoadReality
    @RoadReality 3 роки тому +1

    HOLY CRAP! I just got a second camera and plan to do multicam vlogs and videos in the future... and this video is a GAME CHANGER! THANK YOU JASON!
    As a test, I shot footage holding both cameras (I wanted to do a side-by-side video comparison between the two GoPros (video on my channel if you want to see, or I can edit this comment if you don't mind it being in-line here). I brought the footage into Resolve, manually lined both clips up in the Timeline, and then sliced & diced. This multicam stuff is SO MUCH EASIER and FASTER!!!
    Also, I agree with you - multicam in the Edit tab is WAY faster and easier than the Cut tab.

      @@JasonYadlovski Oh, you have no idea. I literally followed along here at home with my own 2 clips. I ran into some stumbling blocks, but nothing I couldn't figure out (what I was doing wrong). This is gonna lighten my workload.
      FWIW, GoPro didn't tell anyone, but the Smart Remote is not compatible with the Hero 9, so the one I bought is only useful for my Hero 8, and thus I'll be recording full rides again instead of just clips, so my workload went way up.

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  3 роки тому +1

      I saw the video you did about the new GoPro and the smart remote not working. Great video. At least now you've got a way to speed up editing a bit since you've got to record more footage. 😁
      I was just at a bike shop today to pick up some oil for my Leaf Blower (They sell Sthil stuff too) and was checking out all the bikes, atvs and dirt bikes. One of these days I've got to get back into it. 😜 For now I've got to stick to ripping around on my kids Yamaha badger ATV, lol. Better than nothing!
