A nice tip regarding the ortlieb saddle bags: I always struggled with them hanging down at the back if not filled fully enough. If you cross the straps on tob of the bad to close it instead of the direct line you give it much more structural integrity to stay in place and not drop off at the end.
Great video lads, I bought a new bike about 11 wks ago and have done about 170 miles on it ,, about 110 of that on canals ,, mainly cos it's flat and I'm recovering a heart attack a yr ago, but I can get from a town to a city about 12 miles and never see a car, so relaxing ,,, guess the secret is carry couple of tubes although I've not had the dreaded puncture yet but I'm sure I will but defiantly takes the stress out of a journey and you meet some nice people along the way cheers Shane Warks uk 🇬🇧
I got a gravel bike this time last year, and I did this route in the summer, ended up in Wimbledon. Had a great day.
You can also turn right on the river Wey and follow it back to Guildford. Very pretty route
really love this kind of adventure bikepacking video. keep coming!
Love the idea of micro-adventures on gravel bikes - we need more of these. A tip for anyone worried about going 'off route' and never being able to connect up after the diversion - always have maps.me loaded on your phone - it will tell you where you are and which way your pointing - invaluable when in the middle of a forest in the dark and your light has just gone terminal
have no idea why this never made it to my youtube feed till march of 2019 but this is great keep it up
Solid series boys. That race was great, very evenly matched
Loved this video lads!! Great content. Mates having good fun out riding! Please make some more!
Great video guys. I had no idea there was so much countryside in that part of the world. One comment though - how about putting links to the kit you are using in the information?
This was brilliant, more please
Looks like fun. I love my gravel bike - a Raleigh Willard 3. I got it as a more rugged and durable road bike and have loved exploring its versatility and comfort. I’ve even snagged a few KOMs on it. I’ll be sure to check out some luggage for it. Keep the fun videos coming.
Very fun to watch!
2:12 in & my editor's eye is seeing (I think....) FOUR cameras being edited together rather nicely to make this little sequence. Respect.
Ending was more thrilling than most TdF stages
inspired by this ride it was awesome!!
I'd choose the Oro Terra C above the others. No contest, at least on the visuals count.
Great trail. More cross than gravel, but lovely
Looked like fun! Cool video
Great video, but was this really a bike packing adventure, or just a bike ride? I thought bike packing normally includes an overnight stay (ideally in a tent).
Don't worry, the tent is coming out of the bag in our next video on Sunday
haha touche! Great video ;)
The best purpose built adventure bike has to be the Jamis Renegade series. Just my opinion.
Maybe I've missed it but is there a link to the route somewhere for people to re ride this?
U Guys are just having so much fun and do I have a job in cycling weekly 😉?
Only for sale gravel bikes.. Much more fun are the MT bikes!!
Erie Canal geese will chase you down lol!!!!!!!
Is there one of these videos on the South Downs Way?
Which shorts do you use??
I certainly enjoyed the video. I would like to know what bike the fourth of your crew was riding?
jirdesteva it was a Specialized ebike!
19:36-19:38...just begging to be used as a sound bite in a remix
I've not been subbed long, sorry I haven't learned your names. What helmet was the fella on the grail wearing? Loved watching y'all having a blast.

So why not put a bag in the canyon? I mean if that weirdass handlebar is so great for adventure
Great video guys.... more of the same please👍🏻
Please understand, I really enjoyed this. However I can’t help but think, It’s a bit like “When GCN Went To Boarding School”
Erh, I think only a road rider would call this a microadventure because it's not on paved roads. I just call them rides. And this one I would call a pretty tame ride. One thing I'm astonished by, though - why were there no pedestrians?
Ollie who?
Please make a prayer for my cousin who has just past away please make a prayer
Passed*
Sorry to hear that but why comment it on UA-cam
Just a glorified advertisement for stuff you dont need.
