Great playing and demo. Roland introduced the nice concept best part is about this is on board speakers. I am keen to buy this but some how I felt piano sound has very less resonance compared to many other products. As I play lot classical music it’s more suitable for pop style that’s what I feel. On specifications they have mentioned that it has 3000 sound which is really a plus about this piano but there no demo of other necessary sounds. Hope you guys will make one more video with other sounds. Thank you so much !
It's sounds synthetic on the hands of horrible players that doesn't have a artistic and professional articulation or touch. It's not a simple sample recording like a CD. It reacts badly to bad playing. Practice with a good teacher for some years and try Roland again.
If you can't play with expression, buy a MOTIF and use that mechanical piano recording. Roland piano sound is only comparable to a few top notch software with a lot of gigabytes and powerful resonance and other effects processing.
I played them both over headphone in the store (classical music) and went with the MP7SE. However, connected to Pianoteq, the MP7SE really is a great solution.
@@strongchord4384 *Juno's are a joke. RD's are Roland's flagship stage brands. No professional piano player is thinking about Juno's when they're thinking of getting a Roland stage board 😆. But with that being said, I've never liked Roland's piano sounds, they're all shit. Besides the V-Piano.*
@@Dadee3 Yeah, they’re all xxxx. @@ferdearmas8732 hi dude, my preferred action is Kawai's GF3 because it feels like the GF2 but with improved mechanism. My second choice would be PHA50, I don't specially like Yamaha digital actions although NXW could be an exception. I wouldn't consider anything below those actions.
@@DavidIzquierdoAzzouz Thanks for your very helpful answer my friend, are you a trained classical or jazz pianist?, and please tell me, what negatives do you find to PHA-50 and NWX?...
@@ferdearmas8732 mate I'm basically classical trained although I play several music styles too (check my UA-cam channel). There're no negatives, it's just GF3 is made by a real piano manufacturer and they intended to make it feel like as close to a Kawai grand as possible, while the PHA50 mimics a Steinway action and the NXW a Yamaha.. It's just up to your taste which one you like more. And again, from those 3 actions only 2 are made by real piano manufacturers (they've been making acoustics for decades).. Also to consider, GF3 is Kawai latest technology and found in some affordable price ranges, while NXW isn't Yamaha's flagship action (not a bad action though).

Are you tried FP10/30/60 or Kawai ES110, Korg D1 and Casio PXS3000?. Please, give me your help. Which key actions are your favorite and why?. Thanks a lot!...
Esse é o melhor som de piano que eu já ouvi até o momento muito original parabéns Roland
Your playing is very beautiful ❤. Sweet to the hearing.
Beautifully played, thank you and God bless you!
Beautiful! I can hardly wait to get mine.
What an amazing sound accompanied by nice playing!
Nice playing
I can feel it too bro... Thank You!!!
bro convinced me to buy the RD-88 without saying a single word.
Your playing is very touching and beautiful, the best I've heard! Wow! Nice contrast of sounds, keys and styles...🎶 Where do you play regularly?
great sound
As usual beautiful playing. Btw Roland pianos are top notch imho
Muitoooo tooopp
Nice! Looking for a good stand for the RD 88. Is that one suitable for both standing and sitting?
Una pregunta, el lo grabé son más pesadas las teclas, en lo medio menos pesadas , en lo agudo muy suavecitas????

Does this keyboard have a piano patch that is based on a Yamaha?

Roland calls it SuperNATURAL sound technology. To me it sounds SuperSYNTHETIC...
FT Totally agree. Roland has the worst Piano sound ever.

I feel the same, I prefer the Casio PX5S with some EQ modulation
@@reacionario2026 *I agree, especially about folks not playing with expression let alone if they even know what that means.*
Please, are the MFX Equalizer and internal amplifier similar to Juno DS 88 ? Does it get loud and bright like the Juno played on stereo speakers ?
Widzę że masz swoje ulubione brzmienia które wybierasz ...
can you use an expression pedal on it?
Great demo!, How would you compare it with the Kawai MP7SE?
I played them both over headphone in the store (classical music) and went with the MP7SE. However, connected to Pianoteq, the MP7SE really is a great solution.
I also decided for the MP7SE it’s a great piano, the best I ever had with great key action, the only issue is the 22Kgs vs 13,5Kgs for the RD88.

Pity it doesn’t run on batteries like the Juno DS - opportunity lost for outdoor events, busking etc.

weight? kg?
I do not like the sound of the piano, I feel that something is missing, maybe more body or maybe it is due to the absence of resonance.
@Kevin *You're wrong and right. Certain generes of music require a crisp or body piano sound. Not one particular sound applies to everything.*
Sound like Roland Fantom or similar? (Pianos).
The same as Rd800,or V-piano Grand.
Czy to piano ma klawiaturę full hammer touch ?
jeśli pytasz czy symuluje ciężkie klawisze fortepianu, to jak najbardziej tak!
Is the RD 2000 considered more top of the line than this one?
Actually its a bit of a watered down version of the RD2000..for those who cant afford the 2000 which is a more a pricey high end keyboard.
*Ofcourse it is 😆*
Very good playing and demo ,but unfortunately moderate piano sound, very plastic and unrealistic. It's a pity, Roland...

Are some of those piano sounds the V-Pianos?
I made a mistake, it is the RD-2000, not the RD88 with the V-piano sounds.
Mh, alle the piano sounds seem to have a so short resonance, just after attack ,to more sound, its so disapointing
way better feel than the MODX8?
*In terms of what. Be specific.*
No way hose. Not even close. i know you are joking right?
Sounds awesome! Is it coming out from the internal speakers?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
E bom nos timbres como todo rd mas não vi nada de fantástico nesse modelo.

This or Yamaha P515?...
I can see a greater practicality in this machine
Roland's piano always adds a lot of flavors, which does not sound real. Far worse than Yamaha's piano.
