Sad fact: When Kyle speaks about the photograph of Sarah, he always used to wonder what she was thinking in that moment. At the end of the scene, when the picture is finally taken, we found out in that moment she was thinking of him all along.
A nice touch that most overlook is when Kyle and sarah are going into the Motel, Kyle lets the dog outside smell him. As mentioned, dogs were used by the resistance to smell out early model Terminators and this identification routine would be an ingrained behaviour for resistance members\Kyle to prove they were not infiltration units. It's a small detail, but a nice touch.
There are a ton of little touches like this in this movie - they're subtle, but show up on re-watching. Really shows the level of thought and care that went into the film. Sadly, doesn't feel like we often get this kind of clever attention to detail in film anymore.
Although it´s hard for me to believe so many people completely missed out on some of the greatest movies of all time, I cannot deny how fun it is to watch them experiencing those for the first time.
I find myself doing it cause most new movies are so terrible it's a waste. So watching someone watch an old classic for the first time gives me the same feelings as myself watching for the first time. Weird
I always think that Reese saved that officer's life in the police station scene by knocking him out. Because he was unconscious and prone so less likely to be hit by stray bullets.
He did. _supposedly_ The number of officers stated to be in the building by the desk srgt was 30. If you count the officers gunned down and the bursts of fire from the T800 offscreen it adds up to 29. 30 minus the detective Kyle knocked out. In T2 it's reported that 17 of the 29 casualties died that night.
The scene in Sarah's apartment in which she gives away her location to the Terminator over the answering machine encapsulates the main theme of the film... Machines that were meant to make our lives easier will ultimately betray us.
It was a small point, the book that the terminator takes with sarahs driving licence contains the location 'Big Bear Lodge'[?] which is the house that the terminator is in when it's mimicking her mother on the phone... :)
@Druid of Scosglen watch on UA-cam tube the vid of Tesla in China that instead of parking went on a full berserker mode, speeding enormously over a long distance and killing several people during. It's scary reminiscent of the terminator ideas.
"It has no pity, no remorse, no fear and it absolutely will not stop ever until you are dead". That line still terrifies me, no matter how many times I watch it. An indestructible, emotionless, soulless, and efficient killing machine is still perhaps the greatest and terrifying villain/monster in movie history. I watch in 1990 for the first. I was 12 and it's the only movie to give me nightmares.
That's what early humans were to critters. We weren't faster than the deer or mammoth. We just kept following them until they were too tired to run further. That's why zombies & the Terminator hit us on such a primal level.
Finally, I hear that someone besides me had nightmares from this movie. I had 21 years of nightmares of the first terminator trying to kill me, always with its' bare hands. Finally had a psychiatrist tell me how to end them.
@@Durzo1259 so how did you end them? I only have anxiety attacks that sometimes come with the paranoid feeling of a Terminator turning up from behind the corner, but I'd be really curious to hear.
@@DasObscure The psychiatrist told me to practice imagining the nightmares during the day, where as it comes at me I put out my hand towards it and mentally will it to shut down, like I drained all the power out using the force. I only practiced it once, but at the end of a nightmare I got cornered by it and suddenly thought to stick out my hand and will it to shut down. After that I told myself I have this power to stop it now, and the nightmares never came back.
Kyle wasn't really John Conner's friend. Conner was his leader, superior officer, etc. John barely talked to him (I think you missed him saying that) which was why he was surprised he gave him that picture. Of course John knew, so he wasn't trying to get to close to the guy he knew was his father and he'd have to send back to die, basically.
Don't forget he's much younger than John, too. Kyle was born after Judgement Day, at that point in the late 90s, John was already a young adult when it went down. By the time they met, John was probably in his 40s while Kyle was barely in his 20s.
*eat my ass dark fate doesn't count idfc * Technically not any more since they delayed judgements day in 2 because he is born in 2003 judgement day happens in 2004
And the gun shop guy doesn't even question it. Instead of 'WTF are you talking about, what is a plasma rifle?' he's just like 'if it's not on display I don't sell it'.
Kyle mentioned that a lot of records were lost in the war. The T800 was checking if there was anything available at this point in time that could hurt him and if the shop owner would be able to stop him from taking the weapons.
You're going to love T2. Sarah is a real badass in that one. Few things, yes the Terminator can change it's voice (you missed it at 24:00). Also, Kyle was wondering what Sarah was thinking about when the picture was taken. She was thinking about him.
Also, during scene where Kyle is dreaming, they show that the scars on his back were from when he's trapped in the technical after it flips and catches fire.
Kyle falling asleep next to the construction site, and the noise of the machines triggering his PTSD of the future war where his friends die to hunter-killers, will never not make me sad.
Fun (Crazy)Fact: James Cameron originally wanted OJ Simpson to play the role of The Terminator but changed his mind saying "He's too much of a nice guy to play the role of a ruthless killer."😳🤦 Sylvester Stallone, Tom Selleck Lance Henriksen and Mel Gibson were considered for the role. Sting, Kurt Russell, Michael O'Keefe, Treat Williams Christopher Reeve Scott Glenn, Matt Dillon and Bruce Springsteen were considered for Kyle Reese Lea Thompson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jessica Harper, Melissa Sue Anderson, and Lisa Langolis were considered for Sarah Connor.
I'm honestly really glad that Arnold got the role and not OJ Simpson. I think the movie and it's legacy would be much different today if anyone but Arnold got the role. I actually really like that James Cameron kept a lot of the same actors throughout his movies because they were all very talented actors that played their roles to the T. Pretty wild though that the role was offered to OJ, that blew my mind Shaine!🤯
@@LoveLaurenn What's most interesting is how at one point Arnold was supposed to get the role for Kyle, while Bishop from Aliens would play the terminator. The original idea was to have a robot that could be and look like anybody, even a lean guy like Bishop, step out of a crowd and assassinate it's target. A person that doesn't stand out, that you would least expect. When humanity was on it's last leg, and hiding in those bunkers like in Kyle's flashback, Skynet designed smaller and smaller robots until they were neigh indistinguishable from humans, in order to infiltrate and breach into these secret human outposts. Cameron didn't like the idea of Arnold playing the hero, so he was going to meet with him and intentionally pick a fight so the deal would be off. At this lunch however, Arnold said he read the script and was very impressed with the terminator character, and discussed with Cameron how the actor that would end up playing the terminator has to be very skilled to make you believe he is a robot. The way he moves in the movies, like in the police car when he is moving his head left and right, with his eyes lagging behind following the head movement, like sort of a moving security camera scanning; all of these small details were Arnold's ideas and seeing the excitement of Arnold talking about this, Cameron was convinced nobody else could play this role. Many people might have thought Arnold was just muscle for action movies, but it seems playing the role of a robot and being convincing is not that easy in reality.
Of course, there could be Terminators that look like all of those actors. The one that attacked the hideout does show that Arnie isn’t the only production model, after all.
@@bulanet271 Well, initially terminator as a cyborg was suposed to be an infiltration unit, that does not bring unnecessary attention to itself, therefore must look like an ordinary human. It's strength is far beyond human though, so to confront such machine, soldiers have to be as strong as possible, which is impossible without gaining muscle mass. That was initial idea, but pretty soon it would become obvious that Arnold is not such a good actor to play Kyle's part. Props to Arnold himself for recognizing his own limitations. Thus, it was decided to give him terminator part, where there was almost nothing to play and he looked more intimidating, which doesn't make much sense, but folks in the cinemas loved it amnyway)
49:21 they built an actual upper body of the terminator and placed it on the shoulders of a worker, who controlled it via cables so that you could only see the upper half of the terminator. they made a brilliant job considering their time and budget, which even by 80s standard was a B-Budget movie (6 Million Dollar production costs). the stop motion scenes where they showed the terminator in full size obviously coulnt be made by other means, but damn, those upper half shots look 100% real cause they actually built it
James Cameron wrote The Terminator, Aliens and Rambo II at the same time. To keep each script tuned in to the genre and segregated from each other, each script was written in it's own room.
Watching this young woman watch this for the first time is like remembering one's thoughts and realizations of nearly 40 years ago. Quite a charming feeling.
Yes, John knew Kyle was his father that's why he gave him the picture of Sarah. Loved your reaction to this movie, glad you enjoyed it. It's my favorite movie.
Three actors played in both The Terminator and Aliens: Bill Paxton played "Punk Leader" (the guy with the blue Mohawk when Arnie first shows up) and Hudson. Lance Henriksen played Vukovich (a cop) and Bishop. Michael Biehn played Reese and Hicks. Full-body shots of the endoskeleton are of a small stop-motion model. Closer shots are of a full-size animatronic.
I can’t believe I just sat for an hour watching someone react to terminator. Lol. I was totally engaged seeing your wonderful responses. This is how we all felt the first time we saw it. I guess I’m just sort of reliving my youth through you. Thanks!
This film is an example of a bootstrap paradox. John send his father back in time to create John. It's nice to know what Sarah was thinking of Kyle in the picture, and Kyle wondered what Sarah was thinking about in the picture.
If they destroyed all traces of the terminators in the mill and they were originally created from their own remnants they couldn't have been created in the first place right? Maybe that explains why the T800 forgot his arm in the cog wheel
So as not to argue semantics, here is the way I look at it: Cameron's choice for the film was that time travel be a closed loop. Or more accurately, a mobius strip. There is no beginning or end. Judgment Day always happens. John always leads the survivors to victory. Skynet always sends back the Terminator to kill Sarah. Kyle always is John's father. As it's own story, it is absolute. I will not spoil the second film, but will simply say the difference is that instead of maintaining that theme, he took this established universe and flipped it right on it's head. Making the same thing twice is dumb. So instead, let us ask questions: What if the future is not set? What if you could change things? What if there is no fate but what we make? It's quite clear that Cameron wanted to explore the other side of the coin. Closed loops are pessimistic. Wide open roads are far more hopeful. So, although they are very much sequels to each other in certain aspects, in others, they are two thesis papers denying the science of the other. I hope you love it Laurenn! My only suggestion is if you watch passed part 2, lower your expectations dramatically. You're honestly better off with the TV show.
@@MykeHavoc The way I see it, there has to be a "terminator 0" where there was no John Connor and the machines where winning and humanity sent back Kyle Reese to kill Skynet before it was born. Back in time he meets Sarah, teach her about the future, makes a baby...
Also I love the scene in the Tech-Noir club. Name of the club is really obvious. The build up of Kyle observing and T-800 stalking the scene, contrasted to the care free and happy vibe of the dancing people, who don't know that the faith of humanity is being decided at this very moment. Sometimes when I go to a club I catch myself thinking what would be if something like that happens for real. That's how masterful the scene is.
Okay, here's a bit of trivia in response to your revelation that Cameron wrote this. The spec script for The Terminator was so well received that he got offered the Aliens gig (as writer) and Rambo 2 IN THE SAME WEEK! Producer David Giler told him "Don't be stupid, accept both offers." And so he did. And, in true Cameron fashion, he mathematically figured out how many pages he would need to write per day and how much sleep he would need and then made a schedule and wrote both.
I am loving all of the James Cameron films I think he does some incredible work! I was thoroughly impressed that he wrote and directed this film, what a GOAT!
@@ninjavigilante5311 After a terrible experience on Piranha 2: The Spawning (and getting fired from that directing job) he got sick and in a fever dream/nightmare he saw a "metal man" coming out of a fire towards him.
@@nickgjenkins He also drew some ideas from the work of science fiction author Harlan Ellison, which is why Ellison's name appears in the credits, now.
Terminator is considered to be one of the greatest sci-fi/horror films ever made and it’s not hard to see why. Aside from a single rubber Arnold head the movie holds up tremendously well. The tension is real, the story has stakes and you really care about Reece and Sarah’s survival. The second film is also equally as good for different reasons.
Cool note that in a deleted scene Kyle and Sarah come across a dying Traxler who gives Kyle his revolver and tells him to protect Sarah. He may not 100% believe Kyle's story but he witnessed a "man" gun down like a dozen of his friends and survived multiple gunshots with no reaction. Yes Lance Henriksen the police detective was in Aliens and Alien vs. Predator. Also the late great Bill Paxton has the distinguished honor of being killed by an Alien (Aliens), Terminator, and Predator (Predator 2).
I like how Cameron had Reese tell Sarah that John gave him a picture of her once, and that he always wondered what she was thinking at that moment. Then at the end of the movie, we see the young boy take her picture while she was making a recording to John saying that even though their time together was short, they loved a lifetimes worth. That was a hell of a way to end a movie.
I loved seeing Laurenn's reaction to this movie, especially the scene where Kyle explains Sarah's son is mankind's savior. That level of shock is an amazing thing to accomplish in a story and you can never truly achieve it by rewatching a movie. That's what I love most about reaction channels, is seeing someone's initial reaction to those moments in a story you can only experience once to the full effect.
My friends and I saw The Terminator in the theaters when it came out -- I was 7 years old. It blew our minds. 4 years later, we'd all play Wasteland on our computers. Good times.
Hey Lauren, more facts to chew on: James Cameron who wrote and directed this masterpiece got the idea from a fever induced nightmare. He saw a chrome covered skeleton crawling out of flames slowly walking towards him to kill him. When his fever broke he immediately wrote down the idea and from that idea came "The Terminator"
That and he stole the atmosphere and tone from an episode of the outer limits, watch that episode and in the first ten seconds you will think you are watching Kyle Reese in the future.its a great episode besides that as well
@@ericseitzler81 glad someone brought this up. Cameron palmares speaks for itself but the terminator screen play and it being his is suspect at best. He made it successful so no knocking his hustle in that perspective
@@smoothe4216 true. I mean almost every great movie barrowed from another one.i remember watching that episode of outer limits and in literally 10 seconds I thought I was watching the terminator,it's exactly the same but people don't give him shit about stealing ideas because nobody remembers an old tv show from the 60s,if people actually saw it they would give him hell over it.he took a good idea and made it great though.
Cops weren't looking for Reese exactly: they were investigating the lighting-storm-teleport. Cops can chase down people running at the sight of cops under the assumption they are "up to something" if someone bolts at the sight of officers (I can't think of a better way to phrase that or the actual law/policy). So just bad luck for Reese to run away (soldier's reflex) while cops were investigating an electrical disturbance.
This film was released in late October of 1984, between the end of the summer blockbuster season, and the start of the Christmas movie season. The studio had little faith in the film because nobody knew anything about James Cameron; Schwarzenegger had some name recognition due to the Conan films; and Paul Winfield had a solid reputation as a working actor; but every other cast member was completely unknown. It went on to make more than $80 million on a $6.4 million budget, and spawned an entire franchise, including Terminator 2, an outstanding sequel; as well as a TV series, "The Sarah Connor Chronicles," which was really good. The rest of the films were all pretty much crap, so skip them.
@@SamuelBlack84 I enjoyed 3...not as much as 2 or 1 but I still enjoyed it. 4 and 5 ... I did not hate is probably the best I can say about them. But to tell her to skip them? She might like them. Some people like them. I know that 3 and and 4 barely made a profit and 5 lost over 100 million dollars... but she might like them!
@@ar47yrr4p Everything after T2 is garbage. Just because the mouth breathing masses paid to see it doesn't means it's any good...quite the opposite actually.
Hey Lauren, I know you love "The Terminator" practical effects. You have to thank the master himself STAn Winston and his studio team. he was the premiere practical effects studio in Hollywood. He has come up with every movie creature for the past 30-40 years. Including. Terminator (chrome skeleton), Predator, Iron Man practical suit, X-Men prosthetic effects. The only studio to come along and give them a run for their money is Wingnut studios from LOTR fame. I bow to this master of movie magic.
The practical effects were awesome! Sometimes the effects take me out of the film (especially movies with special effects, they just look so fake) but it didn't in this movie. I thought it was all done so well! The practical effects of the 80's are part of the reason why I have been loving these 80s films so much. Nothing beats those effects in my opinion, they are so good! Thanks for your feedback K2, and thank you for watching weeee😄
Great reaction as always. You're fun to watch. Arnold was initially offered the role of Kyle Reese, but asked to play the terminator. He thought that role suited him better.
In one of the Making of films, Cameron talks about how the studio wanted Arnold for the name recognition. Cameron assumed that Arnold was going to want to play Reese, the hero. At the time, Cameron had no leverage with the studio, and could not say no. He was crafty enough that he figured, if he pissed Arnold off enough, he wouldn't want to be in the movie, and Cameron could have the actor he wanted. He says that as he walked out the door he said to his roommate, "I'm on my way to go pick a fight with Arnold Schwarzenegger." They met, and he was surprised to learn that Arnold wanted the part of the terminator. On top of that, Arnold really understood the story, and what James was trying to accomplish. He said they talked for hours. They ended up becoming friends.
Always love the constant subtle shots of the Terminator destroying any sense of innocence, decency, morality and humanity wherever possible throughout this first film. From stripping one of the punks of his clothing, throwing a guy off of the phone simply to use the phone book, running over a child's truck, all the way up to LITERALLY crawling over Kyle's dead body. All in the single minded pursuit of it's mission, in the most optimum way. One of the most ruthless representations of how technology - when unchecked - can rob us of everything we consider human, that's what makes this a horror film first and foremost.
I agree with your entire comment. This move has some very in your face violence and scenes of shock and horror but also has so many subtle moments that you have to watch a second time to let it soak in. This movie really was ahead of its time and James Camron is just phenomenal at his craft. This was a true masterpiece of cinema and deserves all the praise it gets. They really don't make movies like this anymore and I don't think any movie made in the last 20 years can come close to the entertainment/fun factor.
So happy you're checking this one out, my personal favorite movie of all time, and its mostly for the fact that Arnold plays one of the greatest villains ever conceived and made for the big screen.
One of the 3 punks in the beginning was Hudson from Aliens and Kyle is Hicks from Aliens too. Vasques will be in Terminator 2. And yes one of the cops was Bishop from Aliens.
When "The Terminator" first came out it wasn't a big hit---except in the grind houses, where the audiences went nuts during the TechNoir, Cyborg repair, and police station scenes. The film really built its audience with home video and then repeated showings on cable. Good times.
The Terminator is in exceptional company in that. Just think of how many great movies could have just up and disappeared from pop culture memory if they hadn’t gotten their enduring second-wind through home video and cable.
Are you sure about that? I was in the theaters back in the 80's and everybody raved about it then. As far as I remember it was a big hit in the city I lived in. It actually grossed $78.3 million it's first two weeks in the theaters in the U.S and was made at a modest $6.4 million budget. I would say that's a big hit.
@@wiseguymaybe Well, no. The movie had a 6.4 million budget, and grossed 4 million on its opening weekend. It did a total of 38 million Domestic, and 40 million overseas, for a total of 78.3 as you said :) And yes, when you do a 15 time return of "investment", you indeed have a huge hit on your hands :) (not to mention what it raked in from video sales, licensing, etc).
@@PlacidDragon I got my google mixed up. It did say that it topped the United States box office for 2 week and then added 78.3 million dollars eventually . Sorry about that, I read it wrong. Thanks for clarafying, I hate making mistakes like that. But still my point proven it WAS a box office hit.
Your reaction to the eyeball scene was priceless 😂😂 I'm happy you finally watched this James Cameron masterpiece. I could tell that you were heavily into the movie and enjoying the ride. P.S. Your Arnold voice is epic 😎
The scalpel to the eyeball killed me lmao! I didn't even realize the faces I was making but it was pretty funny to watch that back😂I was SOOOOO into this movie, everything about it was incredible. James Cameron is a freaking GOAT! Don't lie to me, my arnold impression was terrible🤣🤣
Anything James Cameron touches is gold. He spent 6 months story boarding the entire movie, which is unheard of now, a testament to how good the pacing and action sequences are. One of my absolute favourite films. I saw this in theatres a few years ago when they re-released it in London and it was incredible. If you loved T1, T2 will blow you away. Thats the one where Sarah got her badass reputation from.
To be honest, Avatar is kind a dud. Yeah i know it broke box office records and is visually impressive. But damn the story is a nothing sandwich, it's just Pocahontas and Dance with the Wolves in SPACE!!!
@@oliviawilliams6204 Avatar was just a proof of concept or a tech demo. I'm curious how they will continue the story beyond that basic recycled premise.
Lance Henriksen was Bishop in Aliens. Also Bill Paxton who was Hudson in Aliens is one of the punks in the very beginning that The Terminator kills. And of course, Michael Biehn is Hicks in Aliens, too. Lol.
Another fun detail is when Kyle tells Sarah he had an old picture of her, he never describes which picture of her it is. So she doesn't necessarily know that's the picture. All Kyle says is, he wondered what she was thinking in the moment the picture was taken. And she was thinking about him.
This as always been a horror movie to me. The thought that the utterly tireless Terminator's only purpose is to find you and kill you. It cannot be bargained with, reasoned with or bribed. It will not get bored, distracted or lose interest. When you are eating, it is looking for you. When you are asleep, it is looking for you... Always looking for you. That. Is. Terrifying.
And that while it does have a shelf life of 100years per battery (they carry 2 plus a reserve so somewhere around 250 years total according to lore) that every second of its battery life it's looking for you thinking of every possible calculated chance in killing you whether it uses family, neighbors, authorities etc etc
I never noticed how much sense it made from Sarah's perspective to call and leave a message, she was convinced that the person out to get her was already stalking her at the club.
My parents never let me see this in the cinema, so I had an audio recording of the movie put on cassette and I would listen to it constantly. I have the whole film's audio track memorized lol Out of all the reaction I have seen to Terminator, yours is hands down the best. Terminator 2 next or soon I hope!
oh my goodness lol, I can't imagine what it was like for you to only hear the audio! I bet your imagination ran wild with it! Such an incredible movie, I absolutely loved it😃Thank you for watching Duncan! Terminator 2 is indeed next weeeee😊
Lol i watched terminator when i was 8 , alien same year and excorsits 1 year later, my mother is fucked up (you're cute as hell, im not a fan of tatoos but they look good.)
I saw this movie at a drive in when I was 9. My parents had divorced, and this guy wanted to date my mother. He wanted to take her to a scary movie, but she wouldn't leave me alone. They snuck me into the drive in. At the end of the movie, the guy said, "I thought it was 'The Exterminator'". He wanted to go to a slasher movie, instead of a science fiction classic. The Terminator, Battlestar Galactica and The Transformers, are all stories of a "robot uprising". The Terminator being the most frightening as it is the only one that happens here on this planet. PS- Also 2001 - A Space Odyssey. But that was far away from Earth. Any time there is a development in artificial intelligence we are reminded of "The Terminator". It is possible, that the movie "The Terminator" existing has already stopped such a scenario from happening. 😀 Or did it only postpone it? 🤔😨
A few years ago they made a show called the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Its Sarah and a teenage John try to prevent Skynet, with some future help. I enjoyed it but it only lasted two seasons.
This is one of the best reactions I've ever seen, of ANY movie. Your set was nice. Your sound didn't distort when you'd got a bit louder; no distortion whatsoever. And your watching the movie was pure joy. I've watched over 100 reactors and the things I most detest are that they feel they have to joke their way through the movie or predict what's going to happen, followed by self-congratulatory whooping when they guess right. You just watched, paid attention, and didn't know most of the movie ahead of time. To top it off, you gave us a good length ... some reactors put out videos that are 1/3 the length of this and you can't even tell what's going on, so much is left out. You are an excellent reactor. I've seen this movie a few-dozen times through reactors, but this video was sublime. You do good work.
One of my favorite parts is the picture and how Kyle Reese was always wondering what Sarah is thinking about in the picture. She was thinking about him.
@@PREPFORIT her words she speaks right before the picture is taken are, "In the few hours we had together, we loved a lifetimes worth." As she says the last word the picture is taken.

I love your neck tattoo as well, I couldn't imagine how long it must have taken to get that done; but it is stunning. I look forward to seeing your future videos, and I will be going back through your previous catalogue to see more... :)
You saying the Terminator looked like a zombie towards the end reminded me of something mentioned in later book adaptations. Skynet was well aware of the value of psychological warfare. That was one of the main reasons why it chose to create the cyborgs resembling human skeletons so much. The image of a 6 feet tall metal skeleton slowly approaching in complete silence sure would have me shit my pants. And the fact that the living tissue would start to decompose and look corpse like when it took too much damage also just added to the terror factor. Again Skynet was well aware how horrifying a walking rotting decomposing corpse with machine parts on the inside would be for an unsuspecting human, not even mentioning the smell... (I.e. the janitor asking the terminator if he has a dead cat in his room...) Other than that, that was a fun reaction, and big kudos to you for catching all the major story beats first time watching the movie! :D Now it's time for you to watch the second movie for sure, and I can't wait to see your reaction to it!
I suppose considering Skynet was originally created to control the deadliest weapons of many countries it would be programmed with a great deal of war tactics
Best reaction video I've seen in a while, thank you! :) Sarah Connor? There is an extended version that has more dialogue. The factory where Sarah kills the terminator is Cyberdyne Systems, the people that built Skynet.
Nice! Terminator is such a good movie. For it being an 80's movie the special effects for the most part still holds up. With a few exceptions of course haha. The story is great and the acting is great too. Can't wait to see your reaction to Terminator 2

@@LoveLaurenn Yeah they're still pretty awesome. Eventhough I like CGI. Practical effects should still be used more often in movies. One of the parts that seems a little dated to me is when they used what looks like stop motion when T-800 is chasing them after the truck explosion. Also after Arnie surgically removes this eye. The robot they used looks a little too obvious. Other than that I think everything is awesome 👌🏼
@@LoveLaurenn That's because Stan Winston was one of the best. He also helped a little on The Thing as well when Rob Bottin got sick and had to be hospitalized.
I never quite understood this obsession with effects. Still hold up? Compared to what? Every 2010s film has a bunch of CGI far less believable than stop motion and rubber head from this.
@@jovanjorgovan23 I think you answered your own question. I get that early 2000's CGI was more miss than hit but you have to go through that in order to perfect it. You can't pretend that CGI done right nowadays doesn't look awesome. You can usually chalk up bad CGI to budget constraints or people who just plain don't know what they're doing. In my opinion, current movies that don't solely rely on CGI tend to come out awesome. I don't hate stop motion or claymation but there's a reason hardly anyone uses it anymore. Also, going all practical is hard to pull off unless your name is Stan Winston or Rick Baker. Even then in this movie it's super obvious that it's not Arnold in the scene right after he cuts out his eye and you can see the red cyborg eye. Just saying, using only one type of special effects is usually not the way to go.

Great reaction Laurenn. Out of all the reactors I have watched, you did make some of the coolest wierd faces during the terminator self surgery scene. You will love the sequel. Dont wait too long. Seeya, bye.
James Cameron actually made a mistake, Terminator IS a robot, not a cyborg ) Cyborg is a human with robotic/mechanic parts in his body. Robocop can be called as a cyborg I guess
If you thought this movie was a masterpiece, wait until you see T2. It's one the greatest films of the entire 90s! And that's not an exaggeration. It's what Top Gun: Maverick is to the original Top Gun today. A rare action sequel that greatly suppresses an already masterful original.
@52:30, in the novel it is disclosed that John Connor was aware of Reese’s identity. He intentionally found Kyle and had him assigned to a unit close to him. However, John never tells Kyle that he knows who he is. Just before Kyle is sent back, Connor asks for a moment alone with him. He makes Kyle memorize the speech for encouragement. Then Connor just stands looks at Kyle and gives him a big bear hug. Most people in this time who personally know John Connor are used to him being stoic. So the hug was very out of character. Before Kyle can say anything Connor walks out of the room. After the time displacement finishes, Connor is asked by one of his officers what happens next as they weren’t sure the machine worked properly. Connor tells them that Kyle succeeded in his mission to protect Sarah and died in the process. The officer then says “Sergeant Reese was a good soldier”. Connor then tells the assembled group that Kyle was most importantly his father.
I think most Millennial reactors felt the way that you did with the fact that Arnold was to be a good guy in this film. Arnold was starting to make a name for himself so he was casted in a villain role in this one. Later in the 80s and 90s, he became one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood. That's how my of us see him nowadays. I love 80s films also, ESPECIALLY for their practical effects. As much as I like CGI, there's no comparison when you blow up a huge freakin' gas tanker to bits in live action then to have a computer render it visually. Sarah's badassery begins in the sequel which is so much better because of the film's budget, action and storytelling. You must see it really soon! I'm glad that you loved this film! "I'll be back!" 📽❤
Love your reaction to this. One of my favorite films ever. Seeing your realisations, working out what was happening took me back to my first watch. Little fun fact! The three punks at the beginning the leader is the actor Bill Paxton. He was also in Aliens and Predator. Only guy to be killed by a Terminator, alien and predator! 😜
As others have mentioned, this movie was very early in Arnie's career. Prior to Terminator he'd had a number of small roles, some uncredited, in TV series, and he'd landed the lead role in the Conan the Barbarian movie (a Sword and Sorcery type fantasy movie), where he played a heroic character. His agent was absolutely deadset against him taking the role as the Terminator, because his career was only just barely getting started and his agent thought that Arnie playing a flat out bad guy would essentially be the equivalent of committing career suicide. Arnie insisted, he got the role, and it became the launch pad of his entire career.
Hi Laurenn, great reaction. I've watched several (if not all already) of your reactions, and you were soooo into this one. It was really fun to watch. I suggest you watch Terminator 2: Judgment Day next, and then Terminator: Dark Fate. All three were done by James Cameron. There are other Terminator movies done by others, but I personally wasn't too invested in them. They were decent enough to watch, but overall, these three Cameron ones were the absolute best. I've watched these several times, and all the other ones just once or twice. Keep up the great work.
Dark Fate wasn't written or directed by Cameron. The rights just went back to him and he offered a "story idea". Dark Fate has some neat stuff in it, but my personal feeling is to just stop after T2: Judgement Day.
With all the movies, time line gets more convoluted than a Doctor Who holiday special. Luckily Scientist Man explains it (spoilers) ua-cam.com/video/JXJiSZhA5cg/v-deo.html
Despite never being on the set of "Terminator: Dark Fate," James Cameron said he was heavily involved in the writing and editing of the film, which led to creative differences between him and director Tim Miller. The controversial fate of a certain character at the beginning of the film was Cameron's idea. Miller said Cameron wrote the on-screen introduction of Carl and the scenes where he talks about his family. Trying to be vague so not to spoil Terminator 2 for Laurenn, but Cameron wanted to expand on some of the concepts he introduced in that film with Carl.
If I am recalling correctly; in the novelization(that did not make it into the movie), SKYNET did not have any records to what Sarah looked like. It had only a medical record notation that she had a long healed scar of unknown cause on her tibia. So when the terminator executed a Sarah on the phone book list, it also checked for the scar to determine if it got the correct target.
wehhhh I'm so glad that this video made your week better, that makes me happy to read that! This was an amazing movie, I'm ashamed I haven't seen it sooner😌Absolutely incredible!
I never watch reaction videos, but somehow I stumbled on your Robocop reaction video and I ended up watching many more of your reaction videos, watching your excitement is great, even though you only show snippets and there are many jumps from scene to scene it still feels like I am watching these whole movies with someone. The 80s were awesome and it's great to see young people appreciate them the way you do! I'll be watching more of your reactions in the future! 👍 Side note: the name of the club where Sarah, Kyle and the Terminator first meet is called Tech Noir. ... There is a music genre called Retrowave or Synthwave, look up on YT: GUNSHIP - Tech Noir. Great video with awesome music, that should lead you to way more 80s vibe music. Also, if you like silly video games, look up BroForce! has all the 80s action heroes in it 👊
I remember the first time we watched the “I’ll be back.” Scene back then. When we came crashing through in the car, my dad was like, “We’ll, he said he’d be back.” There’s a deleted scene in the police station where Reese and Sarah come across the detective before they get out of the building. He apologizes to them for not listening and gives them his gun and car keys.
You have a Hellrpiest Grogu!!! ❤ Love T1 and T2. Part of what makes T1 so cool is the full 80s synth soundtrack, very atmospheric and also suspensful Also one of the 3 Schwarzenegger films to also star the late Bill Paxton. Punk with blue hair in this, a US Navy Radar operator in Commando and a sleazy car salesman in True Lies. And while Arnold was in Predator, Bill Paxton was in Predator 2
This movie was great. Terminator 2 is fantastic, and widely considered one of the best sci-fi action movies ever made, and generally one of the best movie sequels ever made. If you liked this movie, you are going to love T2. This is just the start of the story. There's a lot more story to tell.
FUN FACT: Before Arnold was cast as the Terminator, Lance Henriksen got the part and director James Cameron already had artwork with him in the role. When pitching the film to John Daly of Hemdale Film Corporation, Cameron got Henriksen to show up early to the meeting dressed as the Terminator (sunglasses, leather jacket, fake cuts), kick open the door to the office and sat in a chair. Cameron arrived shortly after and Daly agreed to back the film. Henriksen obviously didn't play the Terminator, but Cameron made it up to him by casting him as a detective as well as Bishop in "Aliens".
Great reaction! When this film first came out, I assumed it was going to be a cheap, dumb action film. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but anyway, I didn't feel the need to see it straight away. So I was astonished at how great it was when I eventually got to see it. The way the plot drip-feeds you the information gradually and organically is just about perfect. And the "closed loop" nature of the story was so brilliantly done that I never thought about the possibility, or necessity, of a sequel. I still feel the same way in some regards, but I'll concede that T-2 is terrific despite that. Regarding Arnold being the bad guy in this one, bear in mid that this was very early in his career, and he was considered a limited actor, so the role of an emotionless cyborg was probably thought to be a good fit at that time. After the success of this film, though, he was a much more bankable lead.
You want another mindf***: John Connor only got to know his dad, who he never grew up with, by pretending to be his friend (while his general). Had to creepily give his dad a photo of his mom, so his dad could fall for her. Then had to knowingly send his father off to die, just so he'd be born by being with his mom for only a single night. So in theory, the Terminator franchise takes place in a Universe where multiple trips through time have already happened. As logically John Connor should have never existed. So in some hypothetically timeline the machines built a time machine for some unknown reason, and Kyle Reese went back through it, and ended up with Sarah. A Terminator probably went back to kill Kyle, not Sarah as John wasn't known to them. They probably succeeded but this made Sarah aware and a believer so she raised John to stop this future. This John probably was the one to give the photo intentionally to Kyle and fought back. So the movie takes place in the 3rd timeline (or later). So again: 1) original timeline that leads to Terminators but one ray of hope as a time machine is made and Kyle for an unknown reason goes back. 2) the first new timeline where Kyle is now in his past and gets Sarah pregnant. Here John is born and is trained by his mom to fight back. He wins, but unfortunately the machines now send a Terminator to kill him, but John sends his father back to impregnate his mother and save her. 3) the film itself.
This was a great reaction!! It’s one of the greatest movies ever made. Fun tidbit: when Kyle first shoots him in Tech Noir with the shotgun, you can hear the bullets hitting metal when they make contact with him. It’s something you really just catch on subsequent watches. All effects were practical and the endoskeleton at the end was done with stop motion. The good old 80s!
Great reaction, Laurenn! Especially during the eye removal scene! 😁 I'm glad to hear you're watching Terminator 2! Like Aliens, it's considered one of the best sequels ever made. You'll notice lots of little callbacks to scenes in Terminator, too, which makes it a fun sequel to watch. You'll also get to see why Sarah Connor ranks up there with Ripley as one of the best female characters in film. You can stop with Terminator 2 unless you're a huge fan of the franchise. The first two films tell a complete story and there wasn't any need for further films and they get worse in quality pretty quick. You may have already watched it, but if not you might want to know that a "special edition" cut of Terminator 2 exists, but Cameron considers the theatrical cut to be the definitive version. If you watch the special edition you'll get an extra 15 minutes of scenes which give some additional depth to the characters but they're not strictly necessary to the plot and the movie is perfectly good without them. One thing to watch for is to make sure that you're seeing the theatrical ending as some versions will use an alternate ending that was shot but test audiences hated it. They went back and filmed another and that's the one used in the theatrical release. The original ending that everyone hated is on UA-cam, so you might want to check it out after you see the movie just to compare the two endings. You might also want to check out True Lies, which was also written and directed by Cameron. He teams up with Schwarzenegger again, along with Jamie Lee Curtis and Bill Paxton. Paxton was in Aliens (playing the whiny Private Hudson) and was the punk with the spiked blue hair at the beginning of Terminator. As you noticed, Cameron likes to work with the same people so the more of his films you watch the more familiar faces you'll see.
Enjoyed watching your reactions to my favorite movie. Hell of a love story huh? Man travels across time to protect the mother of mankind's only hope. "I love you. Always have." The guns and killer robots are just icing on the cake.
Hey Lauren. Priceless reaction faces for this one. That's why you're the best! 😁 You recognized Bishop from Aliens, and Hicks. But you missed Hudson. For shame, Lauren, for shame! 🤣 Just kidding. Anywho, great react. Can't wait for T2, a sequel that outdoes the original. Take care. I'll be back....for your next react. 😁
I love how James Cameron uses a lot of the same actors in his films, they are wonderful actors so that was cool to see some of the same cast😄I know I missed hudson lmao I'm SO ASHAMED wehhh😂 Glad you enjoyed my reaction Neal, thank you for watching🙏
@@LoveLaurenn I can guarantee that you will also miss the fact that Jenette Goldstein, who played private Vazquez in Aliens (a tough heavy gun operator with a red bandana), played a foster mother in Terminator 2 - so different a role that almost no one recognized her there :))
Hey Lauren, When Arnold made Terminator he wasn't a big star yet which is why he played the bad guy. Everyone thinks Arnold is the good guy, from his off-screen persona. Little do they realize he was hired by James Cameron to unleash destruction and mayhem on an unsuspecting world. This is the movie that made his career
Don't know if anyone mentioned it below, but Lance Henriksen and Bill Paxton remain the only actors in Hollywood to have had their characters killed by a Terminator, a Predator and an Alien Xenomorph........Also, you should check out _The Hunt for Red October_ and _True Lies_ -- You'll love them both.
Great reaction. The first 2 Terminator movies really do tie together well. It's cool to see Arnold as the antagonist too, he fit this role like a glove. Both movies have their own feel and style but I just love the entire 80's vibe from this one. This is easily my favourite movie ever. I remember the first time I saw that surgery scene lol, it kinda left me with a
It was very cool to see Arnold as the anatagonist he played the role so well! Was overall very impressed by this film, I am loving what James Cameron does with his films. Absolutely incredible! That surgery scene was something else lmao, I didn't even realize the faces I was making😂
@@LoveLaurenn When I saw your face for the arm I immediately said to myself "Oh no, she still has one more to go" 😂 Cameron's attention to detail is on point. I remember reading years ago (I think from Arnold or Linda Hamilton, who played Sarah Connor) that he commands a lot from his actors but they respect it because the work really ends up paying off huge.
I have only recently started to watch movie reactions, so I am very late to this one of yours, but I have to say that it has been one of the best I have seen. Your genuine reactions are just lovely to watch. Like someone else commented, it almost seems like I am watching this film again for the first time. ^^
I always find it funny when people born after 2000 see really good films for the first time that still use real special effects. And then shout "Oh my God". They know nothing but CGI. And then they want to tell you that they've never heard of Terminator 1&2 and then they pretend to be totally amazed.
Just wait what James Cameron has in store for you in Terminator 2 - Judgment Day! There are some people who prefer the original for it's cleverly cyclical story and slasher horror overtones, but T2 is commonly considered one of the best sequels and also, one of the best action movies ever made! And like Cameron's Avatar, it also pushed FX technology forward. For T2, I highly recommend Special Edition. Not the Theatrical Cut, which is considerably shorter, with less character development, but perhaps in some ways more impactful as a more straightforward action movie. Special Edition lets the characters have more interaction, deals with heavier themes, but also, has more room for levity and humor, plus a lot more backstory and some more additions to Terminator mythos. I also don't recommend the Extented Edition, as it has the originally intended ending restored, an ending almost no-one likes, including Cameron himself, who replaced it. Sure, it certainly is a happy ending, but perhaps a little too much, coming across as schmaltzy, contrived and tacked on. It seems out of place, even. I'd much rather just watch that ending separately on UA-cam, or as a Blu-ray or DVD extra. As for the later sequels, I don't recommend them as much. I kind of like some aspects on them, but they're all inferior to the first two. After decades, Cameron got the Terminator IP rights to himself and he produced Terminator: Dark Fate, but to me, and a lot of fans, it was a slap in the face. No matter how much action or humor it had, to me it managed what no other movie in the franchise had done, to make the first two movies meaningless. In my head canon, Dark Fate does not exist. To me, it's a Terminator franchise version of a "What If.?“ story (reference to Marvel comics line and the Disney+ show inspired by it). Watching Dark Fate, I felt I was grieving, not able to enjoy anything as I would normally enjoy, when watching a movie. It was also the first movie in the franchise not to turn a profit.

Hey Laurenn. I have to say, i loved your reaction when you just realised who the Terminator is, why he's there and Kyles involvement, your face was a joy to watch, lol! I also love your expression while the Terminator was removing his eye!, lol! I'm really glad you enjoy this and other 80's movies. It was such a great time for movies and it was a time when movie makers were really trying out new things, new ideas to create a more believable movie. While we often laugh at them now because we see the faults, they are what helped created the effects we see in movies today. If you want to see how it was made, you can find the making of it here on youtube! I really hope you watch the other Terminator movies too. They are much like Star Wars in that there will be some you might like while others not so much so but still worth checking out. The second one is definitely another good one so you can't go wrong there. Anyway, really enjoyed watching your reaction to this. Have seen a few of your other videos too and have enjoyed those.

Nice THX-1138 profile pic.
right! Thats why the dog barks at the terminator! He identified him as non human!
" He's a cold blooded killer! He's killing everyone!" Yeah, the movie is called _The Terminator_ for a reason...
There are a ton of little touches like this in this movie - they're subtle, but show up on re-watching. Really shows the level of thought and care that went into the film. Sadly, doesn't feel like we often get this kind of clever attention to detail in film anymore.
And in T2 with Max the german shepherd barking in the background too.

My thoughts too. He might have been one of the only survivors of the police station massacre thanks to that knock out.
He did.

The number of officers stated to be in the building by the desk srgt was 30.
If you count the officers gunned down and the bursts of fire from the T800 offscreen it adds up to 29.
30 minus the detective Kyle knocked out.

@@Tommy-xq5jw It probably didn't need to take the book, just scan and copy to memory
Over all theme of this franchise: the technology we create to make life better will ultimately end it.
Dun forget the voicemachine that allows Sarah to leave a message with the terminator there and able to hear he killed the wrong person.
It's like those sociopathic mass murderers who doesn't really feel anything but just kills because 'that is what they wanted to do'.

*eat my ass dark fate doesn't count idfc *
Technically not any more since they delayed judgements day in 2 because he is born in 2003 judgement day happens in 2004
I always got the sense that Kyle was in Connor's closest circle for a while because John had to make sure he'd be alive and ready.
very true John Conner knew the whole time Reese was his dad, and worked hard to protect reese while fighting to bring him to the past.
Sem a foto Reese não conseguiria chegar tão rápido até Sarah...
I love how he’s buying a weapon and asks for a phased plasma rifle at a 40 watt range 😂
And the gun shop guy doesn't even question it. Instead of 'WTF are you talking about, what is a plasma rifle?' he's just like 'if it's not on display I don't sell it'.
yeah, and the guy just takes his word for it "hey it's just what you see, pal", always gets me too 😂
Kyle mentioned that a lot of records were lost in the war.

Fun (Crazy)Fact: James Cameron originally wanted OJ Simpson to play the role of The Terminator but changed his mind saying "He's too much of a nice guy to play the role of a ruthless killer."😳🤦
Sylvester Stallone, Tom Selleck Lance Henriksen and Mel Gibson were considered for the role.
Sting, Kurt Russell, Michael O'Keefe, Treat Williams Christopher Reeve Scott Glenn, Matt Dillon and Bruce Springsteen were considered for Kyle Reese
Lea Thompson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jessica Harper, Melissa Sue Anderson, and Lisa Langolis were considered for Sarah Connor.
@@bulanet271 Well, initially terminator as a cyborg was suposed to be an infiltration unit,
that does not bring unnecessary attention to itself, therefore must look like an ordinary human.
It's strength is far beyond human though, so to confront such machine,
soldiers have to be as strong as possible, which is impossible without gaining muscle mass.
That was initial idea, but pretty soon it would become obvious that Arnold is not such a good actor
to play Kyle's part. Props to Arnold himself for recognizing his own limitations.
Thus, it was decided to give him terminator part, where there was almost nothing to play
and he looked more intimidating, which doesn't make much sense, but folks in the cinemas loved it amnyway)

T-2 --- If they had succeeded and Skynet never came to be, John would have vanished from existence leaving Sarah alone in the steel mill....
If they destroyed all traces of the terminators in the mill and they were originally created from their own remnants they couldn't have been created in the first place right? Maybe that explains why the T800 forgot his arm in the cog wheel
So as not to argue semantics, here is the way I look at it:
Cameron's choice for the film was that time travel be a closed loop.
"I did do the nasty in the pasty." - Philip J Fry, Futurama. Except that example is much, much worse.
He actually came up with this movie in a dream lol... or nightmare I guess.
@@ninjavigilante5311 After a terrible experience on Piranha 2: The Spawning (and getting fired from that directing job) he got sick and in a fever dream/nightmare he saw a "metal man" coming out of a fire towards him.

Animatronics head and that scene near the end when skeleton-terminator is rushing to the door. The screen and stop motion is too obvious

Cops weren't looking for Reese exactly: they were investigating the lighting-storm-teleport.

Kyle said that he often wondered what Sarah was thinking about in that picture. Well, she was thinking about him…❤️❤️❤️
Great reaction as always.
He says that as he walked out the door he said to his roommate, "I'm on my way to go pick a fight with Arnold Schwarzenegger."
They met, and he was surprised to learn that Arnold wanted the part of the terminator.
To be honest, besides running over the child's truck I would happily do all those other things if I had to
Truck returns with a vengance in T2 :P

Another fun detail is when Kyle tells Sarah he had an old picture of her, he never describes which picture of her it is. So she doesn't necessarily know that's the picture. All Kyle says is, he wondered what she was thinking in the moment the picture was taken. And she was thinking about him.
Arnold worked in a movie called “Maggie”, it worth a watch. Critics have said it’s one of his best performances.
When you think about it, this movie borrows a lot from John Carpenter’s Halloween
Absolutely agree
I never noticed how much sense it made from Sarah's perspective to call and leave a message, she was convinced that the person out to get her was already stalking her at the club.

(I.e. the janitor asking the terminator if he has a dead cat in his room...)
Other than that, that was a fun reaction, and big kudos to you for catching all the major story beats first time watching the movie! :D Now it's time for you to watch the second movie for sure, and I can't wait to see your reaction to it!

Arnie had great instincts. And agents don't know squat.
Hi Laurenn, great reaction. I've watched several (if not all already) of your reactions, and you were soooo into this one. It was really fun to watch. I suggest you watch Terminator 2: Judgment Day next, and then Terminator: Dark Fate. All three were done by James Cameron. I cannot express how excited I am for this reaction. LoveLaurenn has made my week much better. This movie is classic and essential for any sci-fi fan.
wehhhh I'm so glad that this video made your week better, that makes me happy to read that! This was an amazing movie, I'm ashamed I haven't seen it sooner😌Absolutely incredible!
@@LoveLaurenn you also have extreme artistic talent. Cannot wait for T2!
Side note: the name of the club where Sarah, Kyle and the Terminator first meet is called Tech Noir.
When we came crashing through in the car, my dad was like, “We’ll, he said he’d be back.”
There’s a deleted scene in the police station where Reese and Sarah come across the detective before they get out of the building. He apologizes to them for not listening and gives them his gun and car keys.
You have a Hellrpiest Grogu!!! ❤
Love T1 and T2. Part of what makes T1 so cool is the full 80s synth soundtrack, very atmospheric and also suspensful
Also one of the 3 Schwarzenegger films to also star the late Bill Paxton.
There's a lot more story to tell.
but there's no point going beyond T2 as they are just a waste of time
FUN FACT: Before Arnold was cast as the Terminator, Lance Henriksen got the part and director James Cameron already had artwork with him in the role.
So again:
1) original timeline that leads to Terminators but one ray of hope as a time machine is made and Kyle for an unknown reason goes back.
Laurenn's fantastic reactions perfectly captured the amazement we all had, when we first saw The Terminator, back in the day.
Calm down
This was a great reaction!!
I'm glad to hear you're watching Terminator 2!
Always have."
The guns and killer robots are just icing on the cake.
I crossed the world to be with the woman I loved
Hey Lauren.
Priceless reaction faces for this one. That's why you're the best! 😁
You recognized Bishop from Aliens, and Hicks.
🤣 Arnie murders at least five people already: "I feel like Arnold might be a bad guy in this movie..."
Maybe.
It's very rare that any big star will take a bad guy role; I have a special respect for the few that do.
@@LoveLaurenn When I saw your face for the arm I immediately said to myself "Oh no, she still has one more to go" 😂
Cameron's attention to detail is on point.
Terminator! Yes!... The sequel is even better than the first one!
I disagree. I think the first one is the best. Really because Arnie is so good at being robotic and unfeeling.
Absolute classic, they do not make em like this anymore, imagine watching this in the eighties as a teen, blew everyone away, my favorite movie ever, glad to c u react to it cuz i luv looking at u, you r absolutely beautiful and i luv your reactions, absolutely perfect and so real and passionate, as well as your choice of movies, keep em coming cuz u hav me hooked, i am such a fan, cant wait to c your T2 reaction, so so gorgeous Laureen, WOW
Have a fantastic day, take care hun.
Love the tattoos by the way.
Arnie in "Terminator": "I'll be back".
Arnie now: "Oh! My back!".
I love how you are just like my best friends who always ask a ton of questions and I have to keep saying, "keep watching, you will find out".
A ton of big hit movies came out in 1984. Ghost Busters, Gremlins, the Terminator, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Beverly Hills Cop, Splash, the Karate Kid, Purple Rain, Nightmare on Elm Street, Footloose, Conan the Destroyer, Romancing the Stone, 2010, the Last Starfighter, Police Academy, and Starman.
