    We actually have a calcium cleaner that I pour down our urinals with hot water and let me tell u it keeps my pipes so clean. When I took over my restaurant it was horrible. Now I stand by perfect scores and I maintain everything in my restaurant down to the plumbing thanks to your channel. Now the other locations spends lots on plumbing and unblocking lol I got a pressure washer and whip hose just from learning on ur channel. Big High five from me.

      Vinegar and baking soda would also work well to loosen or remove the buildup.

    For the sewage tank you can use a mixer instead of that large amount of water. You still have to use a little water and the sewage truck maybe doesn't have to come 2 times.

      The tanks is bigger than 3000 gallons so would still need the second load

      Glad you like them, plumbing and drainage is a little bit different but there are some jobs like urinals and sinks I don't understand why a standard plumber wouldn't invest in the tools to do the job as people tend to call a plumber before a drainage company., obviously its great for us when they can't do the jobs.
      they empty the portable tanks into a drain/ disposal point it looks a bit like a big toilet crossed with a sink with a flush. A bit like a hospital sluice.

    Help me to understand... a "plumber" came out but couldn't unclog it? I find it hard to understand that he didn't have the equipment to clear the drain, or he just didn't want to do the work so he just sold a trap to make the call profitable?? Wow...

    • @Keep_itflowing
      @Keep_itflowing  3 місяці тому

      Mad isn't it plumbing and drainage is closely linked but is actually a different thing I get plumbers not having jetters or the bigger machines but I don't get why they don't have the drill spring rod machines for sinks and urinals and a set of rods (obviously its great for us that they don't) tbh most plumbers I know are not to keep on the dirty side of plumbing

  • @porker5749
    @porker5749 3 місяці тому +2

    I find the differences in the plumbing practices in the UK, are in stark contrast to North America. The first is in the pronunciation of the word Urinal. We pronounce as it is spelled "Yur-in-al" While this guy pronounces in "Yur-ane-al" as well as "Yur-ine-al". Second I've never seen that type of trap before, we use P-traps. third our drains don't run so close to the surface. Ours go deep underground to a sewer that runs down the middle of the street. gravity really helps drains! As a handyman for 15 years I've only had to clear two blocked drains and both occurred in the P-trap, never down stream. Fourth...why in the hell are you still using the single tap faucet fixtures?! Whoever thought hose were a good idea needs their head examined! Last and this has nothing to do with drains is his pronunciation of words that end in "ther". Somehow these come out as "ver". Example..."Anover video". Sorry in a bad mood today. I'm not normally so nit picking!

    • @Keep_itflowing
      @Keep_itflowing  3 місяці тому +2

      It's weird isn't it the differences and yes gravity is definitely good for drainage to keep it running, My strong Bristolian accent probably doesn't help. Im not Sure why we still use the single ones in this country on some sites but not others. I think its just my accent 😂

    • @porker5749
      @porker5749 3 місяці тому +1

      @@Keep_itflowing Yeah accents are another funny thing aren't they?! I would have thought that many people scalding their hands under the hot water would have prompted a change, but I guess if you're used to those types of taps you don't stick your hand under the hot ones for too long!

    Great job on the urinals. You expertly did what the first plumber could not. He didn’t even open the manhole evidenced by the cobwebs and dirty channels. I hope this customer remembers next time to call you first!👍😀
    Btw makes sense to jeep the cable spinning as you remove it just to catch anything that might have been missed going in.

    Is there any reason you don't put a strong acid down the urinals? is it the amount of time, price or UK regulations? I would think especially on a blockage it would do a good job?

    • @Keep_itflowing
      @Keep_itflowing  3 місяці тому +1

      insurance reasons at training and all the health and safety stuff that comes with it, from what iv been told its easier not to. Also if you have a blockage thats far down a pipe the water/ urinal liquids would dilute it or if it was partially blocked it would flow past it and miss bits.
