I heard the n54 has turbo issues and they look like a pain to replace, but with every bmw I’m sure if you keep up with preventative maintenance (I imagine you do) that they’re fun to drive especially with the n54 with all that low down torque. I’ve always thought the 1 series is more 3 series than the e9x chassis at least to me.

That’s what happens when you skip out on the important stuff like seals, water pump, injectors and hpfp. I own 2 of them e92 is FBO with 493hp E90 is built with 763hp nether have any problems

I own a 128i & a 135is. BMWs from this time are unreliable but extraordinarily powerful. If you are unable to work on it yourself I wouldn’t get it.
