  • I've bee pretty hesitant on whether I should talk about this on my channel, but after some thought, I knew that speaking up and using my platform would be my part in being less shitty. All ad revenue generated from this video for the month of June will be donated to blacklivesmatt...

Hey everyone, I've addressed it on Instagram but thought I should mention it here. This video has been set on limited ads on by UA-cam due to "Sensitive Material" and thus has only generated $1.16 thus far. I will continue to look for other ways I can support the movement by speaking up and using my platform. Thank you all for understanding ❤️

    Female Black American here
Honestly, when I saw this video was 3mins I was like "ugh he's just doing it for clout or to stop getting harassed for not saying anything"
But your words were very well said & explained the meat & potatoes of the current social situation without having to put in fillers for the sake of having to make this 10mins long to look like you care. Thank you so much

@@user-mw7qs3nt8p why don't you ask one of your black friends instead of seeking out strangers in the comments of youtube videos? it comes across as insincere to take up some of the air on social media to put the onus on someone to explain things to you that you don't understand. Read a book, educate yourself, talk to your friends, explore perceptions and fallacies within your own spaces before you start going into social media asking others to do it for you. The resources are there, you only have to seek them.

And it’s okay to speak up, without any hesitation or worrying about what other people think. I've noticed many popular creators have stayed silent simply because "they're not black" or "they don't live in the US" when in reality this is a worldwide problem that stems from centuries and centuries of oppression. Black American here,
I want to thank you for making this video, also Cutts clothing is the bomb, and thank you for showing me it.
On the topic at hand, this murder was wrong and that's saying it lightly.
As a black individual, I am constantly looking over my shoulder for anyone and everyone because it's just in our bones, it's how we were and have been treated that have made us fearful.
There is a lot that attributes to the things we see and black culture and how it and were as a society, but to say that these constant killings don't play one of the biggest factors is just plain ignorant.
I live a rather sheltered life, but with that being said I still have a bad experience with the cops solely based on the color of my asking and that just isn't right.
I do not fully believe this is the right way to go about getting change but I must simply ask you a question,
What would you have had us done instead?
because all the peacefulness never got us anywhere

One of the things that really put me off the zero/low waste movement was the singular white prominent voice that promoted the movement towards the wellbeing of the environment first and lastly (If ever) for the fair treatment of people. You're right, we all have a voice and no matter how big our audience might be, we should always speak out.

Thank you so much for making this video. As a First Nations person, I can tell you from first hand experience that leaving the house for a lot of us is very much a gamble. We are constantly treated like crap and when we stand up for our rights, especially treaty rights, we are instantly faced with police. Canada was built for White men. We need to make more people aware of this, so thank you so much.

At a tnt parking lot in my city, a elderly Asian man came up to us knocked on our window and said “I know with everything going on you probably don’t want to help me, but my car won’t start” literately my heart sank. That’s when it became real to me. After helping him boost his car, we learned he was broke down for two hours and asked several people and no one helped him. 💔

Every country has racism and it sucks. But I totally agree we all have to do our part. I almost hope there is a time we all just melt together and look the same. But then there will just be some other new issue. I do feel like as the US gets less religious things get better for black, lgbtq+ etc. But still have a long way to go.

Canada DEFINITELY has a racism problem. I'm Asian American who has traveled to Canada. I remember landing in Canada and going through Customs and being pulled out of line to be questioned. My friend, also Asian, was pulled out. Then I looked around and realized everyone else pulled aside was also Asian. There's a huge problem of anti-Asian racism in Canada that people don't want to acknowledge.

Hi Joe, this was a good video, and I was glad to see you post it. My heart hurts for the family of George Floyd, May he Rest In Peace.
I do believe everyone has the right to protest, but what hurts is seeing all the destruction and looting, and people getting hurt. Looting is stealing, and many of these store owners are left with no merchandise and a storefront destroyed.these very store owners, are probably just as devastated about George Floyd, my God a person would have to be heartless not to be devastated what happened to this poor man
I am going to tell you that I am married to a retired NYPD police officer, when my husband was walking his beat one night 12 midnight shift, because he was a police officer a brick was thrown at him from a roof because he was a white COP, or so they said when the brick was thrown , so there unfortunately is racism
This was in the late 60’s early 70s when there where many protests, Vietnam war, racism etc... and many riots. He was spit on at demonstrations, called PIG, and yet my husband helped all races when they were in need of help. He gave money to strangers on the street that were homeless, he bought meals for people that were hungry, it didn’t matter what race they were, so what upsets me, is seeing all the police officers risking their lives, being in harms way because of this bad apple of a police officer, trust me “No one hates a bad police officer more then a Good one”
I watched Washington DC last night, and saw so many of the Police Officers and people right up to their face screaming at them, cursing them
Everyone should be allowed to exercise their right to speak their mind, people should also remember that there are many Police officers that care and protect&
