i would love to see a bookshelf tour or book collection to see your stash, it’s always so fascinating to see the types of books that people have in their homes :)
I'd recommend pachinko to you, it follows a korean family over several generations as they move to japan. I dont want to say too much but it's really wonderful.
I really liked the ending of conversations with friends. It re-enforced that Frances was a flawed character and I found it realistic. Lots of people make mistakes in their youth driven by impulsive behaviour.
Totally agree about having the perfect coffee cups 👌 I've recently bought a set of bodum double walled cups, keeps my flat white warm for ages! Rather sleek too, definitely recommend
I have the Sage Barista and it has 100% repaid itself. I recommend Lost Sheep Coffee. Their beans are in recyclable packaging and the Get to the Hopper blend is excellent. They were the first coffee company to do 100% recyclable coffee pods for machines too. 5stars!
comment for algorithm, to all the people that can not attend protests or donate, you are doing your part by watching this video and all the ads :) thank you
I loved the ending of CWFs. It felt raw and real to me, rather than just going down a route we'd all probably like because it's cleaner. I'm not gonna lie, I had a little cry at the end!
I am loving Tolerine ultra nuit. I normally use Avene tolerance emulsion but it not available here in Australia. I also went through a stage of having spots on my temples. I put in down to weather ( heat) and wearing glasses/ sun glasses😃
Yes, the ending of CwFs. I was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I wasn’t sure if I was mad at Frances or if I was mad at Rooney for writing the ending like that.
You can buy actual barista almond milk but it is a little more expensive. I use coconut milk with my coffee because then I don’t have add extra sweetener I’ve been thinking about getting a coffee maker for my home but I think I may need more counter space. ❤️
Kimberly campos have a look at the Sage Bambino Plus Machine. Doesn’t come with a grinder but you could use pre-ground coffee and pressurised baskets. Or get a separate grinder, you can get some small grinders
I listened to The Dutch House on Audible and LOVED it! They had Tom Hanks as the narrator, which was super random but very great. Also, if you haven't read Commonwealth by Ann Patchett, I recommend it! It's similar in the generational way and also really good.
Totally with you on the coffee machine. I have the De'Longhi Autentica and it's the best thing I've ever bought. Making a espresso fresh from beans every morning means I guarantee at least one moment of sheer joy even if the rest of the day then goes downhill 😆
Would LOVE to hear your thoughts on the new Charlotte Tilbury bronzer as I know its the same formulation of the flawless finish powder you love so much. I've had a little look online but the fairest one, which I would usually just order because I am casper, looks SO light?? Anyway hope you give it a go on your channel. Hope you had a good month all things considered x
Omg I love Kristen Ess shampoo and conditioner , the smell lasts for ages in my hair and really smooths it and you're the first UA-camr I've seen mention her line xx
I enjoyed watching your favorite may .your books recommendation look good for my leisure time. U have some self development books out of your list to recommend too.
I recommended the Thank You Farmer on your last video!! Caroline Hirons loves it too x other people may have done too but I like to think it was just me!
Love the video!🥰 I'm trying to put off watching Normal People until I've read the books! But I do talk about some of the books I've read recently in my May Favourites video, if you wanted to check it out! 😊
I do think that watching the Normal People show first might be a different experience but my bookclub read it first and strongly disliked this book. I think there’s a softness and more empathetic perspective of the characters in film. It’s also sometimes just nice to watch film technique of sadness, so I think my perspective of the plot would have interpreted it as more “romantic” in film. However, written out first, we could not stand the characters. They are real, which I usually enjoy even if things are sad, but we found this book so difficult to get through. Watching the show now still frustrates me at how romantic music makes you ignore the toxic elements of a relationship. I also Dutch House in another bookclub and really liked it. It’s doesn’t get into the character’s perspective as deep as I would have liked, but I saw this as almost an adult fairytale. I also love old homes, and the “main character” in this book is their Dutch house which I found unique! I know everyone’s book choices are different but I just thought I’d offer our bookclubs’ view on these reads!
Saw this list in another donation video. Anyone know if these are all 100% necessary to give the donation? Want to be as efficient as possible. 1. Do NOT put this on loop or repeat once it's done. UA-cam will see it as s / p / 4 / m and won't show you ads. 2. Watch it through once. Then, watch 3 to 5 videos after of any length. Then, research this video manually and watch it through again. Make sure to watch different videos every time. 3. Do NOT watch in a playlist or a browser app. Use the youtube app. 4. Turn off ad block or youtube premium (you can make a new account or use an incognito tab) 5. Watch on at least 480p and at at least half volume. Do NOT pause or fast forward the video. 6. Watch through videos and do NOT skip them. You can click on ads as well! 7. Comment and like this video - it will tell UA-cam this is something people like. Be careful with your wording, though, and avoid emojis 8. Do not clear playback or search history 9. Share this on social media! Spread the word!
Does anyone else’s lip oil/mask last the whole night so you can feel it the next morning?! If they do I’m definitely using the wrong ones as mine are long gone by morning! Can someone please recommend one if they are lasting that long? Mind blown 😂 x
I really enjoyed your part about the books! I have saved them all in my list and will buy them when I finish the ones at home :) I have recently created my UA-cam channel and would absolutely love if you could check it out 😊
Ok I’m literally the FIRST person to love beauty, luxury etc but I’m gonna be honest that ANYONE still posting “business as usual” right now in light of what’s going on is someone I can no longer support. Even if this was pre filmed you could have addressed things in the Downbar. If those of us who aren’t affected by BLM just avoid it, things will never get better. Nothing personal, I’m unsubscribing to everyone who posts videos without addressing it today, and I hope everyone reading this is only consuming content that reflects your own values, whatever those may be. I respect that many will disagree with me and I support your right to freedom of speech so please support mine.
There are always atrocities going on. Did anyone stop posting because of how people in Palestine are treated? For the Ouigur in China? For the civil wars in some African countries, which involve child-soldiers, gang rape and torture? For Venezuela? For the lack of human rights in China? Did people stop buying fast fashion despite the horrible conditions the workers live and DIE in, & the fact that is directly affects us all because we all buy from them and therefore perpetuate their conditions for things we often don't need? No, none of it? Then you can't support anyone. You're being highly hypocritical. Especially, I might add, since Alix is not avoiding, people can actually do more than one thing in life.
I would go and look at her Instagram because she did address the issue yesterday. Not posting about the issue absolutely everywhere isn't necessarily avoiding it, especially since she probably pre-filmed and pre-scheduled this to post, but also because it's a video about her beauty and book favorites? If I was filming myself cooking a recipe or teaching my dog a new trick, am I really obligated to speak on a political issue in that same video? She may speak on it in an upcoming video. Also not attacking you here, just aiming to have a dialogue about the issue. It may look like I don't care, but BLM is a very important issue to me and has affected many people, including my local community, where unfortunately yesterday the police turned violent against groups of innocent protestors and bystanders. The videos broke my heart. Not sure where you're from, I'm from the West Coast of the United States.
@@dianarusnov292 Hi, first of all, I appreciate all viewpoints and I know you were not trying to attack me :) One thing I want to say is that I respectfully disagree with the idea that it is not necessary to post across all platforms. As Caroline Hirons said in a recent video, its not enough to post insta stories, as an influencer you have to actually take a stand, post on your main grid and on your main platforms. I don't follow her on Instagram as I am sure many others do not, and I'd appreciate a statement on this platform too. Also, a lot of beauty influencers are continuing to post videos but at least posting some links to the cause in the down bar and putting a statement there. We are beyond the point of choosing not to speak about things, silence is complicity at this point. Also, I don't think this is a "political" issue as you claim, I think it is a moral issue. However I really appreciate what you said about how you want to open a dialogue, I want to continue that dialogue, I want to hear your view point and any others. I appreciate you expressing your view in a respectful and non-aggressive manner. Also I am so sorry to hear your community has been affected by the violence, I hope you and your loved ones are OK. I am from Canada and have less experience with this but am watching your country in horror and praying for your citizens.
i would love to see a bookshelf tour or book collection to see your stash, it’s always so fascinating to see the types of books that people have in their homes :)
Girlllllll your hair is getting so long and I am here for it!!!! You look beautiful x
I love love love watching your videos! You are just so calming and it feels like I’m having a normal conversation with you!!🥰
I'd recommend pachinko to you, it follows a korean family over several generations as they move to japan. I dont want to say too much but it's really wonderful.
I really liked the ending of conversations with friends. It re-enforced that Frances was a flawed character and I found it realistic. Lots of people make mistakes in their youth driven by impulsive behaviour.

Just Glossier Stretch Concealer 💛

You Pavlov’d yourself with the lavender pillow spray 😂❤️
Hayley-Ann Jakubowski hahahaha omg I need to try it! 😂
She can pass as Drew Barrymore's twin!!!!
A very soothing video, so simple yet meaningful. Small routines and hobbies that enrich one's life like self care, reading..💞👍

Where did you get the vase and plant in the background?! Super cute!
If you like Ann Patchett, I highly recommend Commonwealth by her! I am about to read The Dutch House. Love your book reviews! :)
I have to say you look stunning! Natural and understated!!
Decaf homies 💪 best part with a coffee machine you can mix caffeinated and decaf to make a half caff!
Kirsten Arndt That’s still caffeinated though, right?
Your makeup looks super pretty in this video!
Agreed, decaf coffee is real coffee!
My may favourites consist of:
YOUR YT CHANNEL
Watching this while covering my bed with new fabric which you influenced me on 😍
We like a lot of the same books and I think you would love Writers & Lovers by Lily King! It’s my favorite I’ve read this year so far.
Please, do a tutorial with this look, it's so beautiful!
I thought the ending of conversations with friends was perfect. Very much in line with the characters.
You should watch Anne with an E on Netflix! It’s great! Just started reading the books now as I want to know what happens next x
Been tempted by The Dutch House but the thought of Tom Hanks reading it on audible is probably more tempting!!
Angela Bates I so recommend! I am a huge reader but I have the hardest time keeping focused on audiobooks, but he kept me so invested.
@@daniellea1044 Agreed, the audiobook is great!
your hair is perfect period
I enjoyed watching your favorite may .your books recommendation look good for my leisure time. U have some self development books out of your list to recommend too.
I can't wait to try the Jo Malone pillow mist!

I loved The Dutch House. Also, you’re glowing!
I recommended the Thank You Farmer on your last video!! Caroline Hirons loves it too x other people may have done too but I like to think it was just me!
Just wondering, did you dye the blonde parts of your hair darker or have you just let your hair grow out? ❤️
I did exactly the same with Normal People, finished watching at 5am and had to work at 9am. It was worth it though. xx
