I don't have a magic mug, but I recycle the clear, clamshell boxes that fruits and veggies come in. I can see my colored scraps and get inspired! And it keeps some plastic out of the landfill.
You’re never boring, Laurel! You’re just color coordinated.
Hi Laurel, LOVE the bulk stamping of sentiments, fabulous idea. Also, like how you don’t “waffle on”, flash your nails, rings etc, like some people do, love how you get straight to it, and the videos are so useful. I am wringing this while in lockdown, in Dee Why Beach, Sydney, Australia. Stay Safe.
Thanks so much Selma. I appreciate that!
Good reminders! I have done these before, but don’t always remember. Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for the inspiration! I love black too❤️
Thanks for the tips😁. I will definitely use especially cutting the sentiment strips.
I also like black and white it’s very crisp and you can add any colour to it. 😊
Mrs Rimell me too. I think it looks so modern and elegant 🤓
Thanks!
Fantastic tips. Love the idea of having a few hours to create words, card bases and other card elements. Tfs
These are really smart ideas that I must incorporate. Tks🙂
Great tips! Black and white is a classic go to for me as well!
I love your design. I too use the fiskers cutter, I just replaced the cutting blade which comes in a pack of 2.
I love having things made in advance. Great video and great tips!
Thanks for watching!
I love the tips and will definitely use it in future!
Love doing stuff ahead too! Love black on most all my cards! You are fun! ❣️❣️🖤🖤
wOW.... I loved every single tip.... Thanks for sharing and congratulations!
Thanks SO MUCH for sharing your tips! So helpful.
Oh thank you so much for your tips. It has really helped.
Greattime savers, Laurel! Thanks for sharing!!!
Love watching you videos Laurel! Thanks!
I like the magical cup. Plus you said when you sit....I don't see you sitting watching tv very long. Great tips.
These are great tips so happy I found your today first time watching you but I really loved your video I will have to catch others too. Thanks
Your arsenal of fabulousness. The name for your mug.
I do several of these. My simple strips go into a little square plastic container. I have another container for larger sentiments. I have several steel rule dies that I love putting sentiments on.
I NEVER thought of stamping on the rest of the paper when I am doing simple strips. Thank you!
You watercolor cards are beautiful!
Mass production is fun! Thank you for inspiring me. I need to do 20 or so "postcard style" uplifting pieces for a friend.
So glad I found your channel! I love the short cuts. I also really appreciate that you talk about the ideas right away and get busy! Great dialogue, too.
Thank you so much Brenda!
Brenda, I so agree with your statement.
Love these ideas! All of them.
I have a long clunky plastic serving type dish I throw my cut outs and sentiments into, I like the idea of a cup much better, fantastic time saving ideas. Your the woman, Tfs, Blessings
Easy, peasy, pumpkin weasey....lol!!! LOVE that. Laurel, this is a FABULOUS video! I do so many of these things myself....Brilliant video. 😍😘🎨
Lololol. Hahahahhahahaha has.
Love your video and your "Senti-cup", how 'bout that, lol!
Just found you yesterday I think and subscribed. I do this same thing and put them in small clear zip bags that Joanns sells, others too.
If they are for a particular paper pad or kit, I put that small bag into a large plastic Envelope that snap closes and I put everything else that goes with it in the envelope too, dies, stamp sets, Embellishments, paper, etc. If a 12 x 12 goes with it, then I store it with the envelope, the env. is larger than 8.5 x 11 (Amazon). It makes it super easy to find, once I'm down to just stamps & dies, I put them in regular storage for those items.
Happy Crafting, be safe.
Thanks for your tips.
If you score your cardstock first, then cut in half, you will save time. Love that sentiment die, genius. Your alcohol ink backgrounds are really nice.
Fabulous tips! I’m doing paper crafting again because of the lock down, and enjoying it again. I’ve subscribed. Thank you. Looking forward to the next video. 👍😃
Thanks for subbing and watching Borley.
As always you have added joy to my morning. Thanks for the tips~~~
This is my first time seeing you. Thanks so much for the great quick trips. I subscribed and look forward to more videos.
Thanks for subbing and watching natalie!
Thanks for all the ideas 💡. Brilliant. Will definitely start doing it.
Wonderful!
Fabulous ideas, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for all the wonderful tips. I love your channel. 🤗🤗
Love all your tips! Your Magic Cup must be HUGE!
great tips. quickening the little things gives more time to create!
So true!
I love your videos. so many great ideas. I do love to mass produce ie cutting up a bunch of cardstocks at once, then fold a bunch at once, then card fronts cut and ready, then bling ready to go. You helped with ideas for that. so if I suddenly need a card or two unexpectedly I can make them in just a minute or two. Thanks for the ideas.
I have a box with every month divided. behind it i have cards with each persons date, name, address, occasion, etc. ready to go. When I make my cards (of which I have a box of extras for all occasions to chose from) I drop them behind each name for every month. I usually have the whole year filled and still a years worth of cards waiting to get used.
Great video. I do some of these especially twofers. When I make cards, I score the full sheet then cut. That way I only need to score one piece of card stock. Saves on handling. Stay safe.
Good idea
You are such a "HOOT" to watch and listen to...and a talented artist as well. I love that kind of 'fly by your pants' attitude where if things don't always go as planned, it's ok and no worries. Happy to have found your channel and subscribed to. Can't wait to see all those videos. Keep up the good work!! and take care.
I LOVE the Taylor Expressions sentiment stamps and coordinating dies, wanna talk about easy peasy and a time saver!
A great way of using up your 12x12 papers is by using the slimline card or envelope dies, which is brilliant... especially since I hoard that paper! 😳🤣
YES YES!!!!
New to your channel and I am loving your techniques. I love the plaid background stamp. Thanks for sharing the link to purchase it. Be blessed.
Thx 4 these great tip, i guess i use most of them already, but always good to watch again, i never know what else i can learn. And.. I must say: Beautiful watercolor backgrounds👍
Love the magic cup idea
Great ideas! I make card bases ahead of time, but not sentiments. I need to try that!
Great tips! I am off to make cards! Thank you.
All great tips and hacks! And you are soooo funny!
Absolutely fantastic ideas to get ahead a little bit for the different seasons. Now there’s an idea. Make a stash of each of the four seasons. I make a lot of Sympathy cards so I try and get a stash of those built up. (I also give them to my daughters to send out )
You have so many amazing ideas coming out of that brain of yours! Love it!!!
Also I too use a lot of black and white cards. I love black and white. I even dress in a lot of black and white...so classic. Great ideas!!!
Thanks so much Dottie!
Super idea! Thank you.
Not boring at all! It's a perfect contrast to every bright color!! Oh and you are also wearing a white and black striped shirt!! Lol!! Great tips!!
HAHAHA! Didn't even notice that. lol!
You are too funnie! Love all your little phrases and the joy you exude while teaching us tips! I think you should call your mug 'the magic mystery mug" because you never know what you will get but what you get will be good! Enjoyed your video!
Hahaha :)
Your video was super fun, funny and helpful! Thank you for sharing! I’m a subscriber now ❤️
Thanks for subbing and for commenting. Welcome!
Love your tips. I have done alittle of all, I have plastic containers that is divided into a bunch of spaces. I have die cut a bunch of things and everything in a place. If I put die cuts into a magic cup, I'd have to do magic to put them together cause I'd rip them. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to do some more of these tips, especially when I start doing Christmas cards. Have a great day.
Wow, these are most certainly epic ideas and I will be implementing many if not all of these! Thank you so much, am very impressed 👍⭐️🏆
You are so welcome!
Easy Peasy Lemon Sweezy I think it what you were thinking hehe. Love your tips. I'm always learning something new watching vids like this even after 15 yrs of crafting

Love your Cup of Joy! This video was like a solid motivational presentation. Peppy, to the point, and fun! I'm in...I'm definitely going to hammer out those Mother's Day cards this week!!! Thank you! 😍 #howdonnagothergrooveback
Thanks so much!!! :)
Great ideas. Thanks for sharing
So many great tips.
I do the mass production of card bases too.. lol, and a stash of left over die cuts in various boxes and totes, I will add a magic receptacle of some sort to bring these "lost" pieces back into the rotation... out of sight is definitely out of mind... lol
Nice to see you again. I use all of these tricks and I love the "Magic Cup" of sentiments/Dies. :-) Unfortunately - I have a few magic cups around my craft room.
HAHAHAH! Get one big HUGE mug! Or several.
Cups that become small baskets that become large baskets etc haha. Yup.
Great ideas, I ordered the simple strips stamps and die.
“A cup to Die 4 😉 great tips Laurel 👏🏼
Hahahahaha. Love it!
Wow!
Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing your videos
Great ideas simple to do dont know why i didn't think of theses
Glad it was helpful!
Wow great ideas, thanks.
I've done the bulk card base creating trick for a long time now. It's a good activity when I'm too depressed to craft, but I'm not so depressed that all I can bring myself to do is sort junk mail. Yes, sorting junk mail (into trash, recycling, & shred piles) is a thing for me! LOL Love these tips--you picked some great ones. Hope y'all are doing well and staying sane in this crazy time. Take care, & have a fantastic day! :)
Thansk for popping in Andrea!
What a fun sight loved the info lots of fun. Denver Co.
Was never happy with how my white embossed sentiments looked. Never thought of using white ink pad instead of clear pad. Genius!
:). White pigment ink works great indeed!!
I love using a closely matching pigment ink under embossing powder, it adds a little oomph.
I am so very glad I've recently subscribed to your channel. I love your videos! I'm also happy to have hit the "bell" so your new videos pop up immediately. :-) These tips are all wonderful. I do make sentiment strips ahead of time and have them in a little container. Only thing I've decided to do is that I can't keep buying all these sentiment stamps. I own a Cricut die cut machine and a Big Shot. I've started making up word "strips" in my Microsoft Word. That way, I can use ANY font I want and ANY sentiment I want. Occasionally, I'll come across a sentiment I love...on a stamp that I really am not crazy about. I'll just type up the words in that sentiment...sometimes in different fonts and sizes...and print them out on cardstock...cut them up...and voila! I have lots and lots of my very favorite sentiments. Of course...I can't print them out on black cardstock...however...if I use my Cricut...I can slip a pen (bright, white or metallic) into the slot...print them and cut them out. I print out my sentiments from Word on white cardstock and I could use any color I choose for the font. Also...if I use my Brother printer that uses toner, I can use a foil on top of the words because it adheres to the toner print. Honestly...I've come across some wonderful sentiments that I love to use: You make my heart smile...Your smile is always in style...I'm thinking of you today...Praying you feel better soon. And I love that I can make them any size or font that I choose! Just sharing my hack here. I'll be filing your video in my YT files for future reference. I actually have a "Laurel Beard" file now! Thanks for your excellent videos. I'll be playing "catch up" during this virus thingy.
Awe what great ideas you have. I have some awesome fonts on my computer I can use. I think I’ll do that. I have a cricut too but I don’t want to pay for fonts!!!! Lol. Thanks for subbing and ringing that bell. And creating a laurel folder. This comment made my day.
@@LaurelBeard Actually...as far as fonts on your Cricut...If you have the fonts on your computer or in Microsoft Word...they will ALL show up in your Design Space. You don't have to pay for them. I am a member of Makers Gonna Learn...and being a member, downloaded about 125 fonts onto my computer. They all show up in Word and Design Space. I watched a couple more of your videos here...just because...and love them so much. I've gotta a new favorite besides my Jennifer McGuire!
I love the magic cup idea.... off to the craftroom I go.
Yay!
I got a kick out of this. I had already done the sentiment idea and cut, scored and folded about a hundred cards so I am already when the creativity bug hits. I also embossed a bunch of backgrounds, since when I cleaned my craft drawers I found a bunch of embossing folders that had been collecting dust. I just embossed a bunch of them in white and can use them that way or add ink to them later. I am trying to use up paper pads that I have collected over the years, so these techniques are great for that. Stay safe and keep crafting.
Brilliant!!!
I do this sort of thing when I'm feeling creatively dry, but still want to paper craft. It helps me feel creative, without the pressure of producing a finished project.
kmcorby that’s funny because I do the same exact thing. I don’t want to feel pressured into being creative so I will prep for the time when my creative juices are flowing
@@kiminalaska9363 ditto here - some days I just want to relax and be in my craft room.. not making full cards but prepping for them... thank you for the awesome video
I love these tips - Thank You! Gotta start a "Wonder Mug" of my very own. Maybe I'll also make a "Posh Pocket" to stash cut outs - hmm? 🤔
Love those names!
Love you tips!
Very informative. Thankyou.
Super tips Laurel. Take care, stay safe.
Thanks!
Awesome, Subscribed,Thank you xx😁🧡
I try to be this organized. Some day... For now, these are great tips. I actually created many card bases a couple of weeks ago. Pre-made sentiments are genius. Another some day... 😉
Lol. We have lots of some days don’t we.
