Laurel, I just went back through older videos for some inspiration and got such a chuckle our of your 'house arrest' comment...'I am no a criminal', hopefully we never have to go through any type of long time quarantine again, but if we do I will watch your videos to get wonderful crafting ideas and to smile. Love the cards you made and now I am off to create.
I just love your videos. I have tons of craft items that were given to me by others. I have no clue how to use many of them. I just recently found you and I now no what to do with many on these items!!
Just recently discovered your channel and so far am LOVING it. Enjoy your way of teaching, your sense of humor, and how fun it is to watch and learn. Thanks bunches.
Love the snow effect - never thought of doing that or the balloon look or mixing up multiple embossing colors/sizes or the double shifting or how to mess things up on purpose so I can fix them . . . I guess it's true magic occurs when you least expect it! Thanks for all the great fun ideas.
Thank you, Laurel. I can't remember the last time I used my white inkpad. You brought it front and centre for me with these incredible cards. I'm loving the results, particularly the iris cards. ❤️🇨🇦❤️
This is the first time I've seen your channel and I definitely subscribed, I hope. Love, love your techniques and I hope to see more of you in the near future.
Hi, Thank you I love your channel I like the fact you don't waffle before you start the tutorial I will try the techniques. Your cards look great! I just subbed.
Penny Black are one of my all time favorites. If you haven't tried (but I'm probably sure that you have) use preferably a floral cling PB stamp & color using water based markers (I like to use Tombow) and after you finish coloring, don't remove anything from your misti, then, wipe excess ink from your stamp and go over it with Versamark and then clear emboss it. ... After it's been heated, you're able to go back and do background washes with water colors, distress, etc... I'm not explaining this perfectly I'm sure since it's the middle of the night but a bunch of PB members team members have these videos out. It's one of my all time favorite techniques especially with PB cling stamps like you used w/ your first card!!💕💕 I'm sure I'm not explaining anything you don't already know LOL! I love your videos and love one of the last ones you did where you were shifting card stock. Absolutely amazing. You are so funny and positive in your tutorials. You would be a first you-tuber that I would love to spend an entire day crafting with 💕💕. Thanks for another perfect video!
SNOW?? 😳 Gurl, we’ve had our a/c on for weeks, it’s already in the upper 80s/90s here in Austin, Texas, and I LOVE IT! Great techniques too Laurel, I often forget about my white pigment ink, it’s gorgeous on colored card stock. Your card panel with the multicolored, transparent embossing powders is gorgeous, will have to try that, love it! “House arrest”, I feel the same, hopefully in the next week our state parks and beaches will open back up. As soon as it happens we’re busting out of “jail” and heading straight to Padre Island, finding a desolate/deserted spot (with no one around for miles and miles), pitching our tents and camping under the stars for a couple of days with our kids... roughing it! ❤️
You crack me up! 😂😂😂 Always good medicine to watch/listen to you. Time to dust off the white pigment ink, haven’t got that out for ages. TFS ❤️ from 🇦🇺
I don’t make cards but do art journaling and can definitely use these techniques. You are a great instructor! I recently got out my white pigment ink and made bubbles using the bokeh technique. Thanks so very much from a new subscriber!
go to the video where I make over 20 backgrounds without a stamp! That one $7 tool will help you make soooo many thinks. And just get some ink from your local craft store.
So pretty! Great ideas! I chuckled at your house arrest phrase. I was a SPED teacher for 27 years. Occasionally, I had a student who had “earned” a full day (or three) in the resource room. When that happened, I’d email my classroom teachers with “jail is where I am” to let them know that they wouldn’t be seeing me that day. You can either laugh or cry. You might as well laugh!
😃😃😃 thanks for the fun and laughs, and the stunning techniques! Lovely cards!! Happy weekend Laurel! And I enjoyed hanging out with you over at CP and Erika. That was a ton of laughs 😂😂
I love that “move it a lot” stamp. I’ve tried a couple different white pigment inks that I did NOT like. I’ll have to try this ink next time I order from scrapbook dot com. The balloons remind me of jellybeans (I’m not sure why; maybe I need jellybeans).
great magic tips. truly I love finding the magic on my table and in my stash following your tips! Saving this video for times when draw a blank on a fix need. House arrest... you must be listening to kids feeling bored! Get on the Skills shared site if you need a way to get out without going out! Loving that site. thanks
“Under house arrest.” --LOL 😷😊 Yes, I have been surfing UA-cam and I found your channel. Your voice sounds like you are having so much fun! I love making cards and and sending them to my friends and family. I truly appreciate your tips on how to use my white pigment ink. My favorite card you made was the multilayered balloons one. I never thought of putting white over an image to make it appear translucent. Wow! That is a great idea! Could you please share how you effectively get the white pigment ink off your stamps? I have found it very difficult to get off. Is there a trick to cleaning?
I have noticed that white tends to settle in crevasses. Try swiping your stamp with alcohol after using white. I use an alcohol wipe and follow it with water.
Your videos are very informative. I must say I found them hard to watch because of the fast speed of your videos and bringing the projects up to the camera so quickly ... it gave me a headache. A little slower would be better in my opinion.
forte as a skill or talent is pronounced fort. "fortay" (forté) is "loud," and the opposite of piano "soft", as in the formal name of that keyboard instrument, pianoforté.
Laurel, I just went back through older videos for some inspiration and got such a chuckle our of your 'house arrest' comment...'I am no a criminal', hopefully we never have to go through any type of long time quarantine again, but if we do I will watch your videos to get wonderful crafting ideas and to smile. What t will do with the medallion card is put a bunch of seed pearls in the middle. You are one of my new favorite instructors!
Awe, thanks Dotti!
I love the technique where you shift the card stock over a bit. Really cool!

Yes, I adore that technique. The embossing creates a resist! Thanks for sharing Liane!
Thank you for another great technique video. I have a stupid question, For the colored technique, do you have to wait until the ink is dry?
Yuppers! Magic! Tfs
I love that you say yuppers!

Where you get a Misty?
I linked to multiple sources in the description box for you!
Does the white pigment ink need to be heat set?
(other than embossing)
No, it doesn't have to be.
@@LaurelBeard Thanks Laurel!

Laurel Beard I know! Hooray!!! See you there 😊
I love that “move it a lot” stamp. I’ve tried a couple different white pigment inks that I did NOT like. I’ll have to try this ink next time I order from scrapbook dot com. The balloons remind me of jellybeans (I’m not sure why; maybe I need jellybeans).
Ironically, I was eating jelly beans while creating these cards, lol!
Laurel Beard 😄 maybe subconsciously you were making jellybeans.
You are too funny! Love your enthusiasm and energy! House arrest! 🤪 hee hee hehehe great video and enjoyed it! Some tips I never thought of! Cheers!

Don’t call it House Arrest, call it Safe at Home

Glad you gave a non defensive reply. It makes a difference - thank you.

If she says ‘if you will’ one more time.....jus saying. lol
