spleeN the nemesis is good but the problem is that it gets weaker with each level and you can't always avoid the exp.
Blaze71042 yeah, also, the nemesis is only good in normal mode. In hard mode, the lvl. 3 blade is the way to go. It was the only way I could beat monster X (in hard mode, that is).

i kinda wish cave story had a prequel. going more in depth with Quote and Curly's back-story where they were sent to the island to prevent the mass slaughter of Mimigas from the robot army.

The crowd at the beginning and end makes this feel AMAZING.
These guys did such a great job, and this last song BLEW my mind.

Seriously, this remix project and its sequel got me through multiple honors classes in HS.
Maybe if quote gets added to smash, he'll have a nice forward-air.

This is my favortie song of all time. i roll like 20x harder when listening to this.
yes i hear people ranting about this version,saying the clapping is a mess,and what not,but it's really good if you just take the time to listen to it.
I like to imagine that the applause is coming from the trapped Mimiga cheering Quote on!
At first, I didnt really love this song very much. But god it's grown on me in an amazing way.

It's incredible how the two videos that have this song have VASTLY different feelings towards it, even though they are the same exact song. My personal feel of this song is this;
As someone who has played Cave Story extensively, knowing the soundtrack nearly by heart, this remix obviously wouldn't fit in with the rest of the fast paced tracks. But then again, that is not how a remix is supposed to be. Remixes aren't always made to be put into the game as a replacement. Remixes are an artists own take on a song in their own style. This song is downright incredible to my ears. Turning a track that was just over a minute and turning it into this. Of course it has to be repetitive in places, but DJ Dain made good use of building up the repetitive aspects to it. The violin was an amazing touch. All in all, while this could never fit into the fast pace of Cave Story, it could easily fit into boss themes of hundreds of other games. Well fucking done.

Lol I voted Quote ten times on ten different devices. So that way Nintendo or Sakurai can never find out that it was the same person doing the voting

I don't understand, why the melody had ot be extended per verse... it makes a fast-paced LAST BATTLE score sound like it is in slow motion.

Thinking of the undead core at a rave party makes me lol. Guy fills up the room, and the only way he can dance is using his floating platform-appendage thingies. Someone needs to draw this now. Undead core, ballos in his third form headbanging, and the doctor, in any form (regular, monster, or red dot).

Working a a video of someone losing pvp matches or coliseum matches and at the end getting a strong victory leading to world champ or something with the song, still working on the clips though.
Jesus! Quote's legs are longer than my body! Now for the fridge logic aspect: Kazuma is taller than Quote. Yikes!
On a serious note, excellent remix! It captivates the mood of the battle at the end perfectly.
I love how the voice at 0:20 and 0:40 sounds like he's saying "Ice cream" like we're sitting the audience of a Colosseum wanting to purchase concessions for the coming main event.

this version can be more awesome in certain parts than the original, but a little weaker in otehr parts. plus the build up i the intro is EPIC!

Ok, good ^.^ As long as you don't make a mistake, it really is an easy boss. Way easier than the first time you fight it, actually.
The first 40 seconds felt pretty epic. After that, the tune suddenly became kind of upbeat. ._. And it killed my "destroy all" mood.
