I suggested this after seeing that he has done Cave Story in the past and I am currently hyper fixated on the game so I was like “UHHH CAVE STORY”
That's really an incredibly flattering compliment, especially as someone who is relatively unfamiliar with the game outside of my admiration for the soundtrack.

I've only recently beaten Hell in cave story so this is a nice surprise. (If anyone cares, Yes I did use the cheese on last phase Ballos, I have no shame) Of course the most striking thing about Cave Story as a game is that it was made by one guy. For a game most people believe was sorta at the start of the indie revolution today being made by one guy really speaks to it's quality as a game released back in 2004. I mostly played out of curiosity, (Had to do a second playthrough in order to get the Spur it's that useful for Hell) but I had a good time thanks to It's characters, soundtrack, and story, and personality. Do I think it's the perfect game... No, there's a few issues here or there you can find in it and I personally enjoyed other titles more then it, but overall. It's gud game. The cheese. That's really funny you mentioned the cheese on the last phase. Not having even played the game for over a few minutes, I think the guy's footage I used also did the cheese move. I didn't have much footage of the last phase at ALL as a result. XD No shade though. Thanks for the insight, and thanks for the nightmares.
I had a pretty good experience with Cave Story+ initially, especially the bosses and dramatic undertone. The problem is, I just don't like it when a game makes you put in a lot of effort to get the alternate path. At the time, I had no clue on where to start after I got the normal ending. Every character death felt pretty much unavoidable back then. I'm fine with looking up a few small things, but I had the feeling that this would pretty much require me to follow a guide step by step. And that's exactly what sucks the fun out of it for me. I might revisit Cave Story+ if I'm in a particulary relaxed mood. But imo it sucks when you can't discover the true experience properly on your own.
I can definitely understand that. I certainly don't enjoy having to research progression points and inevitably deprive myself from finding those things out on my own accord.
You made super Mario world hacks? Were they good? Where can I find them? Also this is a great remix , last battle is probably my favourite song from cave story and this is an upgrade in every department. You’ve outdone yourself.
