I pulled up this video after a few hours in P2. The pacing in the story is weird as hell, in comparison to 3,4, and 5 it's crazy fast at times. And I'm not sure how I feel about the "contact" thing.
NorthWestClass PNW well thats just because you’re not used to it. and i don’t find any pacing problems?? unless you mean dragged out dungeons like the air raid shelter. things were super slow and as you learned more more things happened at once until the climax. like a STORY
@@nkoonkukoo it’s not that bad, besides you can always get some strong persona and force your way through with auto battle and estoma This way you can basically spend less time in battle than reading dialogues for sure. Besides Eternal punishment is actually pretty interesting in its gameplay because there are several good challenges throughout the main game and a whole new ng+ dungeon with a “secret” boss fight, if you played persona 5 or 4 ng+ you know what I mean.
Actually tatsuya super has daddy issues, it's why he turns delinquent in the first place. Man's father is neglectful and overbearing for him to literally just be a clone of his brother.
Tatsuya doesn't get any daddy issues (but we see he had brother issues in the next P2) so all he get a is a "REALLY FUN YOYO", good looks & sick motorcycle sound effect mimicking skills.
Technically he does, it's not fully explored in game directly but him and Katsuya's father was accused of being a corrupt cop and disgraced, I'm unsure if he ended up in prison or just retreated from their lives, but it leads to his absence which results in Katsuya's promotion to the role of parent, leading to the strained relationship between the two brothers Tatsuya went off the rails from the lack of parental guidance and the trauma from being stabbed by an arsonist, and Katsuya, upon giving up his dream to be a partissier so that he could provide for Tatsuya, dedicates a good chunk of his detective work to trying to exonerate his father
Best censoring ever. Hitler in a trenchcoat and aviators. But really this was extremely well-presented. Using Adagio in Strings for that one particular scene you know about is a nice touch.
He was censored in Japan for the PSP version because of CERO having rules about having no historical characters in the games. So when it came over here Atlus decided to keep it as is.
I love Inko/Lisa, she actually had my favorite female persona design next to Yukari. Edit: I have no idea where I got Inko from. Her name is Lisa, but I've been calling her Inko for the longest.

So far the only boss that’s given me trouble was Angel Joker and that was because I wasn’t prepared and the one hit kill attack. Beat him the 2nd try though, the boss fights have been easy.

I onlly played Persona 5, but god damn. I had no Idea they took an elder god straight from lovecraft stories and intergrated him the way lovecraft created him to be.

Quick note from someone who played the later games first, then came back and played Persona 2; DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME LIKE ITS Persona 3-5, it will take forever. Trust me, spam those fucking fusion spells, and if you have a move that hits every enemy, do it. The fights in this game take FOREVER, but are super easy. Especially on hard mode, it’s like a damage sponge. And trying to get a new persona, you might as well grind because getting cards takes FOREVER. UHHHHH.
I just downloaded Eternal Punishment. It has fairly good reviews, while Innocent Sin did not. Thank you so much for this video, this was a great way to get the story of Innocent Sin before starting up Eternal Punishment!

Only thing keeping me a little away now is it's on an emulator on me phone, and for whatever reason it's hard for me to get into my emulated games. They run fine, I just like buttons.

And is the only elder god the can take a human form, to my knowledge.
The ending of IS was perfect. I don't see how EP was ever needed to "finish" the story...

Great video. Couldn't be bothered to play this game, the pacing is odd, story was honestly kinda hard to understand, and the "contact" system was confusing. There's a reason this got buried under 3, 4 and 5 and I understand, but I'm glad I gave it a chance
NorthWestClass PNW give the game a try it’s hard to get into but just use a guide so you know we’re to go for the plot, and enjoy the game even though it’s battle system is completely different from p3,4,5s
@@toughlondonman I should edit my comment. Because I stayed up ALL night the day after watching this. It's got a lot of charm, some of it is outdated, but it's a nice rpg. Only thing keeping me a little away now is it's on an emulator on me phone, and for whatever reason it's hard for me to get into my emulated games. They run fine, I just like buttons.
