I was so in love with OZ in the 90s. I loved the OZ Monte Carlo and Competition a lot. Got myself a set of Competitions in a 17x7.5 back in 1998 and painted the charcaol. A few years later while checking out a wheel guide I learned they were 32lbs each. Talk about robbing power. But it was the late 90s. A LOT of people still ran chrome. We didn't really know about the importance of light weight wheels.
Racing Hart C2 and C5 are super OG to me! They were the wheels in the sport compact scene in North America in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They were expensive and therefore quite rare. Then add all the center caps and dishes that have been lost along the way.
Great list. I personally would have substituted the RS over the LM, as the RS has basically been around since before the inception of euro modding and came in so many different factory variants.
I have a question as someone who never gotten new rims I have a s10 mini truck and I was wondering if I have a 4x4 truck can I still put on rims/wheels from a regular car (This isn’t a car with locking hubs or any, there are buttons in the car to go to 4wd) I’m asking because where I live there is no where to go off-roading and I kinda want to make the truck more road sporty instead ( but I’m not slamming it)
Alex's Customs look for the Chevy S10 extreme. Back in the day this was the street standard for Chevy S10 fans. I saw hundreds of different wheel and tire setups for this truck. Some were slammed and others stock. Any good rim shop should have no problem helping you get a sweet setup. My buddy Nick ran one back in the early 2000's and it looked sweet. Good luck with the search.
Dave J the ones on the extreme are the style I’m looking for, not a off-road wheel but not a 18 inch Crome dub wheel with skinny tires I don’t know maybe I should go to someplace like discount tire and see if any employee there might know, (wouldn’t trust any local small tire and wheel shop around here near Detroit all they’ll recommend are those DUB rims as mentioned earlier)
Dayton’s are one of my favorite wheels despite being into a different car scene, I grew up around a lot of low riders and they were always just beautiful wheels especially on an impala or monte Carlos
*If there will be a part 3, hopefully it'll include the Yokohama Super Advan and you can quickly touch on each version of it; if I recall correctly, there are multiple versions of the Super Advan that have been made. Of course, there are other three spoke wheels, like the Advan Oni, Try-Force Zelda and Volk C-ultra, but the Super Advan is the most iconic of them all, and I think it's worth mentioning in a part 3.*
I suppose I am an old-timer but in the drag racing scene there was (of course) Cragar and ARE (American Racing). But there were others like Hurst and Centerline as well. Not even getting a mention? I guess times have changed.
Actually sir we have two videos on our page one for American Racing and the other for Crager! We had to show love to the older iconic wheels check out those videos here - bit.ly/2Q7WrqP and bit.ly/2oIQHY0
It would be nice to have a video of the hardest wheels to get and good alternatives to get a similar look. Like, I really want some wheels that look like the wantanabes on my 98 Legacy, but there is no way I’m putting $3000 wheels on a $1800 car.
Theres only two types of people that can hate on a Dayton wheel, those that have taste in their ass and those that can never afford a genuine set 😂 L's for them.
I only know because im looking at superturismo for my r32 gtr. Superturismo gt and wrc are the same. Wrc are in white and gt are the black or silver version. Superturismo lm have a step at the bolts. Wrc and gt are smooth. Also for some reason 16s are impossible to find at the moment.
BBS LM are legendary. One of the few wheels that looks good on everything. (TE37 do not look good on everything). There is a set of genuine BBS LM sale locally in dark grey 18x8 +35 and 18x9 +35 in 5x114.3 Hard to find in 18" in this bolt pattern. I am tempted to buy the wheels and worry about getting a car later on!
No offense but I believe those "Dayton's" are fake. I have a real set in astonishing condition. Check out my Instagram to see them (jdaturnabout). Love your videos I've learned so much about wheels and tires and I usually make my friends look stupid around others when I show them your videos.
wah panda are you drunk? How is a popular rim from the 70's and earlier an 80's knock off? Please feel free to explain your comment. Go back and watch the video they did specifically for this brand and do a Google search.
wah panda so what your saying is you are young and know nothing about car culture or its history. It's cool that you don't like the look. It's stupid to make claims that have no basis in fact. I think you just went full Trump. You should never go full Trump.
Dave J i dont follow the crowd innovation. doesnt happen by doing what everyone else, does. so yeah i dont give a flying fuck lmoa been in the scene since 1998 whrm i got gt2 and nfs high stakes and im 27 now ive seen it all and i long for different. lmao. tldr dont give a fuck. respect my opinion.

Can we have a video on the top 5 most over used or cliche wheels?
Jordan L te37
rpf1, te37...
I can dig it 🤙
Borbet A. Every second old bimmer in Eastern Europe ride on them.
You just watched it
*YEEEESSSSSSSSS* you guys finally mentioned the O.Z Superturismo. Love their racing style wheels.
Please do an episode with wheels with good brake caliper clearance. Especially 15-17 inch.
Back when I got into the scene, the Sparco mesh, Racing Hart C2 & C5s were ones. Also TSW blades
Racing Hart C2 and C5 are super OG to me! They were the wheels in the sport compact scene in North America in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They were expensive and therefore quite rare. Then add all the center caps and dishes that have been lost along the way.
what i remember most about the OZ wheels: them being on the WRC lancer evo 6 in gran turismo 2. was my favorite wheel in that game.
The wire wheel has been taken to a new level with work making their version ( carving head ) and they're my favorite wheel.
Those O.Z superturismos ( Hope I spelt that right ) are such beautiful wheels.
what are those bronze-ish wheels next to the gold wheels on the wall? theyre amazing
Great list. I personally would have substituted the RS over the LM, as the RS has basically been around since before the inception of euro modding and came in so many different factory variants.
Those equips are CLEAAAN🔥
Could you review Bola wheels? I’m interested in Bola CSR and would like to know more about them

Alex's Customs works fine. Go to a s10 forum and browse what others have already done. Dont be the first to try some random rims.
Alex's Customs look for the Chevy S10 extreme. Back in the day this was the street standard for Chevy S10 fans. I saw hundreds of different wheel and tire setups for this truck. Dayton's are so cool to me I love that we have them on our media van!👍 -Erik
How about advan 3 spokes
I love this wheel, have set in Pastel Orange. But as cool as they are, they are not iconic, just cause you either love or hate them.
Ask Moog from Mighty Car Mods how hard to find is your number 1 wheel
Mario Subasic Media yeah! Good luck MARIO SUBASIC
Not that hard. Just hit up rs watanabe and get a set. Won't be cheap though lol
Mario Subasic Media its not that hard, they just had a problem with wheel size and fitment, and is REALLY expensive.
What about the American racing turqe thrust II

I remember drooling over wheel adds in Sport Compact Car and Super Street that had Niche and Neeper wheels on Miatas lol

Cragar rims. Iconic if you're looking for that old school muscle car look.
Yea I did a poll on my car page they seem to hate Dayton wheels :(. But I like them.
It only matters if you like them 😂
Theres only two types of people that can hate on a Dayton wheel, those that have taste in their ass and those that can never afford a genuine set 😂 L's for them.
What about classic steel wheels?
I think the car has superturismo lm. Slightly different then the wrc.
Wantanabe look great on a 240 or hakosuka. Look weird toe on other cars.
I only know because im looking at superturismo for my r32 gtr.
Superturismo gt and wrc are the same. Wrc are in white and gt are the black or silver version.
Superturismo lm have a step at the bolts. Wrc and gt are smooth.
