Bolt nut washer your lids underneath your shelves then Screw the jars on & off of them. Use horse pellets in your # 2 area. They are made of pine for horse bedding. There will be no wiff of any smell. Just add to bottom then sprinkle a little over each use. At feed supply stores $7.00 for a 40 lb., bag. It's very absorbent you don't have to stir.
Oh by the way to hang lids under a shelf...it takes 2 screws per lid ...otherwise the lid will just spin when you turn the jar. May God Bless your lives & travels each & every day !!!!
Thank you for your transparency. I will be retiring in a few years and am very interested in doing a conversion. Thank you for sharing your Passion and your dreams.
My advise on cleaning the toilet would be to get some vinyl gloves. Easy fix and actually quite inexpensive. This was a very good video. If anything the two of you seem closer than you were during you're build. Have fun and stay safe on your travels.
Under-sizing the solar means doing by hand and doing without. Simple things like quality vacuum's, air purifiers and real deep freezers (not 12V) can be part of your life with enough roof space, money and realistic planning. Most folks end up doing an upgrade, I cannot remember anyone complaining that they needed to down-size the free electricity thing. It also helps to ENJOY tinkering and repairing things.
Amigos!! Such a great video, thank you for making this and inspiring my own creativity. Kiki living her best life, love to see it. You absolutely nailed it when you said that the challenges are also what make this lifestyle so incredible and fun. Can't wait for the next video. Sending love! - Lyss
@@growingslowandwild get some disposable Japanese style white slippers off Amazon. Cheap and would probably last a year👍🏼. We’re mostly concerned about our husky lol! We do have a vacuum that hooks up to our makita battery though. I think we’re doing a separate tank under the bus for our composting toilet as well. No buckets for us! Safe travels and great video✌🏼
Omgnes I'm so glad you guys talk straight talk about can life. Yes the potty intro great. Suggestion .. on smells .. oils.. as stated by several van life ppl. Question ❓❓ How much was the cost of your conversion.? And all need electrical, wood, batteries etc.
just found you videos,,,they're really good thanks for the pointers!... soon to reno my bus :) ....little tip for your videos - invest in one of those fuzzy things for your microphone so you won't get that wind sound over the voices, makes it easier for viewers to hear you :))
Beautiful build! My biggest concern about shuttle bus vs extended van is the maneuverability and agility of the bus and being a little more limited on places to park for more "stealth" camping in cities. I'm interested how you guys travel or what your lifestyle is like in regards to finding spots and where you tend to stay and for how long and if you even stay in city areas or if you stick to free blm land or what the parking is like going into stores etc. Also curious why you chose bus over van and what are the 10 downsides to the bus life and 10 upsides of it. Also, how limited are you not having 4x4 and the lower clearance with places you wanna get to?
Great question! We are still trying to figure it out for long term. For the first months of our journey we had a base in an organic farm so we could compost there. We’ve found some open community compost centers in Arizona but not so common elsewhere.
Are you guys ever meet anyone with suttle bus conversions.. specially a 2015 e350 super duty with a 5.4l v8 by any weird but lucky chance for me.. lol.. short story i want to buy one.. here in FL are rusty free , from local city used as pickup old people for errands and rides , anyways sorryy English.. you guys think a 2015 e350 with 300000 miles being well take care from fleet services for $6900 is a good deal?
Hey Brian! Haven't run into one of those yet. Although the shuttles are known to get a lot of miles, we would say that's a bit high of a price for the amount of miles. The year is good however, so maybe use your judgement based on the condition. Be patient !
@@growingslowandwild i will definitely wait until you guys collect some information for me.. i will appreciate it 🙏, cause is just wait to risky for the high miles..
None of these even remotely discouraged me from pursuing bus life. I can't wait to get a bus!!!
That's so awesome!!!! You're definitely our people!!!!

You guys rock! Keep it up. Cant wait to see the next adventure spots!
Thank you for joining the adventure!!
Instead of plastic plates & bowls, etc... what about stainless steel, bamboo, or wood?
As long as they don't make as much noise we don't really care what they are !
great info! please make a video sometime about things you wish you had done differently.
Thank you Tim!! That is actually the one coming up next week! So make sure you have the notifications on!
Great video! We might have a no shoes rule on our bus👍🏼
We never understood that rule until bus life!! We are big on leaving shoes on the stairs which definitely helps!!!

We have some videos explaining those things on our channel!!

Especially those of us who have to wear hearing aids or earbuds in order to hear and understand what you are saying.
You both are doing so awesome.
Thank you so much!! We really appreciate that ❤️✨
I love it!
Happy to have you here!
Another wonderful video! You guys are the goats! Thank you again. ❤️

Hey Konor! We actually have a couple videos on our chanel where we answer all of those questions!!!
Kiki is the cutest! ❤
She really is🤍
I always wondered where we could throw the compostable toilet bag?

great video, must ask you how do you make money from on the road
thanks for the tips! so helpful!!
Thank you for watching!!! Just a little insight on what is ahead!
Watching videos and looking for that right bus
Best of luck in your search!
I felt the sliding pantry comment in my soul.
All of my soul feels it every day haha thinking it will be a project for us because it just makes so much sense!!
Of course! I’m close to building my own, and I was going to do a Skoolie, but I feel like the way you build out your shuttle bus, really inspired me
It reminds me a bit of raising children!
Great video!

Brian I've heard quite a few people say that's not a good motor to go with. Especially with that amount of miles on it.
Do you guys ever worry about kikki bolting??
No she is pretty relaxed and wouldn't do that. She's older and she knows she has it better with us than out there so she always comes back 😊
It seems that a lot of your criticisms have a lot to do with your self build and your poor planning.
Wouldn't call it poor planning at all. More just having never lived on the road and not really knowing what to expect
It’s called sweeping
Hahahaha!
