    This is super interesting, ambulances seem to be a like more cost effective to come by (where I am) but i hadn't considered them because of the roof height. This actually motivates me to reconsider ambulsnces over a shuttle

    Yay!!! I'm so excited to see you both back sharing on UA-cam, it has been a while. Can't wait to see part two upcoming. It is always inspiring to see how fearlessly your couple dance to your dreams and overcome any challenges with grace and laughter ☺️ I hope that if it is inspired that you might do a numbers and figures break down video for your overland ambulance the same as you did for Luna. I enjoyed that content and found it very helpful. A question: With this build being next level, did you find any uncommon power (or otherwise) tool being essential and or helpful that helped you build your home? (E.g. special saw to cut out the windows that a friend supplied that isn't part of your existing on road tool kit) Many blessings, luck, and well wishes on your journey and may your manifestations continue to unfold beautifully in perfect comfort and safety matching your growth ☄️ 🌌

      Thank you so much!! So happy to be back in this little corner! And yes we are hoping to make similar videos, very happy to know you enjoy them!! Sending you big love!

    Wow! You’ve gotten quite a bit done. I’ve seen builds where they’re only able to put an inch or so of insulation in the walls,etc. yours is much thicker and should make a big difference in heating and cooling. I think you got a fantastic deal on the vehicle to and only 30 some thousand miles! It’s still a new truck! I’ll keep watching and take care!

    • @growingslowandwild
      @growingslowandwild 3 місяці тому

      We were able to use 2 1/2 inches of foam insulation in the walls and it certainly has been great for temperature regulation. And agreeed we got such a great deal on it AND the guy we bought it from was a diesel mechanic so it was well taken care of! Thanks for joining!!

    • @growingslowandwild
      @growingslowandwild 3 місяці тому

      Thank you!! More stable than any of the other methods we’ve seen since it’s a solid piece of wood! We waterproofed the wood from both sides, but it was extra since we tucked the metal under the roof on the top and on top of the wood in the bottom, it’s very very unlikely for water to get in only if there would to be damage to the roof itself!

However there are sections of the outer panels which are loose from the frame. I was hiping you could tell me how they are connected to the frame. It might be necessary for me to take them loose and reattach.

    • @growingslowandwild
      @growingslowandwild 11 місяців тому

      Usually spray foam has higher R value meaning is more efficient / better insulation. It does take a lot of prep and post work as well as special equipment so just things to consider!

    • @DeliberateNRandom
      @DeliberateNRandom 7 місяців тому

      Spray foam can be difficult in a DIY situation. XPS is better than EPS foam board. I'm planning on doing XPS with spray foam in a can to fill the edges. I'm also planning on cutting strips of plywood for the framing because it's denser than furring strips for framing out the walls. I'm really glad I saw your video! I've been sitting on my shuttle bus for 18 months and need to work on it.
