Its a shame that here in europe we dont get this cool compact because of pollution regulations, especially seeing how popular the corolla is here
NA doesn't get the GR Yaris either, which baffles me since it's available in Mexico.

I just realized something when you drew the lines pointing to the logo... Corolla by definition is the arrangement of the petals of a flower. Kinda makes a flower shape there if you fully draw it out.

It looks sporty without looking angry and I totally see what you mean about those chamfers around the headlights! At 4:15, you can see how the shadows play around with them (along with the rest of the car). It definitely has an expressive look that I like; and I’m an Audi guy that’s very particular about how lines flow as well.

Edit: I examined my ‘16 TTS the same way you examine cars … love that the rear lights mimic the front and that it (my TTS) doesn’t have fake vents, piped-in sound, an iPad on the dash, or a homeless guage cluster
It's got a very attractive looking rear design just like supra. Toyota knows how to play with curves.

at the first look the design seems incoherent and tortured but day after day you realise that those lines are full of originality ..............the japanese phylososhy to draw a unique gt shape. COOL COMBINATION.

@18:20, the curb weight of the FL5 is less than the GRC. 3097 lbs vs 3252 lbs. Please fact check before spouting random false info. And so 0-60 is faster in the GRC due to all wheel drive

i miss the old redesigns
We almost bought a Core Edition with Performance Pkg and Technology Pkg in Supersonic Red(also white) at MSRP but ultimately passed on them because the FL5 Civic Type R just felt more special and had more rear seat and cargo space to haul the kids around. We don't live in the mountains where we would encounter snow regularly, so AWD wasn't a requirement. You really can't go wrong with either car. These are probably the last of the ICE-powered hot hatches and are future classics!
How was the mark-up above MSRP for the FL5?

@@JimmyDShea just under $3k and they threw in 2 sets of floor mats(red, all-season) and wheel locks! The GRC was excellent, but the CTR is just on another level.
The only thing I have against it is, the BIG OPEN mouth grill! Get rid of that, and Toyota would get me to buy one. They also need to bring back the color "Speedway Blue"

What are you talking about? if you look in the center of the black area, it's already solid plastic there. They can place a body colored bumper piece and it will get the same amount of air that it is already getting- just look better. @@mengx94
As an owner... Do not test drive it because you will end up buying it. You been warned. I've got a Core with the torsens diffs ufff ❤yes yes ❤
