I think this a smart move from Neural DSP to show, that they also can do Clean and Breakup Sounds well, berore the Release of the Quad Cortex
I was thinking the same, they have done great cleans in the past but yes, more dedicated clean and slightly driven stuff is great to show their full spectrum. I think the only thing they still need to show off before quad cortex is their capability for effects. I'm still curious to see say choruses, flangers, phasers, tremolos which is what I hope to find in a MULTIFX modeller processor. I'm sure they will perform great, but I would love to see a taste of those already.
No idea why people are bashing this one. Every product so far was made for blues/rock/metal/death metal and any kind of metal. It's quite good that they deliver something else for another type of players.
Downloaded the trial for home demos of funk stuff tonight. I will be buying it.

I actually didn't know who Cory Wong was until now. Nice to learn about someone new and be surprised by a new archetype that's pretty distinct.

You can get John Mayer tone out of this plugin. It has a tube screamer and great reverb. I just downloaded it and it sounds almost exact with some tweaks.
@Kaleb Myers could you reply what you have enabled/tone knobs set to for the John mayor tone?
he said he doesnt really love modelers bc the response isnt quite there yet
This plugin really helped me finally find "my sound". Which is such a big deal.. It feels insane getting all of these incredible guitar/bass tones and paying less than $200. Huge shoutouts to Cory and the Neural Team on this one.

Yes! So stoked to see Neural branching out from metal/prog. With the Quad Cortex around the corner it makes perfect sense as that device will do much more than Djent. I remember Cory Wong mentioning before that he is a fan of Neural stuff and yet this still surprised me. About to mess around with trial version now.

same. it's the only guitar amp plugin i bought because i fell in love with the sound. its exactly what i was starting to get into, and waited until black friday last year and finally got it. love it

99% of the time Joe's recorded sound is just his DI direct sound. You could just buy a soundcard and connect your bass direct to your PC and there's your Joe Dart plugin :D

That's great! I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. But there is not quite clear demo, as for me.. It's not clear what overdrive sounds like. But everything else is great and sounds sooooo nice!

Was expecting Archetype: Tim Henson but i think is cool that you cover other styles, surely is a great plugin.
Not really sure why so many people thought that was gonna happen. Not saying I wouldn't be stoked for it but isn't the bulk of Polyphia's tone from split-coil more so than the amps they use? Plus I've seen some streams of Tim saying he uses Bias FX.
edit - I forgot people mentioned that Tim was working on a signature plugin as well. Hope to see that sometime soon!
Devin Grubbs he doesn’t use bias that was just a sponsorship, he uses his axe fx but on his streams he confirmed he was working with neural to make a plug-in

This is great, the metal stuff is cool but it's great to see some variety for all kinds of genres and having more tools available for every need is fantastic, with the Neural quality seal of approval, it just makes it more awesome. I hope you sampled that wonderful Dumble he has :)
This was very unexpected! but for sure this new plug in will bring a Wide range of new flavors and it opens to a new dimensions of Tones and textures for another branch of guitarrist. Well done again Neural DSP!!

Strats just kick ass. And I'm not a vintage only guy I love ibanez and abasi too. There's just something about them. Also he uses surf antiquity Seymour Duncans which are a large part of the sound.

I have to agree with a lot of others, the diversity we have right now with the Neural DSP plugins are great, I feel like if you have this one, John Petrucci's Plugin for metal and maybe Plini, Nolly or RABEA MASSAD plugin for ambient sounds, those 3 , you got a really nice mix of sounds you can make.
John Petrucci's Neural DSP plugin is my first choice though if you can only have one since that Neural DSP plugin has the most variety of sounds and tones.
That is the most complete plugin of them all with most stuff in it.
One of the other 3 I mentioned I would get to get more ambient "out there" sounds, but all the metal sounds and great lead tones you get in the Petrucci one, maybe that is why often times it is the most expensive one to get.
That's awesome you guys are coming up with archetypes outside of heavy gain and metal. I wouldn't mind archeatype Adam Jones from Tool though :)
I've got the nolly and plini paid for, held off during the 50% sales recently. I might still hold now until I see archetype: petrucci or Tremonti still

Hi guys, I just bought this plugin and I have a couple of questions..
1. My cleans sound amazing but distortion or high gain sounds sound very “thin”.. any tips or ideas on how to fix this?
2. What’s the best way to use this plugin for a live setting? Is it still best to mic an amp or you can go directly into the mixer?
Do you know what pups you are using? That could have something to do with it. Same with how you have the EQ. Also, for the live setting, it would depend on what you define as live. For an in-house recording or something along the like, you can keep it as is, but for smaller gigs/venues, a PA system would work best imo
