Thanks Roger! Making clean passes is like a well choreographed dance. You've got to plan ahead and set up each move at the right moment. The more you race, the more you can predict how the person in front might react, and where you can get by.
There is only near where I live and I’ve gone there a few times and every time I get 2nd by less then 1/10th of a second even though I’m always overlapping everyone it seems like they slow down my car. I don’t know why, like I’m always doing best then I get second anyways.
You could probably do high 24's if you turn in late and single apex on the back stretch instead of double apexing the turn. you're getting a lot of understeer on that section and losing a lot of momentum. The right hand and slight left before the straight should be full throttle.
I appreciate the advice! Believe me, after gaining a few more years of racing experience I’m critiquing quite a lot in these old videos of me learning the ropes 😅. Then again, I wasn’t too bad for a novice!
This is the track in Jersey City, NJ. I don't think there is any automatic braking that happens. If you're being too aggressive and bumping people then they will slow your car down using the remote control FYI.
Haha, I’d love to! I live in Philly now btw. I’d be more than happy to chat about race-craft to anyone that doesn’t mind me talking their ear off though 😎
I've been using my own helmet for a few years now. I highly recommend getting your own as well. Make the investment and get one that's fitted and will protect your noggin!
I went here yesterday for the first time and in the first race I got 1st but the second race I got 4th since I was all the way in the back and some kid did not know how to start so yeah. My name there was Xotic.
You should! Karting is a ton of fun! Although, during a pandemic, maybe a bit riskier than usual because of the rental helmets. If you’ve got a friend with a motorcycle helmet, I would borrow that for the day if we’re you!
@@professionalXMAZ I don't own a kart *yet*. The dream one day is to have my own set-up but for the moment I use the karts that are provided at each track. The price of renting is included in the entrance fees for every league I've done. This means you get quite a mix of karts which improves your adaptability - but can be a bit frustrating when it's holding you back. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the comment Debrah, I hope you enjoyed the video! I haven’t been racing at this place in a few years, but I can’t imagine they hand out discounts for fun 😅. They are running a business as it turns out. Racing is a passion for some people Deb. Don’t knock it till you try it! (Good luck with the undeserved discount 🤘😬)

love the warming up the tires at 2mph 😂 this looks so fun. Around 5:40 I was like, "Through goes Hamilton!!!"
I fr miss this place. Think I went there twice for my two birthdays. It was an amazing experience
Great racing Brad. Worked the corners nicely. 👍💪
Thanks Lenny! 🤘Do you race as well?
I just went here today. the drifting was so crazy!
Nice! Glad you enjoyed it Blessing!
You do a good job of getting around people...I usually get wiped out when I try to go around people

I’m definitely gonna work on it.

I raced here on the 2-floor circuit but find karts has automatic brakes…where is this track and does it brakes automatically?

I have a question, how many laps are you given per race? Thanks!
I think 12
@@RealLirics thank you! 🙏

Definitely faster than it looks 👀
How fast it go?
40 mph
Agreed: about 35 - 40 mph depending on the track layout (and the kart tbh).
Word of advice Bring your own helmet trust me ! Everyone gets to reuse some sweaty stinky helmet from the previous driver

During COVID the they have to wipe it down so we good
And their visor are always dirty and hard to see, well some
@@drumbum444 any recommendations??

Hey that’s not bad at all! Totally worth it if you ask me 🔥
What's the cost I wanna go there for my birthday tomorrow
Depends on how many races you buy: www.rpmraceway.com/pricing
is this place harder than supercharged?
I haven’t been to supercharged yet - but I would imagine that supercharged is going to be a more technical track based on the size and # of turns.
I’m here rn
Do you need reservations ?
No
Nope
this is at jersey city
I did this for the first time I love going back and I am going to get the camera video while I am driving wicked wicked driving yowwww no lie
I’m glad to hear it Richard! It’s a great sport that more people should get into!
Are the cars electric?
Yes
Yes they are! Wait time depends on the day. I haven't been here in quite some time.
I went there before but I never got to go, on the go carts
I would highly recommend it!
So how much is it for like 3 people? If I wanted to get at least 6 races in
I don’t work there Alex, so I’m not much help on pricing. I can tell you exactly how to drive quicker though! 😅
