- This abandoned farmhouse mansion was built in the late 1800's. I has been abandoned for approx. 5 years. Its located in Ontario, Canada on 10 acres of land that will be developed into commercial buildings.
There is a creepy past to this old mansion. There was 2 horror films filmed here and a Christmas movie. The first one was called Funeral Home: Cries in the Night. It was filmed in 1980. A teenager spends the summer at her grandmother's inn formerly an old funeral home where guests begin to disappear.
Video clips: @WatchMoviesNow
The other film was called
Goosebumps: Night of the Living Dummy III was filmed in 1997. It was a TV horror Series. Trina’s dad has all kinds of dummies in the attic. The dummies in the attic start to come alive.

The 3rd film was a Hallmark movie called A Christmas Visitor filmed in 2002

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

Oh man, this one hurts. Especially the note that it's going to be demolished. It looks like someone was halfway through refurbishing it and just.. stopped. Either ran out of money or just got bought out by the developer. I hope they at least salvage what they can from it before it gets demolished, it really is just an amazing house.
Pretty soon so much history will be demolished, gone forever. Sad. All the beautiful barns have caved in around us in rural se MI. More history, gone forever.
@@williebeamish5879 The barns, at least, were made with the knowledge that they'd be retaken by the elements eventually (they are fairly open to them, after all,) hurts the soul worse when it's something that was clearly built to last that's being intentionally taken down.
That said, hopefully MI has a similar program to VT where some barns now belong to an agricultural historical society that stabilizes and restores historically significant, or iconic barns so that a representative example still continues on.
@@FranNyan Well, the EU goes to great lengths to save their old rural architecture, actually subsidizing farmers for maintenance. And no, barns weren't built open to the elements, but once the roof goes due to lack of maintenance, game over. Just like houses. Oh, practical pole barns out of sheet metal replace some, but there's no "architectural appeal" left. Meh. Way it goes.
I live in southern Ontario and so many historic properties, green spaces and architecturally interesting structures get torn down for massively overpriced condos and multimillion dollar ugly McMansions on tiny lots.
I don't understand how such beauty gets abandoned.
I wish a historical society would step in and work with the developers to save and restore this house. They could make it into some sort of museum and charge admission. Builders could develop around it. Such a crying shame to demolish a house like this.
The floors are beautiful!
I really hate how many of these beautiful homes are being destroyed for urban sprawl. The craftmanship in this place is incredible!
He new homes are made out of osb( old shitty board), which is chipped wood and pressed together with glue, a major fire hazard!
Your cupboards are similar, and the dust and chips from a sawmil or paper mill are pressed together with more glue to make your counters and cupboards! Another fire hazard!
Demand better materials and construction practices!
The land around it should be declared a heritage site, which coukd be used to declare the house a heritage home!
there was a couple of these old grand ladies ( logging barons homes) in Newcastle New Brunswick they tore down, they cost a lot to heat and maintain! But so does any modern large home!
Yup and very few people create this craftsmanship now
Very true. Also another reason many of these properties are abandoned in Canada are due to an investor program in the Early 80's through the late 90's. I believe it was discontinued in 2001 but don't quote me on that. Canadian passports were, and still are the "golden passport." Many rich business people, investors, and industry people bought homes to get citizenship. This lead to a huge housing crisis modern day as some owners just left them, went back to their home countries and the Canadian Government has trouble tracking down the owners, heirs etc. From my understanding, due to real estate laws a property must be abandoned with no claims to the deed for a minimum of 40 years before they can claim eminent domain. Even then they must allow 10 years after publication for any heirs to the property to lay claim. Which means a total of 50 plus years a lot of these homes sit before they can even be sold. This is a large reason why Canada no longer allows foreigners to purchase homes. The next phase in the law would be to pass laws to limit the time between abandonment and eminent domain.
@@SpetsnazBarbieTV They should have cancelled that program ages ago. I'm in Toronto and it's ridiculous how unaffordable it is now.
The bones of this house look to be incredibly strong. The house was built when craftsmanship counted. It is obvious this house was beautiful while in it's prime and that beauty is still obvious.
The owners paid for good craftsmanship, people can do that today, too. Plenty of ramshackle houses were built back then - but you don't see many since they were never maintained, caught fire, fell down, were cheaper to replace than repair, and so on.
Yes!!!
It's insane to me how many of these places you note as being scheduled for destruction. I can't even imagine someone getting rid of something this beautiful.
The destruction of beauty is kind of the theme of the times in which we live. Beauty boosts morale, which leads to a happier society, but when the powers that be want a society of soul destroyed people, well beauty just gets in the way
@@ScarlettBoudiccaexactly my sentiments! They want us living in tiny steel boxes with $2000 rent tags while the past rots away. Makes me wonder if there's a conspiracy to label all these old homes as "haunted" lol.
@@danielledegeorge2129 Beauty is an alien concept to many, it seems so you probably have a point. Our past is considered tainted, too (if you're white, that is) so why try to preserve it? Disgusting what is happening to the world our ancestors built
This house is absolutely stunning and if I had the money I’d buy it and restore it!! Would’ve made a beautiful B&B or Inn, event venue etc. There is SOOO much potential here, so sad the craftsmanship from this time is being erased and replaced with boring, cookie cutter shoe box houses that cost way too much!!!
I absolutely love this house!! If I were a Canadian I’d seriously consider buying and saving this gorgeous home!!
Same! Sits on 10 acres and was once listed at 17 million! 😳
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada wow! You can fit a lot of houses on that property and make a great profit. Love this house 💝
There’s so much to love about this house!
Where in Canada is this house?
@@MarnieSchalla Ontario
Savaging the floors and the joists alone in that home would be worth a fortune. If you salvaged all the lumber that was in good shape you could build one of the most beautiful sturdy homes ever built, all from seasoned wood and it would still be a new awesome mansion. Great video.
Homes with arched or gothic windows have always made my heart race a little. It feels evil to tear down such well built beautiful homes. 💔
This house is absolutely beautiful. As many others have stated it's a crying shame to tear something this well built down. Its not even in that bad of shape.
You could still make a horror movie in this house.
For sure
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada Especially in that horrible red room. The purple one, too. What were the owners thinking?
House is actually sick
For sure. I was thinking the same thing
What a great house! I can just picture a family with children living here. What a wonderful time those kids would have discovering so many places in there to use as hide-outs! Such a beautiful house! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Whoever wrote all that on the black walls was depressed. That's a good way to vent and let others see in.
I have a dollhouse that looks like that lol.
I also used to write poetry and random thoughts and epiphanies on my walls like that when I was a teenager. It is a really good way to process your thoughts and emotions, especially at such a vulnerable yet influential time in your life. Something about pouring out a part of yourself onto something as stable and structurally sound as a wall makes them feel more real and accessible but also more permanent... more valid ultimately I guess...
What a magnificent house. I can’t believe it’s going to be demolished. So much beauty and elegance. Pretty neat how two movies were filmed there. Thanks for the explore.
Lovely staircases, floors and fireplaces. Nice positioned windows giving beautiful views.
The thought of this gorgeous house being demolished makes me cry...
How sad it is to see such a beautiful home left to rot😢
Beautiful home!! the workmanship that went into the trim along with the staircase is absolutely amazing. It honestly should be flagged as historical not torn down. Thanks Brent for another amazing walk through video 😊
Someone needs to create the floor plans for this house. I am in love with it and would most definitely try to build this house. This is the definition of a "dream house"! So many rooms and places to keep things and the architecture of the house is just stunning!! I am heartbroken this is going to be demolished. Such a waste for this to have fallen into such bad shape and fall victim to its eventual fate.
That house is amazing! It's just wrong that it's going to be demolished, it's so old is should be a historic building and saved! I don't understand how it's allowed to be destroyed. I really appreciate how you respect these gorgeous old homes!
This is the second time I've seen a video on this amazing home. It's fascinating to see the different focus. I actually didn't recognize the house until you entered the space with all the Velcro on the walls. So many hidden spaces. It's pretty obvious at least one artist lived there and I think that room with the various pieces of art was used as a studio. I find it very sad that something this magnificent is left abandoned, but the repairs and upkeep would be astounding. Thank you for a return journey to one of the most beautiful places I've seen.
Another great explore, that house had so much character. It should not be torn down but saved as some sort of historical home.
That is a beautiful abandoned house
The floors look gorgeous! Hope they don’t throw those away. Doors and windows are nice too.
Pocket doors are what you call doors that fit inside a wall. What a drop dead gorgeous residence. Love the wood floors.
Correct
i cant believe that this beauty is going to be demolished for commercial buildings! This is beyond words and so beautiful,it looks in pretty decent shape, i cant imagine why anyone would abandone or not want it.Two of the rooms in there make up my whole apt! Should have been renovated for an inn/bed or breakfast,im wishing it was mine, great find Bret, thank you!!💯👍😎
Why do they have to demolish these beautiful houses, just build houses around it guys!
The use of color in this house is amazing! It makes every room a special jewel. That much color and the range of color is really hard to pull off but here, it’s fascinating. From subtle pale and grayed color to eye popping combinations to a simple white with black trim, I could watch this again and again just to observe how the color flows and animates the house. As a house painter who has painted wayyy too many white on white houses, I say bravo to the brave souls who committed to COLOR in this amazing house. I mean think about walking through this house in all white or worse, butter yellow with white trim. Would have been a rambling elegant stroll saved only by the surprising angles and impressive woodwork.
Hi Brent. Until you went in the basement, this was one of my favourite of your finds. That was very creepy compared to the rest of the house. Loved the still shiny floors and staircases especially. Very interesting layout on the top floor. Thanks! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
The mold made me shiver
To say that this house is beautiful is an understatement. Thank you Brent
What a beautiful house! Don’t think it’s been abandoned too long. What a shame that it’s sitting empty 😢. You found another great gem!!
Such a beautiful house and it's being demolished
I didn’t understand why it’s being demolished until you went in the basement 😳The house itself though is beautiful
So much that could be salvaged...just stunning.
What a grand home..so glad you documented it..before its destroyed..the home is huge in size and has it own shining personality...thank you for sharing this video..another excellent one!!!!!
Wow, they don’t build homes like this anymore. This place is stunning…..♥️♥️♥️
It's sad that this beautiful historical old farm house will be destroyed. It's actually in fairly decent shape. Beautiful hardwood floors.
Gorgeous and interesting house! Absolutely my favorite that you have explored. How can we find out about the original owners?? That would be the icing on the cake!
I'd like to know more about the people that built this house. Where did they get the money to pay for it?
Beautiful house.
I love the way you show respect for the old house.
That just sucks to see such a beautiful homes just deteriorating. That was a very beautiful home.
Soon as I saw the writing on the wall I remember two other explorers did it but they didn't talk about the movie history
WOW. BEAUTIFUL HOME ! It would be a crime to demolish it. It was definitely put together with great care and attention to detail. How sad. This is going in my all time favorites !
Oh no. 😖
It's a stunning home that managed to survive so due to the loving care of people from all time periods. It's a dishonor to allow it to rot away. At the very least keep her safe until the day comes she must go and repurpose the materials. 💔 It's just sad and a waste to let it rot.
I absolutely love the homes of yesteryear. The craftsmanship and pure beauty is amazing. They just don't build magnificent homes anymore, at least not any with so much character. Can you imagine the stories this home can tell. I wish we were more prone to restoring instead of destroying.
Hugs
What a shame it will be demolished! Judging by the colors and stuff I would say somebody had done some pretty recent renovations… too bad they didn’t spring for a new roof.
I enjoy how you added the movie clips in as well. It's definitely more entertaining and makes you stand out from other urban explorers. Well done.
Has anyone ever posted in the comments "I used to live there" or "I owned that place?"
Yes a few times 👍🏻
I find this home so peaceful…a sanctuary…one of the best you have shown💜
Another great explore. Shame that all the nice houses are going to be torn down. Thank you for sharing. 😊
How perfect! Literally right from the entry!!!
The wood floors are amazing! The woodwork, the curtains....you'd have a hard time convincing me not to stay and squat for a bit!!🥰
What a shame that the woodwork has been painted
And the red and purple? I'm getting Beetlejuice vibes! Lol!
Wow that's a beautiful home! Hard to believe they will tear it down. That's a shame. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Brent, you found a goldmine. Really nice explore. 🎉🎉
I saw this house on another channel from someone else and the second time watching an explore is just as captivating as the first! It’s like two entirely separate homes built together. It has two full kitchens and countless bedrooms. This house reminds me of the TV show Sister Wives where one man has many children and two wives that live in their own house. Crazy thought but it would make the floor plan make sense! 🤷♀️
Id say the section next to the second kitchen was servant quarters. Ive noticed they usually have narrow walkways, are not ornate and the bedrooms can look kind of awkward with the roof encroaching in.

Wow! What a fantastic house. Especially enjoyed how you added excerpts from the movie shots! Great job!
WOW!! Hugh and beautiful!!😊😊 Thank you Brent!!! Just gorgeous 😊😊
We've just entered the front foyer and I'm already in love with this charming Manor....I so wish someone would buy and renovate it while keeping its original beauty/charm....its such a lavish, but livable, homey home....Thank You so much for doing these vids...THIS one is my favorite...i just can't help picturing it redone and utilized by some family, it would be perfect for an extended family..the gatherings...the everyday home life...the lifestyle of living in a REAL dollouse of a home ❤
That was a great video! A pity it's going to be torn down though. One would hope that someone would purchase it and salvage it
Perfect timing, I needed a nice Brent explore. Your videos me through Covid, now they get me through stress. Great video as always! So sad to see such a beautiful home falling apart like that. We spend so much money on the new when we should be spending it to restore and preserve. I'm a minimalist type of person, so I could never think of living in such a huge place, but I can definitely see it turned into something. I mean, that house, she is a stunner. 💖
What a mansion!! Best one you've explored, indeed! Thanks for taking us along, my friend!!
Its so sad that these beautiful old places are left to the elements to rot😔
It looks so beautiful with the overgrown grass all alone out there. What a thing to remember ♥️
I love this place! This was the coolest old house I've ever seen you explore. Interesting to read the writing on the walls - all written by one person. Nice hardwood floors. Nice windows that are rounded on top. Loads of bedrooms. This was a farm house? I don't see any barns on the property. Must have been built by someone with a lot of money back in the day. Hard to think that a farmer would have that much money to build such a place. Thank you so much for taking us along on a tour Brent!
This is a magnificent house! I would love to live there. I was thinking it may have been a multiple family home. Thanks for sharing this gem!
It is such a shame when you see these beautiful homes just sit and wither away and fall apart. Such treasures gone never to be enjoyed . I wish they would preserve these old historical homes , how tragic to see them fade away 😔
Thanks for the tour Brent! Too bad this beautiful home is going to be demolished. Thanks for showing it to us before it was too late. Stay safe out there!
It's just heartbreaking to see these beautiful works of art abandoned... decaying... all the love that probably used to be contained inside those walls. Very sad...
What a fantastic place and once a beautiful family home- Thank you so much for showing us and also to Dave for sharing it with you. I've got to say I would have loved to have had the rooms where the writing was on the walls when I was a child ;) x
What a beautiful old farmhouse, love , love, all the wood floors !!!
You just got another subscriber. I live in Canada too, and so many of the channels exploring abandoned buildings on UA-cam are American. I'm looking forward to catching up with your other videos. Great job!!
Awesome! Thanks for finding me
Absolutely gorgeous stately Victorian style farmhouse. What I would give to own one like that. I would definitelty cherish it. It is shame that so much of our history is being destroyed all in the name of progress and huge developments. 😪 Just imagine the time and effort involved in building that beautiful piece of architecture. There are so many cookie cutter homes now. Not as unique as they once were. They even made very effort to blend in the new addition. A shame there was no one in the family that wanted to keep it. I will have to check out those horror movies. Thanks for taking us there Brent. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Some beautiful elements to that old place.
Amazing architecture!! Thank you for this wonderful tour!!
Wow. My heart. So stunning! Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a dollhouse! So stinking cute! Too bad it's going to be demolished... :( It seems like the cool ones do. Thanks for letting us see it before it's gone.
Great video Brent, those wood floors are so beautiful it's heartbreaking to see them being wasted along with the staircase. BTW loved your editing those film clips in your video!
Thanks for taking the time to provide so much information when you share your videos!
The red and white entry way is beautiful. So cool that those movies were filmed there .. thank you for posting the shots from the movies!! The crown moulding, baseboards, fireplace mantle and hardwood floors are amazing. The doors and all the trim would be gorgeous if stripped down to the original. The butcher block in the kitchen wow. The back entrance to stairs from kitchen would have been for servants.
Beautiful house
The very last location you went to, it looked like it could be an attic. I found it creepy. Enough to think of a horror movie.
Nice place, great find..Glad you shared it❤❤❤
What a shame it is being torn down. It’s a beautiful place, despite showing its age. Thanks for showing the filming clips from the movie and show that were done there, I especially love Goosebumps.
Great job Brent! Very enjoyable until you reached the basement! 😲Wonder how large the family was to warrant so many rooms. Loved the foyer; thick mouldings and frame work. Thank you, you are a gentleman.
It's not creepy, it's a movie star! Another great explore! Once again, a bad roof slowly destroys a wonderful home.
Amazing find. The place just goes on forever. Very beautiful old house.
Hello Brent! What an absolutely beautiful farm house! Such a shame this place is going to be demolished. Thank you for sharing! Take care.😊❤
This house is stunning!! I can't believe they will destroy a piece of history like that... In Canada, we don't protect enough our historical houses and that's a shame. I bought an abandonned house six years ago and it takes lots of work but it's worth it.
That’s awesome! Gotta be overwhelming to restore though for sure!
What a great find.
It looks like they couldn’t stop renovating every inch of this house
Easy to get lost in there!
The old part has a lot of character and of course ..basements are always creepy!
The drone shots are always good as it gives another look at the size of the house
Great video as always 🇨🇦❤️
House is BEAUTIFUL!! What's really unfortunate is any new house, these days, will NEVER compare to the old ones built so long ago!!
You did a great job exploring this old house. It’s so unfortunate that it will be destroyed instead of fixed up. I do realize that someone would need a great amount of money to restore this place. But sad to know it will be destroyed. Thanks for sharing and again great job !!
That’s heartbreaking, such a beautiful home 😢
Wow awesome place there is some history there I love how you through those movie scenes in very cool 😎👍 explore
Did anyone count bedrooms? I lost count at 6. This place is splendid. Thanks for the tour, you always deliver!!
Beautiful old home , thank you for sharing another awesome explore Brent .
What a beautiful home .
Thanks for showing it.
Great video, Brent I too love old Victorian houses or farm houses. This is sad it's being demolished. Just think of all the hide in seek games you could play inside and out.
Absolutely stunning, most common people can only dream of living in a home of his caliber even in its current run down state it’s got a lot more class than a rundown apartment these days !
Amazing architectural detail and appointments .Some of those bottles in the cellar must be very collectable Thanks for sharing
Thank you for taking us along. Just so sad it will be gone.😢
I live in the UK and this house is so beautiful, it's a shame they are going to demolish it. It would need a lot of money spent on it. I just love it.
Beautiful ❤
Heartbreaking seeing this abandoned like this.
A real beauty Brent. Atunning home. Sucks its going to be demoed. I love it. You can always tell when there has been an addition on the houses. I remember Goosebumps, only saw maybe 2 episodes. Looks creepy in the movies. Great explore Brent.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
