7:20 atrioxs mace actually has the core from the red energy sword he took from the elite in the trailer hence the red blades on his mace, hope you cover more of thier unique weapons soon
The Brutes hacked and broke into Installation 00's security system in Halo Wars 2, where Prophets and Elites would have reverse-engineered and preserved the artifact. That gave me the impression that for Jiralhanae, warfare and technological development is one and the same, they develop technology by taking other's and pitting their weapons against it--creating a weapon that could break both in the process...
6:00 hypothetical nonphysics based explanation for the color: assuming its a similar energy output to the original, this variant could have calibrated to put less of the energy for each firing into heating the plasma and more into its momentum as it's fired, this could serve a tactical use such as increasing range, accuracy and potentially damage, the greater speed would allow the plasma to disperse/ splash more on impact which increases the area of affect when it hits.
I like this idea because it both sounds cool and it would seem logical to the brute however inconsistant as the previous brute plasma rifle actually over charges the plasma rifle to fire fast in expense of overheating times. Your brutes would if anything make a more halo ce style plasma rifle that fires slightly slower but fires the plasma with extremely great speeds and range and accuracy, including that the halo ce has a large visible splash on impact, if they want to make a proper brute plasma rifle, just paint the halo ce one red and fire red plasma... btw love your comment, wish more people could see it.
Even if the Red Plasma is cooler, it still has massive damage potential as it may not entirely cauterize wounds caused by said plasma. This could mean that the wound would continue to bleed and cause more damage over time if not treated
I read somewhere that the mines used by the Grunt Squads are UNSC made. Is there any truth to that claim? I really like the idea of the Banished using scavenged UNSC weapons.

TRULY liked and enjoyed watching this vid about The Banished weapons and vehicles!!!! One of my MOST favorites I've seen SO FAR. Almost ALL of these sporting Red, my MOST favorite color. Getting HYPED for Halo:Infinite gameplay trailer!!!!
Ever since being introduced to the series through halo 3 I assumed that the brutes were the only covenant species that were allowed to make and use their own weapons, vehicles etcetera. It's nice knowing that I wasn't entirely wrong.
If the red plasma isn't as hot, perhaps it would be more likely to cause a treatable injury instead of killing outright? In the same vein as how many present-day firearms are designed to maim instead of kill outright, in order to strain the enemy's medical resources.
Why does the lore state the spiker was low in quantity when in service in the covenant when, if I'm not mistaken, almost every non-chieftain brute you encounter in Reach, 3, and ODST carries one?
I was thinking this earlier today. The lower energy/temperature, at least for weapons, could be more for efficency. The covenant were immitators, but if a lower energy output does the same damage (a red blade just as sharp as blue, and if its melts or burns targets at the same rate) then its just a waste of energy, and a lower temperature would theoretically help with the plasma cool down, more shots without the covenant energy over-kill. (though I think the brute plasma rifle in Halo 2 was the opposite.) Edit: Extra thought, higher munitions such as ship cannons would probably still be blue. The energy output could fit for different situations. Red and Blue can but human armor all the same, but the higher blue energy would be better for ship-to-ship combat.
I'll get off subject, but since we're talking about Brute weapons such as the Spiker, there should be a pre-Halo game where Brutes fought among themselves. This can open up pre-Covenant Brute weapons the Jiralhanae used against each other.
It is likely that the Banished do use Kig-Yar and Yanne’e forces. Remember, Atriox’s forces on the Ark don’t represent the full scale of the Banished as a whole. Kig-Yar are definitely in the employ of the Banished due to their mercenary ways, and Yanme’e are likely employed as engineers, when Huragok are not available. I imagine these two groups weren’t included in Halo Wars 2 simply due to balancing and finding a suitable place for them.
Sylva Silva That’s fair however so far its speculation to say he did since we’ve never seen anything to imply it. If they appear in Halo Infinite fine but until then it’s pure speculation
Sylva Silva The Yanmee as far as we know are all back on their homeworld chilling and happy to not be used as soldiers anymore. Not counting the few that Merg Vol used during Spartan Assault anyway
Actually, in regards to the color of the energy, most light sources will emit multiple frequencies of electromagnetic energy, so even if the blue plasma rifle emits blue which is a higher frequency than red, both plasmas likely emit EM energy outside of the visual range, so its likely that the brute plasma rifle emits greater amounts of ultraviolet to X-ray radiation. Not sure if its hot enough for gamma. This explains why the fuel rod emitts green light, as green light is not an indicator of a color temperature
I'm really glad they put the banished in a main Halo game, I really like the look of their stuff and I'm really interested to see what new Jiralhanae gear they have in infinite.
cody morris Cutter & Atriox were both the main leaders of the respective factions in HW2, which leads to them being rivals of each other (Cutter doesn’t physically rival Atriox, but they are rivals nonetheless)
What I like about the Banished is within context, the original Covenant (and similar remnants) see them in the same way that the UNSC see the Insurrectionists. But in a way they are much more successful and are better equipped, not that that the Insurrectionists were weak, but the point is they're both the nemesis with an opposing ideology to the faction they branched from before the war.
A lower temp plasma weapon could in theory do more damage by burning "slower" allowing damage over time before the Plasma bolt runs out its mass while being only marginally cooler, as far as flesh and bone are concerned.
My thoughts on the extra bayonets, more harm than good, the blades at right angles to the strike, stop the blades going deeper. The red lower energy plasma rifle may well do more damage because the lower temperature would likely impart more heat energy to a target rather than the bolt going straight through
Bit of speculation but some think that the brute plasma rifle fires lower energy bolts that dissipate on contact the idea is that its less effective against armor and shields but the doesn't completely cauterize wounds meaning that almost no direct contact with a round is survivable. I know in reality no carbon life form should survive a single hit from a plasma weapons but its suggested that even without protection elite and brutes can survive plasma rounds it seems reasonable.
A potential reason for why the brute plasma is more "powerful" and yet red in color is because it discharges more gas per shot, so each gas molecule is excited to a lower energy level, though the total energy level of the combined plasma mass is higher.
Seems like everyone forgot Cortana is the main antagonist, I'm going with the banished joining up Infinity and master Chiefs to fight Cortana in some fashion like that
And the Banished have no real reasons to go into all out war with humanity, there will probably be a bit of fighting over something the unsc and banished both want, and then a greater threat (created) will reveal itself and they'd join forces. But I doubt they'll do that in infinite, it would be weird to introduce a new enemy faction and then make them allies halfway through the same game.

While a red colour would usually denote a lower power output, it's worth noting that there other factors which could contribute to this aesthetic difference between Covenant and Banished weapons - I'm sure you're aware that, when burnt, many chemicals produce unusually coloured flames, like green, purple or white, Strontium Chloride and Strontium Nitrate are both known to produce a vibrant red colour for example, While Copper Chloride produces a distinct blue hue, So it's reasonable to assume the Banished simply switched to a new fuel for their plasma weapons They may even have added trace amounts of a new chemical to their fuel supply with the express purpose of producing this blood red colouration
Anything on the banished ships, you and eckhartsladder or metanerdz have done anything bout their new ships in infinite. Would like to see if unsc could reverse enginer their tech too.
I don't want to contradict your point of view on the red color of the plasma for the rifle and hammer, but I believe that the magnetic field used for the Brute plasma rifle is stronger or more efficient than the regular plasma rifle, thus more damage and energy is more focused on themagneticfieldthanthe plasma, thus red in color. I want to say the same for the gravity hammer as said that gravity generators are the main source of the hammer's damage, I want to say that the red plasma is an augmentation for the weapon than being the main damage inducer, and same goes for how more energy is used for the gravity generator, thus red plasma blade.
In halo 5, the Swords of sanghelious motion that loyalist covenant forces where useing plasma weaponry that burnt at a lower temperature, slightly lowering their direct firepower but having the bonus effect of not cauterizing the wound, somthing that was highly effective since the victim would quickly bleed out. Red plasma weapon cause horrific bleeding, that's why they work better!
People need to remember that the brutes are not necessarily stupid, but very impulsive and aggressive. If needed, they can design and build weapons and technology that will undoubtedly fuck your shit up.
the luxury the chief does have is there is a lot of information regarding the banished and nothing known is really a suprise and he fought the promethians wich were to him a suprise and still won the battle every time so yeah the brute are a danger though more so than the covenant brute the chief wil find a way to kill as always...
I'm pretty sure it's mentioned a few times that the red Energy is hotter than the blue, which wouldn't make sense in the real world but it's also never mentioned what gases are used to make the red plasma (to my knowledge) so i think it's likely it's some gas that doesn't exist in the real world. All different kinds of chemicals burn different colors. Either way it doesn't matter as long as it looks cool
I have nothing backing this statement up, so take with a pinch of salt I guess. I personally think the Brute Plasma Rifle has a higher damage output because the plasma is harder to stabilize at lower temperatures, leading to the increase in overheating instances as well.
God, I love how you use the Halo 3 Oni Archive footage for the Armory series intro. It fits perfectly for the theme.

I want to say the same for the gravity hammer as said that gravity generators are the main source of the hammer's damage, I want to say that the red plasma is an augmentation for the weapon than being the main damage inducer, and same goes for how more energy is used for the gravity generator, thus red plasma blade.
More of these weapons and vehicles need and should have been in infinite
What if the red coloration of the weapons/shots, does not denote heat but shows the type of gaseous material that was used to generate the plasma.
I'd like to point out that atriox's belt buckle is literally an ODST chestplate.
Props to the ODST facing a energy sword wielding Elite
How’s it going? Doing well? Great vid as always😁
I'm waiting anxiously for your thoughts on Infinite
Oh hot damn I love that new armory intro!
People need to remember that the brutes are not necessarily stupid, but very impulsive and aggressive. If needed, they can design and build weapons and technology that will undoubtedly fuck your shit up.
Hey just an idea but do you think that the red energy sword got turned/implanted into his mace?
the luxury the chief does have is there is a lot of information regarding the banished and nothing known is really a suprise and he fought the promethians wich were to him a suprise and still won the battle every time so yeah the brute are a danger though more so than the covenant brute the chief wil find a way to kill as always...
I like the Banished because the Brute’s are portrayed as a dark twin to humanity.
Its sci fi all of it doesnt make sense to our real world technological understanding
I have nothing backing this statement up, so take with a pinch of salt I guess.
I personally think the Brute Plasma Rifle has a higher damage output because the plasma is harder to stabilize at lower temperatures, leading to the increase in overheating instances as well.
Does the banished have jackals or not? I haven't seen anywhere that they do, and the jackal-esque unit in hw2 is elite rangers
Jackals confirmed. It was inevitable.
What is that outro song bronit sounds so cool. And the intro song please put them in the descriptions of your vid i wanna know
I could be wrong, but didn't the Profits forbid improving or enhancing any weapons?
You're going DOWN, Banished!
Dude you’re brilliant
Wish we had these kinda graphics for the infinite reveal
Preferred the Brute ranged weapons to the Covenant ones.
my favorite brute weapon is the brute plasma rifle. and my favorite covenant weapon is the covenant carbine and needler.
I wished they would of brought the brutes from halo wars including their armor. They were so intimidating.
Brutes are my favourite bullet sponges.
can you do the banished defence weapons system
The marauder looks like it would be insanely fun to drive if it was in halo infinite
Do we know anything about the brutes before the halo array was fired? Like we do with the prophets and humans?
Wewr. Thank you to the discord for notifying me to be this early!
Are their any jackals in the banished?
Ohh what could’ve been 🥲
What is the video in the first minute and a half from?
Might want to update this video lol
Are you sure the Brute Plasma Rifle does *more* damage? IIRC it shoots faster and does less damage to compensate for this. But I could be wrong.
Banished are so beefy, elites are the new jackals.
