Hey prg i have a question how much is the repairability index of the nothing phone (1)?
What's the song name you use in the background of this vid buddy. (wanna see if i can purchase on itunes)
How can I send in my TI-84 Plus CE for magsafe and wireless charging.
My phone too I ordered a screen for my Redmagic 5G, and it costed me 150$, I will try changing it using my 3d printer when I get it to ti "cook" the glue since it can go up to 120 celcius.
But if you see this I want to change my battery, but they don't sell the same capacity and I don't know if I would lose my 55 watts charging speed and most seller are just a scam, do you know where I could get a new battery...
Im using 1 right now😊
S8 was once the prettiest phone ever!
Was definitely a huge jump for Samsung. Made repairs a lot easier as well
That’s debatable
I still have my old one, the battery is toast though
I use a S8+
@@drew2626no , ylue just an apple clown
S8's screen price is still the same 6 years later which is still wild especially at its price
Its literally cheaper to buy a used working one hahaha
@@PneumaticFrogtypical samsung and apple thing. S10 plus display repair cost more than second hand S10 plus and in india you can get a second hand s20/s20 plus around that price
@ruga129 yep, found a refurbished s8 here in australia for $189.99 which is basically the same cost as an s8 screen in Canada at $189.99. AUD and CAD are pretty much the same value more or less
@ruga129 it's the same with all phone replacement parts FYI. That's how they make money they charge half the cost of the phone just for the part. It's good business haha
4 years ago I was hesitant to repair and bought a new cheaper phone. No way I am repairing now even if it is still a decent phone.
it’s amazing how you can work on a phone for probably 45 minutes and shorten it down to a 30 second clip ❤
Sometimes
These shorts have over 30 mins of raw footage😮
@@PhoneRepairGuru that’s crazy. thanks for teaching us so much about repairing electronics and stuff it’s really interesting.
@@PhoneRepairGuru please do the oppo a72 5G unboxing video
@@youtubercsgo911 you are on the wrong channel
If you look at the time on the display, it took him about 1.5 hours!
If you could make an S8 with modern specs, I'd buy it in a heartbeat
100% me too i still love my old one and im so happy i bought it back then
its called an s23
@@jamesn6048no its not for one it doesn’t have a curved display, uses a hole punch selfie and its bigger
This is why im impatiently waiting for the Sony Xperia 5 V to come out because its basically that experience
@@jamesn6048😞uhmmmmm I don’t think this one gets it
Happy Friday everyone hope you guys have an amazing weekend

The same goes for you :D

No. I work saturday too😢
Lasers are the best
They can read CDs, clean train tracks, measure distances all the way to the moon, heat up things real good, fix phone screens and eyes and they go pew pew if need be
And they do fiber internet
And destroy eyes
And repair eyes
@@botandrew1 OP was on about fix eyes, I said destroy as used wrong can hurt the eye
@@mlee6050 then fix the eyes
Galaxy S8 was my ultimate phone, had everything. Every next phone I would want would be just S8 with more RAM, better SOC and physical memory. My original S8 still works, it's screen is still awesome, audio jack, microSD, headset in box, charger in box, even some USB adapters (3 of them). Was using it as main since last year.
Don't forget the "3d touch" style home button. God do I miss it.
I played pubg on it and it lagg
I still kinda want a galaxy note 9 for those exact reasons
@@thatguy6214yea it is very "real", i can almost feel the press thing like a real button, like galaxy s7
@@pegece it felt like a real button with the vibration feedback. I wish they kept it.
Just upgraded my S8 for S23 and man with a relieve how good the s23 is... the S8 is on of the best all time Galaxy S line devices till date. Thanks for the many good years bud
That machine is sick tho the laser tech is something else 💯
Me watching this vid on my Samsung S8 😭 the🐐

Same here
The battery is bad though.
Im planning to get an s9 I really liked the design currently using an iPhone.
same its ild but still works
The S8 was and still is my favorite modern smartphone.
Using one rn to type this
@@1qgiosame lol
@@1qgiohow much sot you get daily?
That laser is really impresive
I'm using an s8 now! It's still nice and so fast... I love these phones, i had another 3 😅
My S8 midnight black is still working❤ i love it
Petition to bring back a question a short.
I miss my s8. Might send it in...
Love the Strange Parts reference ❤
I miss replaceable batteries like the S5 😢
Well we're getting easier to replace batteries sometime in the next few years
then you wont have water protection
@@christiangarcia4925 The S5 had water protection lol
@@TylerFurrisonthe S5 water protection wasn’t that effective lmao. Removable battery’s is just a shame in 2023.
non flagships still have really replaceable batteries
a lot of modern budget phones
you can just remove the sim card tray
use your nail to open the back cover
screw out a couple screws holding the connector in place
(some require you to remove the entire thing like this video did)
but you can change batteries if you just have a screwdriver and good pry tool
have to be careful that it won't puncture the battery and you also have to use glue or double tape to stick the battery back or it'll start moving and that aint good
without the heater it's really difficult to remove the glue on the battery but it's very possible
“From back in the day”, the phone is just 6years old 😅
You can fix those OLED lines now? I never would've thought it'd be that easy.
As for screens, Apple does deserve credit for making their screens easy to disassemble and """replace""".
Jokes on you, Samsung makes those screens too.
@deleqtronica8733
Not like you can slap a Galaxy panel in an iPhone- it's not quite the same thing.
@@deleqtronica8733They do but for some reason its cheaper to buy another phone than fix a samsung flagship from 2017 💀
I miss my s8. It was amazing. A LOT slimmer than my s21 fe...
Literally was about to say the same. I had my S8 for over 5 years and now switched to a s21 fe almost a year ago.
Right after the switch I missed so much. Like the live wallpaper, sd card, notification led, pressable homebutton, fast fingerprint reader on the back and so many more. Just the feeling of holding it in my hands was so much better. The round corners just feld premium.
But I mean for the price of my S21 fe, you just couldn't say no.
Next time I'll get the more premium version again and not the fan edition.
@@koenigderbloecke9112yeah i got a Galaxy S20 instead of a S21fe because besides the better SOC, there was just so many comprimises.
@@koenigderbloecke9112was about to upvote your comment, until you mentioned curved glass as a good feature.
Casually watching this with a line straight down the middle of the top of my screen 💀
Really like the part where you went into detail about the laser that can fix screens. So cool 🤩
Well, there is a trade off with it. While Iphone opens from the front, this also means that the screens are more likely to crack and snap in the removal process. Samsung has you open from the back so that it is secured by the frame with interior screws, allowing it to be removed without a terrible amount of prying or excruciating care.
Tl; dr, One is quicker but dangerous and the other is safe(er) but takes a while.
i mean if you’re replacing the screen it doesn’t matter. Anything else though, yeah gotta be careful. At least iPhone screens for 2017 models don’t cost more than the phone 😭
"Let Him Cook Now"
Nice matt! Are there any other colours?
This title is like calling Interstellar “Matt Damon’s Space Trip..?”
You don't always have to change the housing too just change the display by heating em up
S8
The model which changed the mobile phone history to Infinity display
I had one it was real GOAT🐐
Had one for so long, they amazing

The Note 8 was the beginning of a new era of new screen phones
S8+ was my ultimate flex back at the time... And it was my frist flagship i bought with my own money... It was my best days ever
The S8+ on that orchid gray color looked absolutely spectacular
Galaxy S8/note 8 were some of the sleekest phones I've seen
Now there is sony.
My previous phone, I used it for 5 years, immediately fell in love with it back in the days.
I loved the S8 Galaxy. The screen was so rich and vibrant! I understand why they went back to a traditional non-curved screen, but it's still a very elegant design. I still have one of my old s8s and the battery keeps a decent charge.
Iove your videos bro
Watching this on my S9. The S8 and S9 are my favorite builds of a phone.
The fact that it is the next day😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I had an s8 for ever and it held up well now on a s22 and a big difference just hope it will last just as long
my mom loved the S8!
Smasnug Galaxy S8 (DankPods Reference)
S8 to s10 were just the best
I had an s9 but had to get rid of it because it started to overheat and overall just felt slow, I’m always amazed when people manage to keep using older devices.
I'm amazed too, given that Qualcomm & Mediatek chips are way slower. the iPhone 8 was 170% faster than S8 & same score as S20 in single core!
I'm a salesperson in a phone shop and we also repair phones (not me), it's not that I've ever been interested in repairing them, only the software part, but watching your videos I'm amazed and I like repairing them more.
I have a samsung s8 plus and honestly other than the camera quality its a really good phone ngl
My poor s8+ has been through a lot but it's still going strong
Finally some recognition for my own phone
Really wanted to get when it came out. It was revolutionary
"we will cook the Samsung ' open it up " like the way he says it 😂
The S8 and Note are some of my favorite phones
i really wanted the S8 and later the S9 when they came out
In what temperature do you cook ipads
Ohh i remember the s8 i had the plus that was the first samsung phone that had that home button builded in the screen that felt so cool to touch
Im using one to watch this video. I aint gonna change it because of how beautiful it is. Truly the epitome of phone design imo.
S8 was my favorite too
Hay I love messing and fixing devices. Also I have a question do u give away broken devices
i had a laser line on the 1st pixel on the screen on the side once, it kept changing colors and disappearing and coming back lol
That's actually what I have right now and its pretty nice ❤🥰
Still using S8 and with original battery still going strong. I prefer it more than my iphone 13 pro because s8 is very light, easy in pocket and hotspot feature is much more stable than iphone. The biggest difference is Advance Sound settings which iOS lacks.
Could u do a bit more informative video about apples battery and how that corresponds w repairs?
*Likewise, i was so in love with my S8, it was just perfect for my everyday use and it had everything that you ever wanted in terms of features and practicability.. But unfortunately i had it's screen cracked like crazy and instead of getting it fixed and getting a new fresh screen, i went to buy a new phone but then even to this day, after having switched like 7/8 new phones, i still regret not fixing my S8.. Which i believe there won't be any other phone to give me that exact same joy and satisfaction than what my S8 gave me.. And there still hasn't been any other phone which i ever fell in love with. Thnx for this vid and you saying that you love the S8 too, which now gonna give me that motivation to get it fixed and running back again hehe..* 😁🤗😎😎
I'm watching this on an S8 and my screen is also really cracked LOL
I had the s8 and it was such a good phone
the s8 was my firist phone
I had a galaxy s8 for a while and it was my favorite phone because of its curved screen and overall excellently design
Love S8!! My favourite phone
I still have this phone ! Great phone, it’s the perfect size and weight when I wanna go light
Funny thing is, I'm watching this video on an S8
What about the suction cups. Do you remove them?
Can I ask what clamps you have used to reinforce the phone post repair?
A S8 I had one for a while
Phone repair guru what do you think about the smasnug galaxy z flip 5 and z fold 5?
s8 was maddening when it came out the thinner bezels my my
My favorite is/was the s5 with this cool fingerprint sensor 😊
S6 edge, s8 and s10 were my most favorite
I had a s8, burgendy red. That was a beautiful phone with a superb display. I loved it soo much.
Nice Video
I am still using S8 as secondary phone it's been 6yrs works fab
fun watching this with a "laserline" myself lol
Is that heat plate any good?
I have an S9 plus, i use it since it's release and i love it.
I used to have the S6 edge… best smartphone yet… even now with my 13 pro, i still miss that beast
A phrase i never thought i would hear is "we cook the samsung"
Still Using the S8. Happy with the performance.
im watching rn on an s8
how does the laser happen
Watchin this on an S8+ 😊
S8 feels extremely premium in hand even today , i love this phone.
I have a question. I want to start a phone repair business but I don’t know where is the best place to buy phone parts that are similar to the original parts. What do you recommend?
He I have a question is the phone that your repair water proof after that you repair it?
I will have to replace the battery on my S8 at some point. Where can I get that nice cooking plate and what temperature do you cook it at?
I had an S8 until a month ago. Good times
I had an s8 active for forever. Since it was an active it was already harder to find cases and as the years went by it got harder and harder to find a case
I wish phones could look like that again, S8 and S9 were top tier phones, obviously I have a soft spot because I had both
Plz try layers skin it's awesome
Bruh a battery from 2017 is still good.😂 It will probably last longer then the ones from the latest iphones
It's my favourite and I still own it!
I still use s8 and its my primary phone. Love the design and form factor
I have the line too, what should I do?
