I always cry while watching and listening to this. So many emotions in musicians’ faces and their music. Also excellent performance. Always coming back to this video.
As someone who listens to a lot of metal, this sounds very metal to me. And not only just the music, but also the attitude. The singer is very much into it, she really puts all her heart, and you can also see all other musicians moving their heads with the 'beat'. The harpsichord guy also seems very much feeling the 'beat'. Oh, and this last note, this hits hard in the guts. This is really a great thing to be able to witness this kind of recordings. Thank you

Well, not easy-listening at all :) As a very soft introduction, I can definitely recommend the band Nightwish, which has a huge orchestral aspect to the sound (most of the time the studio albums are recorded with a real orchestra) Here is a good example ua-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/v-deo.html (I took the live version because I believe this singer did a better job for the end of the song) Withing Temptation is really a classic in symphonic metal, e.g. this song ua-cam.com/video/reGlno9aUpw/v-deo.html Also, Epica ua-cam.com/video/eNGzltK_tlc/v-deo.html These bands are among the most famous and 'classics' for this particular genre, which is rather close to classical music, in my view. Also, these are rather 'soft', so it's not too big of a leap for you in the metal world. If you like those, there are hundreds of similar bands out there: After Forever, Delain, Unleash the Archers, Xandria, Kamelot, etc... Also, those are not necessarily "good" in an objective sense, as I said metal is a very broad genre and those bands are only limited to one subgenre, which some metalheads might not appreciate. You might like it and find it good, or you might not. I hope this helps!

In fact, 300 years ago there was already all the musical material that we use today in light music. Tonality, structure, dramaturgy … there is nothing new today. And, if we are honest, this light music of Antonio Vivaldi was of way better quality than most of the musical pollution that terrorizes us today wherever we go and stand.
I’ve been long convinced that you could take basically anything by Vivaldi, Bach, Händel, the Haydn brothers, Mozart, Hummel, etc., change the instrumentation a bit, brand it as “new music,” and it would sell big time.

Ich kann kaum verstehen, daß eine so junge, grandiose Sängerin mit ihren 27 Jahren ein so großes Repertoire von Monteverdi über Mozart bis Rossini einstudiert hat. Vor einigen Tagen bin ich von einem Freund auf sie aufmerksam geworden und sie hat spontan einen neuen „Fan“ gewonnen, der auf Livekonzerte oder Opernaufführungen mit ihr wartet ! Ich bin begeistert von ihrer wunderschönen, einzigartigen, verwandlungsfähigen Stimme und von ihrem schauspielerischen Talent. Wenn ich zum Beispiel diese Vivaldi-Arie mit der von einer international extrem bekannten und beliebten italienischen Mezzo-Sopranistin vergleiche, dann hat Lea sie einfach leidenschaftlicher, exakter und schöner gesungen. Sie wird in den nächsten Jahren sicherlich ein ganz großer Star ihres Fachs werden. Ein großes Lob auch dem Ensemble Jupiter ! So macht die in Deutschland oft immer noch „akademisch“ gespielte Barockmusik (nicht nur dem Zuhörer) Freude !

Gorgeous ! bringing together the best young performers of baroque music of the moment!! For information, the ensemble of Thomas Dunford (the lutenist) is called Jupiter probably in homage to a very virtuoso piece by Forqueray senior, which "moves" a little in the same vein, especially when Jupiter triggers the lightning of his anger with great blows of triple quavers for the viola da gamba.
What a cool atmosphere, and such riveting music, so tight and bursting with energy! What glorious singing! What furious, joyful playing! How uplifting to see these brilliant young musicians revitalize this wonderful historic music!
This is how baroque music needs to be performed. Unpretentious, just with passion.

For information, the ensemble of Thomas Dunford (the lutenist) is called Jupiter probably in homage to a very virtuoso piece by Forqueray senior, which "moves" a little in the same vein, especially when Jupiter triggers the lightning of his anger with great blows of triple quavers for the viola da gamba.
Such an exciting and dramatic performance, I thoroughly enjoyed listening!
