When I just listen to Lea Desandre's performances, I sometimes start questioning the phrasing or the choice of emotion or I start comparing her performance to performances of other great mezzos (well, she is clearly a tier 1 mezzo along with Bartoli and Didonato). But when I watch, I'm always speechless)) Her acting synergizes so well with her singing

I’ve never heard this before and I think I know. It is so damn difficult and the singer NAILED IT!!! Everything about this performance was incredible. Not only were the runs sublime but the melodic phrases, and recitative parts were each in their own right wonderful and skillful. The orchestra also did a great job matching the color of the singer. I will be looking for more of Lea.
One of the finest performances I have ever seen---absolutely stunning by all performers. Lea is incredible---hardly from this planet---impossible virtuosic singing. What palpable happiness !! Händel is applauding ! My greatest thanks to all concerned.
