Elden Origin - Most Efficient Yautja & Xenomorph Killer, An Almost Unkillable Mutated Bio/Synthetic

- What happens when a helpful and kind individual is deceived and betrayed by his only friend
in the universe? Well, that individual fills his veins with rage, making it his life’s singular
agenda to seek revenge. That’s an oversimplified story of Elden, a synthetic construct created
by the evil organization Weyland Yutani. Elden was injected with black goo by his friend
Francis Lane on a moon called LV 223. Following this, Elden went through a grotesque
mutation that made him not only violent but extremely powerful as well. The mutation
causes Elden to grow into a vaguely humanoid beast with immense power and special
mutations like jaws coming out of his abdomen. Furthermore, he developed the ability to
infect others. In this video, we will explore nine comic issues from the Fire and Stone comic
series, and take a thrill ride through his life’s story and a glorious end. Let’s begin, shall we?

I haven't read the comics but it seems like he became more and more stable as he mutated. Sort of like he adapted to the psychological side-effects over time.

He was never mindless. I think he gained intelligence and sentience. He was upset at first but then he was logical.. loved it. At the end the other guy changed too and he helped him..

When the narrator said, “Clearly he was a lying piece of shit.”, I absolutely lost it. It was so unexpectedly hilarious. Thumbs up well deserved for that comment alone.

You forgot to mention that the mountain they drill into at the end is the the very same alien that burst from the engineers chest at the very end of Prometheus. He ran around the planet looking for stuff to eat but once he finished off any corpses, now starving he started eating the black goo. Needless to say, he became one with the planet.

Prometheus fire & stone omega is story where you find out what happened to the decon, it’s really laid out throughout the whole entire story tho highly recommended
that is really intresting because it implies xenomorphs can evolve into SAPIENCE and pacifascim it just requires them to literally eat kaijuu levels of resources and be entirly alone for a long period of time.
This would have made such the epic movie trilogy if they had made it!

Xenomorphs remind me of wasps , I know tarantula hawks are part of the inspiration as far as look and life cycle but behaviorally they are like yellowjackets or Asian giant hornets.

Predator flesh in other series has been known to have life-enhancing properties when eaten. I believe the series AVP eternal showcases this. Still, this might not be current canon.
In Predator Hunting Grounds, Dutch is still fighting the Predators when he´s over 70 years old. In the audio files he mentioned that his first battle with the Jungle Hunter left him with radiation sickness. After bringing back the dead body of another Predator, they offered Dutch an experimental operation using the Predator´s blood to cure him. It worked, he´s also aging slower and feels like he´s in his prime.
Highly recommend listening to those Audio Files on youtube, they somehow manage to make all the movies make sense.
Yup. The heart of the predator increases the lifespan of a human. Like that japanase guy that killed a predator and took its heart as its own. Don't know which comics i forgot. But i remembered the predator speak english the yautja said "DRAGON!"

I cant help but think that all of this happens in the same fictional universe as Warhammer40k... Construct men, early seafaring age for humanity, scientific curiosity that forgoes ethics... How incredibly cool would that be, if engineers were actually agents of the Old Ones :D That crossover would be so damn awesome.
I mean aren't the tyranids from 40K just knock off Xenomorphs? I guess I would just chalk that up to 40K adopting a bunch of aesthetic and story elements from other sci-fi franchises to stay relevant
@@jaredflynn3750 tyranids are much more diverse & deadly than a xeno. While inspired they are clearly different.
@@servalkorion686 yeah I guess that's fair I have seen tyranids that look more like octopi than like weird space praying mantises so they do have a bit more physiological diversity but it seems like generally they're definitely heavily inspired

The Story of Elden made into an Alien stand alone film would be amazing but I think the current story is just going to focus on David creating the Xenomorphs as we know them.
This story would be amazing to be in a movie! But we will never get it.
Four-fifths of this storyline relies on the magical change in synthetics' 'biology'. Silicon muscles lubricated with liquid lithium would be as hospitable for the black goo as a waste oil drum--there is no DNA to mutate. If the writers ignored the basic nature of synthetics because they wanted 'something cool', then they failed a writers; there can't be existential horror when you combine TWO magical concepts. You need the human element for the encounter to trigger the thought process. I understand they wanted Eldon to be a good guy, but they could've actually used the 'filter' concept and had Francis inject some goo into a sample of Eldon's blood, THEN inject himself with the 'cut' product. The goo would go to work on Francis and perhaps even incorporate the structure of the artificial 'blood' (but not the actual stuff, which has to be manufactured) into the re-writing of Francis' body. Or combine Francis' blood sample with the good and then injected Eldon. I don't know. But I do know that this whole arc requires Pinocchio to already be a real boy before it starts.
Heck even a 'nurse; model synth that's designed to produce various blood types for the crew if necessary; that biological 'uprgrade' being exploited by the goo would be interesting as the synth now suddenly becomes capable of creating life rather than a first aid vending machine . . .

@@reee_4067 yeah. So let me give you a little writing lesson. Anyone who just "ass-pulls" something into their story isn't going to make anything worth reading and thereby is never going to make it as a writer or is going to destroy their career.
A critical aspect of storytelling are the stakes. The reason why we care about the story or the characters therein. A really good way, maybe the only way in fact, to establish these are to create rules for your universe because any universe where literally anything can happen at any time is boring. You know that you don't have to care about anyone because their circumstances are whatever the writer wants them to be. The lord of the rings would never have been anywhere near as famous of respected if Tolkien had had sauron destroyed by flying saucers because that's so far outside the realm of what's been established. This is the same for any arbitrary contradiction of the rules.
So in the aliens universe, we have two rules that ridley Scott set up for us that concern this piece. 1) black goo meddles with and rewrites DNA, 2) synths are non-organic artificial life forms without DNA. So now those rules are arbitrarily broken and we start to get lost because we all have to readjust how we understand something that's been set in stone without anyone explaining why. And it makes for sloppy storytelling.
If you want to maintain the pedigree of excellence that made alien what it is, then you absolutely cannot pull just anything out your ass

That was a cool story. It’s like Ghost In the Shell where the Major becomes a collective conscience with the Puppetmaster. Elden seems like Ultron in the What If series but an intellectual, helping learning personality wanting more.

I don't think it's like that. I think it's more that he now is the monster rather then just being merged to that one part of it's body. By that I mean he has full control. Perhaps he'll figure out how to move the planet, who knows

As far as I know the black goo was to be used as a weapon of mass destruction similarly to how it was used in Covenant

I always thought the whole "he can regenerate limbs back" was so lazy and boring. Where does it get all this matter from? There has to be a source or something. Like the moive "The Thing" where it gets matter from humans by "eating them" pulling matter out of nowhere is lazy and bland imo.
