aliens v predator: prey - one of my favourites of all the aliens and predator novels. im kinda hoping this is what they are going for in the new movie.
I've always wondered about the possibility of a Predator adopting some orphaned offspring from another sentient species to raise (akin to Samus and the Chozo), as a result of one of their hunts/duels. Since humans tend to garner respect from them as prey/warriors.
Interesting idea. I wonder how this adopted human would react as if the parents were killed by Predators and that he’s being raised by a species that glorifies trophy and sport hunting. Would he kill a fellow human as a result of culture of sport hunting?
I absolutely love this story for not taking a more simplistic view of allowing a human to simply blend right in with the Predators. The rejection she faxed directly parallels what countless others experience when moving to an unfamiliar place, never truly fitting in. This really needs to be a movie.

She could be made into an even more iconic character on the levels of Drizzt Do'Urden. Her story already knocks on the doors of mythical icon status. What they don't mention in this is that the predators blood neutralises the aliens acid blood, so when he marks naguchi he uses a combination of his and the aliens blood to mark her. Yes it's still going to burn and suck like hell but it SHOULDN'T burn clear through her skull

Yep! I too reckon this woman’s story would make a great film!
Make it a movie, yes. But Alexa Woods was the first woman (that we know of) marked in Alien vs. Predator.
I enjoyed this video so much. So much excitement and a well told story.
There's money to be made in a Series for this character, for sure ... but the spot light has to hit its mark in order for Machiko Noguchi to come to life. I hope it does ...
I hope we get to see her on live, it will be cool to see a human not only getting a predators respect but also joining them
Great lore, great coverage, amazing story.
This should be a movie.
It's amazing how much of the 'Machiko Noguchi' art is of women who aren't even the least bit Asian.
Honestly. The thumbnail for this video is insulting to the character. The most Japanese sounding name in history attached to a character that is driven to restore her family honor, works for Chigusa Corporation, and has her initial arc on Ryushi. So, Japanese name, incredibly Japanese cultural motivation, Japanese Corporation (Chigusa kanji means thousand seed, which is likely related to them terraforming planets), on a planet with yet again...shocker...a Japanese name.
Despite all that.... "Nah she Black."
Sometime people draw remixes that’s all respect to the OG character design at all times you’ll see it with DBZ and other things it’s just a remix non canon.
So the argument is that there are no black people living in Japan?
@@rasalghul1904 that isn't what I said, but you know that. Also you should maybe spend 3 seconds researching something before you attempt to twist someone's words simply for the sake of being contrarian.
Here's what I mean. This is Japan's ethnicity demographics.
Japanese 98.1%, Chinese 0.5%, Korean 0.4%, other 1% (includes Filipino, Vietnamese, and Brazilian) (2016 est.)
Both black and white ethnicities are so miniscule they aren't even included in "other"
So, despite the fact that I didn't at all say that. I could have. Japan and most Asian countries for that matter are INCREDIBLY homogenous (means everyone is the same race. Went out on limb here assuming you didn't know).
Most countries with homogenous populations make American racism and xenophobia look like little league.
@@yourlogicisnonexistent2798 you do know there are black Asians who are indigenous to Asian. Look it Melanesians. They aren’t African either.
really enjoyed this story when it came out and was hoping for a live action adaptation even back then
So when she had her mark removed, was that the predator more or less saying go be with your people as a mercy to her for her service? Or was that seen as her being dishonored and abandoned?
I've always loved the predators in all of their movies. I would love to see a movie about this character.
she needs a movie of her own
Jessica Henwick as Machiko Noguchi it needs to happen in Live Action. Loved the Video and that was the first Actress that came to my mind when I was watching this.
Having this main character be put as a movie is cool and should happen
remember the first facehugger we all saw in the 1979 movie Alien,, one drop of its blood was enough to go through 3-4 layers of unkown spaceshipmetal,,,, you would think that a mere drop of a xenomorphs blood would give any human brain damage if it was spilled on their forehead 🤔🤔🤔.
What they don't mention in this is that the predators blood neutralises the aliens acid blood, so when he marks naguchi he uses a combination of his and the aliens blood to mark her. Yes it's still going to burn and suck like hell but it SHOULDN'T burn clear through her skull
@@johnbeck1978
Any acid, depending on its reactivity, will neutralize (or at least be somewhat less acidic) when coming in to contact of a different chemical.
I don't remember exactly since chemistry 101 was a decade ago for me.
Continuity was never a real part of the alien universe. The engineers go from giant elephant face beings to changing to just body armour.
The aliens' acid blood will oxidize much faster than other types. It's another one of their biological failsafes that help to prevent too much damage to their surroundings and potential prey.
Definitely, a live movie would be one... I would look forward to seeing...
I like this character ❤️ her speed, courage and intelligence offset her lack of brute force. Would like to see this character in future films.
Yeah I would love to see a live action version of this character.
Let’s do this .. This would make a great addition to the franchise
Best character of the series thank you for doing this waiting for a long time
Machiko Noguchi deserves to be on the big screen
Woke Hollywood would never allow it. She's a strong independent woman who isn't a Mary Sue. She's too human for their liking.
YES FINALLY! Was waiting for you @Marvelous Video’s to cover Machiko Noguchi. Let’s go!!
i for one would love for this story to be inverted into an installment of the predator movies
A fun little known story is of a xenomorph who took care of a sick child the queen was raised by humans and she had adopted her later on in the queens life the girl had grown up and moved on until her adoptive mother was attacked and nearly killed thanks to a psionic link they established she came to rescue obsidian alpha
Recall the name of the story?
What ???
Use full stops and punctuation. You make no sense
Can you english better please
it's so hard to read this without even a "period".
THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who is the picture on the left? It's not machiko.
Angela Bassett????
A cosplayer named Alicia Marie
its in the description
Dayum that was a fun watch, well done. Thanks for putting all that together
Okay, it's was your last comment that actually got me thinking "live action rendition". Oh heck yeah! That would be amazing! Zoe Saldana or Zoë Kravitz would be my choice for the role. I've read the AvP comics many moons ago so a live action of that alone would be fun let alone her complete story as a trilogy... nicely done!😎
Let's see, well, Zoe Saldana would be a good choice, but not the other Zoe, sorry. I think Sanaa Lathan would have been the ideal choice back when she was in a Predator movie and having already battled it out with the Predator. But now she is too old to play the role, sadly.
@@tubucoco , I agree w/the first and second parts of your reply, but when you said S. Lathan was too old for the part nowadays I felt a bit sad... smh, lol.😞
@@Borg101001 yeah, my man, I had a crush on ole gurl when I was young, we around the same age. But got damn it shows you how fast time flies. Smh I saw that Predator movie she was in and loved it, Aliens vs Predators or AVP as it's known by. Yeah, I hate that she had gotten too old for the part now, she's incredibly 50 years old now, but doesn't look it at all. I think she would have been perfect for the role of Machiko Noguchi.
@@tubucoco
Yeah they did good work on AvP. Honestly if they did stick with the original version I'd be a lil more excited to see it. But the whole 'lost' breeding trial pyramid proved to be just fine and original.
@@Borg101001 yeah, I hear you on that, my man. The lost breeding thing threw me off also.
This definitely needs to be made as a trilogy movie!
omg so in AVP Sanaa Latham is technically a yautja
I remember reading these books! She was awesome!
Disney needs to put her in the movies. And have the Colonial Marines finally fight Yautja.
Of course, the /pol/flakes will whine about how Disney is pandering to the woke and making the franchise unrealistic, and us true AvP fans will just point out she's a pre-existing character from the comics and they're fake fans.
Is it pretty easy to find the comic books I'm a fan of the movies but would like to read them
If done right, this movie will be off the chain!!!!!
too be fair it was established top knot was a very lax predator leader, in most cases shorty and his friend would have been instantly executed by there codes for the cheating.
Top Knot respect tradition and not her, But to be fair she went from and mild manner admin to one of the best warriors so he must of trained her well.
@@battlepugg3120 A. he didn't train her his mentor did and B. by there laws cheating in single combat is spitting in traditions face the person who is fighting doesn't matter.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A MOVIE, HELL THEY COULD MAKE A TRILOGY JUST FOR HER ADVENTURES
The heroine of the original AVP graphic novel is an excellent character.
I agree with the ending this does need to be a real movie
There was a woman in aliens v predator movie that got a mark of honour by the predator himself right?
As I recall, she was bestowed by a collapsible spear by the predators upon retrieving their fallen.
Yeah, Lex. She wasn't half the woman Machiko is though, no offense to her fans.
Yea her name was Sanaa Lathan
Seriously why has this not been made into a movie or even a show this shit was awesome! 😎👍
I would watch a Predator movie with this story and in the role I see Rosario Dawson or, a new favourite actress for me, the lady that plays Blackfire in Titans show, Damaris Lewis.
I'm not ready for a black Machiko. XD
@@TheTrueFeleas I really don't care what color of the skin it is, if it's a good story and not a woke fest. I would watch even a Charlie\s Angel type of story with 3 different Machiko, IF it's a good story.
Somebody should turn this into a movie but somebody good somebody would not mess things up and make a bad movie off of something have a potential to be a great movie
I would love to see this made into a movie or a franchise. However since Disney purchased fox I’m a little skeptical that they would do it right. In today’s climate injecting woke into everything has the potential to screw everything up. I guess that’s why we just can’t have nice things anymore.
She does need a live action movie.
So woke and brave 😆
Yes, a movie needs to be made on this 🎬 🎥
I love your narration of the story ... and I also love the story as much as I hate it .... if I had already spent 3 years on a predator ship I would of continued living amongst the yautja ... not turning aginst them in a fit of rage over some silly hillbilly humans ... I find it odd she made a big deal about honor ... to go an throw it all away ... I demand a rewrite 😌 lol
Yesssss! I remember when I was a kid grandpa had comic books and I believe she was my first person I come across.. I don't really remember much about her, because I was really really young, but I remember her face in the book.🥰🤩🏅🎯🤗💜
While I would love to see this being made into a Netflix series or even a trilogy I can already hear the cries from people who would claim her to be a Mary Sue or having plot armor.
Well some people also hate Naru from Prey Predator movie because she took down the wounded predator by herself so yeah people would hate the main character that happens to be a girl nowadays
@@ayeskidman9269 its not about her being a woman that made her character unlikeable. She had no progression, she knew she was the best Hunter from the very beginning (the village just didn't aknowladge her) and she was proven right in the end with 0 trauma or sign of hardship. No progression, which made Dutch likeable, he went from hardcore merc to panik ridden and desperate, stripped down and tossed around like a child, barely surviving. Also, in Prey she goes from not being able to hunt harmless rabbits to 1v6 w/o a scratch in the Hunter camp and then mand-handling a predator and even understanding it's own tech better (i mean come on). Not even the predator in Prey could take fights w/o trading blows and getting injured.
Always remember she is an example of why they come to Earth to hunt , the small weak beings on this planet have something intangible that the predators understand & admire .
It's a strong black wamen.
She's japanese
That was a great video, I enjoyed it very much. I only read the 1st Aliens vs Predator & always wanted to follow her story.............Thanks again
