Starter replacement on 2014 Jeep Cherokee sport 4x4 four-wheel drive. A quick look at the location of the starter and advice. Follow the Hanes manual video to do this job minus pulling out the back seat because the vehicle won't start to relieve the pressure anyway for the fuel lines. at 0:50 that looks like a much easier way of accessing the PTU actuator.
Your annoyance of the starter location may have just saved a lot of people a lot of time and headaches of having to remove the whole PTU just because the stupid little electric motor inside of the actuator housing that isn't sealed shut and gets full of oil and fails. Causing the whole PTU to fail. Amazing, bravo.

Unfortunately no, you can't access it. It's under the intake manifold. The view that you're seeing is with the intake manifold removed.
