      I lived in Atlanta for over 20 years. I am now in Orlando, FL. Still love my old home town ATL. It is such an awesome city. If you are ever back in Atlanta, there are two great places to try out, a place Called Cafe Intermezzo. They have desserts from mostly Italy and Paris shipped there, it is so good. And a Sushi Place Called Rusans. If you go the weekend, it is such a lively place. HAHAHA. Thanks for taking me back to ATL.

    I am surprised we did not cross paths earlier. We lived in Atlanta for twenty years and ate at the varsity many times but the prices were much lower. Love it! This is the one I've been waiting on!
    It's amazing how similar our experiences were...Shawnasi also saying that the onion rings were greasy, me loving their hot dogs, etc.
    And since they weren't very busy when we were there, and they weren't really yelling at people, we had to ask the girl behind the counter to do the "What'll Ya Have?", too.
    It's also neat, that we were both there within just such a short time of each other. How fun would it have been, to have run into each other?
    And I think what Cindy had, is their signature Frosted Orange.
    Great video!

    • @vafunseekers
      @vafunseekers  9 місяців тому +1

      It definitely would have been a blast to have been there at the same time. Yes, we thought our experiences were so similar too. David loved the hotdogs so much and said he might have gotten one or two more if he didn't have such a long drive ahead of him.
      The frosted orange was just soft-serve ice-cream. Was expecting it to be more slushy or like a shake. It was solid and no way you could drink it with a straw. I had to let it melt but it was good.
      It was a lot of fun. When we left it was more people there but still didn't hear much of the What'll Ya Have, What'll Ya Have. That's my favorite part of the experience. Would love to see it hopping on gameday. I'm sure it's crazy then.
      Looking forward to watching some of your beach videos. We've been busy the last couple of weeks with school starting. Did you have a chance to do any drone footage of the beach?
      Hope y'all have a great week! I know it's always hard going back to work after a vacation.

    • @NCMemoryMakers
      @NCMemoryMakers 9 місяців тому

      @vafunseekers Yes, I definitely dread going back to work.
      As far as drone footage, I filled up 2 1/2 memory cards. It's going to take me a long time to sort through it, but I'm going to do it as I can. Yes, lots of beach footage...including a little on Anna Maria Island. I got a few cityscapes with the drone (Atlanta, Sarasota, and Jacksonville), as well. Can't wait to get those put together.
      I have literally become addicted to flying the drone. I'm literally always looking for places to fly it, and get some good scenery. I still enjoy doing them and putting them to background music.

    Hey vafunseekers! I found your channel a couple of weeks ago and have been enjoying watching your reviews! I was just curious how you decide what venues to review next?
    Last week I saw you had made a couple of reviews out in Virginia and the week prior it was FL? And now you're in Atlanta, GA! Wow! How do you manage all that? And whats the decision making process look like?

    • @vafunseekers
      @vafunseekers  9 місяців тому +1

      Welcome to our channel. So glad to have you as a funseeker.
      Interesting question. First of all as you probably figured out we live in Virginia. So when we are at home we often go to local places or other areas in Virginia. Our schedule is driven by the school schedule. Education is a top priority so we make sure Carly does not miss any school. So our adventures have to take place on breaks and weekends. Recently I retired (Cindy) and David has Fridays off. So the last couple of Fridays we have went somewhere relatively close because we want to be home when Carly gets home from school.
      We love traveling and always have traveled different places. We like traveling and making memories as a family. So we decided we would try out UA-cam and document our travels.
      So how we choose our video is based on where we are going on vacation and short trips. We try to choose locations that we are planning on visiting. I am a big Tripadvisor person and have always researched the best attractions and restaurants in an area. We just try to share what we do. We also take recommendations/suggestions from our subscribers. That's always fun to go somewhere suggested from a funseeker. I also enjoy trying places we have seen on TV (ex- Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives).
      Sometimes it probably seems that we are all over the place. We went to the Pigeon Forge Area in May (and back in June for the Buc-ee's opening) Pennsylvania in June, and Florida in July. So we video when we are in these places and come home and put the videos together. So you may see any of those places in the upcoming weeks as well as places in Virginia. Sometimes things are date sensitive like the peach orchard video from Friday. People may want to go and get peaches so we got that out right away.
      Hope this makes sense and gives you an idea of how our channel operates. We love God, our family, and America. I think that comes through in our videos. Our videos are family oriented because that is who we are. If you don't mind me asking, where are you watching from? Sorry for such a long response but just wanted to try to explain our channel to you a little more. Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.

    • @vafunseekers
      @vafunseekers  9 місяців тому

      I agree with you about it being ridiculous that you can not use cash. Some places you go to only takes cash. I've also noticed some restaurants give discounts if you pay with cash. One thing that irritates us are restaurants without a paper menu or having a menu posted. We do not like to scan codes to see the menu. Many of the theme parks we have visited are also cashless. We have had places tell us that going cashless cuts down on theft. I just know that we don't care for cashless either. Appreciate you watching and commenting. Have a great week!
