Wow, that flounder looked so good!! Made me hungry just looking at it! The restaurant must be a great place to eat, considering the line waiting for admittance. Have never eaten my salmon cakes grilled but love to give them a try. Dill sauce sounds like a good accompaniment. And I just knew Miss Carly would be ordering clam chowder. It looks like it’s booming and plum full of folks ! So you know it’s gotta to be a good meal ! I’m not a big Seafood Person but , Cindy your food looked so good . I will eat fish if it’s like Long John’s Fish . I love a good bake potato 🥔 ! Carly is a Clam Chowder gal 🧡 I’m glad she enjoyed it ! I do love Salmon Cakes my mom makes some of the best ! David enjoyed the salmon cakes and thought the dill really added to them. This was his first time having dill on salmon cakes. Long John Silvers seems to get a bad rap on the computer. Not sure why. The one is our area always stays busy.
You know Carly loves some clam chowder. The fish and shrimp were good. I really wanted to try the chicken but one of us had to try the fish and shrimp. So I did and got the large so David could have his own piece of flounder.

Maybe I'll have to make a return trip to Myrtle Beach one of the days! This was yet another winner! Has Carly ever tried Lobster Bisque? That's my "go to" for soup. New England Clam Chowder, if I can't have that. God Bless!
David has had Lobster Bisque but I'm not sue if Carly tried it or not. She typically likes soup and Clam Chowder is her favorite. We enjoyed Hoskins. I've always heard that you find out where the locals go and that's where you want to go.

Cindy, the fish looked delicious and I can truly understand that some fish has a stronger flavor.
I now love Catfish but had to acquire a taste in the beginning. I suppose the fish is served more in the southern states as is Bar-B-Que and Creole style of cooking.
I sure wish we would have more options in the
Northern States.
David, no onion rings today? Glad you enjoyed the coleslaw. I am not fond of the large mixture of bagged cabbage. I usually ask first I before I order OR take sneak peeps at other diner’s plates! Haha 😂.
David you do an awesome job by giving the address and location. You also know how to work the camera slow enough that we can read and pause to see the entire menu.
Other channels fly through the menu so quickly that I have to close my eyes 👀 so I don’t get nauseated 🤢!

Cindy, We get a lot of things that interrupt us while filming so we have just learned to ignore a lot and keep going. So when Carly sneezed, we just kept going with it. She's really good about not letting things stop her. lol
I liked the flounder but it was fishier than other flounder I have had. Catfish is something that is very dependent on the breading that is used on it, in my opinion.
David really takes his time to video the menu and the surroundings. He really appreciates you commenting on it and is glad you like how he does it.
Clam Chowder is one of Carly's favorite and yes she puts lots of crackers in her soup. We do a lot of research on restaurants before we go. We check out the menu, prices, and reviews. We also take suggestions from our subscribers. We have friends coming up to us and telling us we need to try restaurants when we travel in certain areas.
You had me laughing about your husband, daughter and the traffic. Sorry that you were in a horrible wreck and the heavier traffic makes you nervous.

I just love when Carly says, let's go check this place out. Cindy your food was eye catching, and David's meal was a great value, i love salmon patties.Carlys chowder looked very rich, so creamy and piping hot. That dining room looked very homey and the fish on the wall was cool, you can always tell the place is good when their. lined out the door. Let's Go Check This Place Out has become Carly's signature line that everyone seems to enjoy hearing her say. Stay tuned for a special debut related to this saying. The fish and shrimp were definitely attractive on the plate and delicious too. David enjoyed the salmon patties and liked the twist of the dill sauce on them. Carly is a clam chowder lover and definitely gave her approval on the chowder here. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and I can understand why it is so popular with the locals. The food here was delicious. The shrimp was my favorite, but i do want to try the chicken. I've seen a couple videos from NCMemoryMakers from here. The lunch specials were very reasonable for the beach area.
We were wondering if y'all had the chance to try Hoskin's. So glad that you all had a mostly good experience there. I am curious about those grilled dill salmon cakes. I had not noticed that item on the menu, but it sounds interesting.
I can't say about the fried chicken, because I haven't gotten it. But my stepdad got it when we went before he passed, and he said it was very good, so I'm sure Cindy would like it. We love the flounder there, but I guess that is because I really don't notice the "fishy" taste so much. But another reason we like it there, is because it is usually a really good, thick piece. Not just a little fish with a lot of breading, but a good amount of fish itself.
Come to think of it, I don't remember actually getting the hush puppies. I wouldn't have remembered not getting those with the meal, but I guess you have to order them extra. I will have to go back and watch our reviews, to remember for sure.

We enjoyed Hoskins. The lunch specials were definitely good deals. David really enjoyed the grilled dill salmon cakes. We knew we wanted to try the flounder and shrimp from y'alls video. So I got the large of that and David got the special. I remembered you saying that you got 2 pieces with the large so David could have a piece of it.
I'm pretty sure that you had hushpuppies in your video. Would definitely go back again.

Now that's some good lookin food right there! A first for me hearing about grilled salmon cakes, most times I've had them they were pan fried however bet the grilled were just as good if not better, I'm not sure if I'd have the dill sauce on them most seafood I'd use melted butter or lemon if it's fish! The flounder looked good but looked different, was this bone in? The clam Chowder did look good as well! Thanks for sharing as always!
Definitely good tasting food here. It is a local favorite in Myrtle Beach. David said the salmon cakes with the sauce were tasty. We use butter and lemon on our fish too. It was boneless. It may have looked different because the skin was still on it. It was tasty but not as tasty as the shrimp. Carly enjoyed the clam chowder, which is always one of her favorite things to get. I don't recall seeing anyone get the scalloped potatoes so I can't comment on them. You don't find scalloped potatoes on a lot of menus. Everything we saw looked so good so I bet they are too. Thanks for watching and commenting.
